Thoughts on the new Vector 2022 theme backlash

'''Original Title: Thoughts on people disliking the new Vector 2022 look on Wikipedia and other MediaWiki sites'''

Recently I’ve seen some people hated the new Vector 2022 ↗ look that was implemented as the default a few days ago. They bashed it like it was made out of people that only cared about themselves. So, now what? People really don’t like change these days…

My opinions on the matter, but to me it’s just like how what the Windows 11 ↗ situation is by some (especially when it first released in 2021). Most people bashed the operating system just because it looks '''''bad''''', while others liked it. Same thing with the new font that Discord ↗ introduced for its client software, which caused some backlash to most people, but others didn’t mind as much.

It’s probably going to be another round of changes that may drive people crazy and go mad about it, but I’m not too worried about that.

- JWiki2151 (January 20, 2023)

NOTE: For you mobile readers and viewers out there, this most likely won’t affect you, unless you’re running in desktop mode.

Media player (2022)

The part about Groove Music/Media Player (2022) in the Windows Media Player article hopes that you can help update Groove Music is not exclusive to Windows 10. Windows 11 was also built in and was replaced by Media Player (2022) after 2022. And 2023 At that time, Media Player (2022) has also replaced Groove Music in Windows 10. I hope you can help rewrite part of the description in the Windows Media Player article that mentions Groove Music/Media Player (2022).
Groove Music was also included in Windows 11. Should the beginning of the article be adjusted? 2401:E180:8D00:D95F:5FA7:6E58:B433:6201 ↗ (talk) 14:14, 11 April 2023 (UTC)

List of Intel Core processors

Hi JWiki2151, thank you for your additions to that page!

I just thought I'd let you know that what's happening at this moment in time is that I'm actually in the process of completing the merge of CPU models from the i3, i5, i7, i9 articles into the 'list of Intel Core' article, as well as presenting them in the new table layout (link to merge discussion ↗). Those separate i3/i5/i7 etc list articles are actually going to get turned into redirects to this 'List of Core' page soon once complete.

Since the page has gotten a bit long after the merge, and since Intel changed up their naming system with the 2024 Raptor Lake / Meteor Lake series, I'm probably gonna take advantage of the situation and start a split request to put the core i-series models into a new "List of Intel Core i3/i5/i7/i9 processors" combined page, as well as start a new page called "List of Intel Core and Core Ultra 3/5/7/9" processors or similar for all the new and upcoming processors to go in. I also notice a new series called "Intel Processor" has replaced the Celeron and Pentium brands, so I'm probably gonna put those under a new "List of Intel Processor processors" page as well (got any better ideas for the title of that page? lol).

So yeah. Just letting you know about some upcoming major changes to these list articles since you've contributed a lot to them recently. —&nbsp;<span style="background:#1F6295;color:white;padding:1q 5q;border-radius:10q;font-family:Franklin Gothic, Verdana">AP&nbsp;499D25</span> <span style="color:#1A527D">(talk)</span> 11:18, 10 May 2024 (UTC)

Update the Dell XPS and Dell Inspiron articles

Please add the following sentence to each article, complementing the January 2025 Dell PCs update you previously incorporated: ''"Its new lineup of AI PCs includes the Dell laptop line, designed for play, school and work; the Dell Pro laptop line, which emphasizes professional-grade productivity; and the Dell Pro Max workstation line, developed for maximum performance."'' Supporting references: CNET ↗ and Mashable ↗.

Speedy deletion ↗ nomination of :Video clip (online media) ↗

A tag has been placed on :Video clip (online media) ↗ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G15 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because it exhibits one or more of the following signs which indicate that the page could only plausibly have been generated by large language model ↗s (an "AI chatbot ↗" or other application using such technology) and would have been removed by any ''reasonable human review'':
Text produced by these applications can be unsuitable for an encyclopedia ↗, and output must be carefully checked. Pages created using them that did not undergo human review may be deleted at any time.

If you think these signs were incorrectly identified and you assert that you did carefully check the content, you may '''contest the nomination''' by visiting the page ↗ and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines ↗. Additionally – if you would like to create an article but find creating new encyclopedia content yourself difficult, please share this with other editors at the Teahouse ↗, and they may be able to help. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your legitimate contributions.<!-- Template:Db-llm-notice -->

I did a source review and all of the sources were either non-existent or completely irrelevant, which is a strong indicator that you are using LLMs to write articles. Please do not do this. I strongly recommend reading about why we do not permit their use on Wikipedia ↗ in this way.

<span style="font-size:small;"><span style="font-family:monospace;">'''David Palmer'''//</span>cloventt</span> (talk) 03:31, 18 September 2025 (UTC)

:Hello. I just wanted to say that I did not use any LLMs or AI chatbots to create this article, as the majority of the article was just copypasted from an older revision of the article "Short-form content ↗", which had nothing to do with me using any LLMs or any AI generated information to create the article.
:If anything that I said here is incorrect, misleading and/or wrong, then please let me know.
:Thanks for your patience. JWiki2151 (talk) 07:03, 19 September 2025 (UTC)

Don't believe me? Then read this warning that I've gotten on my talk page about this. Don't gloss over this, because it's a real message that I've received.
:I'm so sorry that I am unable to fulfill your request at this time, but I'm just trying to respect those editors who think of that whole BS nonsense when everything written on said article is written legitimately by humans with some copypasting involved.
:Thanks for asking anyway.
:(also sorry for my outburst and ranting on this, this whole thing just makes me offended TBH) JWiki2151 (talk) 15:27, 16 January 2026 (UTC)

:Hi, I would like to say that most if not all of the offending information in that section is nothing more than copypasted material from various sources without permission from the original authors, considering the sources that you have provided, which is used for most of the stuff written in there. If this continues, I will purposefully delete the entire section or rewrite it without any copyrighted material copypasted word for word in that section.
:Thanks for investigating this issue though, and I'll be very careful with editing from here on out. JWiki2151 (talk) 17:27, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
::Some of the material was added by you and some was already there when you arrived. I reported the article at WP:CP ↗ and one of the patrollers there will clean the violations in a week or so if no one does so in the meantime. — Diannaa&nbsp;<span style="color:red">🍁</span>&nbsp;(talk) 17:58, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
:::Thanks for responding; it would seem like that offending information there was already present when I first edited the article back in late December 2025, and no one seemed to take notice of this issue until now when I have added material that was literally copypasted from the original sources without writing it in my own words (and not paraphrasing it in any way whatsoever) just to complete the list from the sources provided (specifically in the section "NT kernel switches").
:::That problem is being worked on by myself, as I'm now working on rewriting that whole section to not to have too much information taken word for word from the original sources and writing it down in my own words, with some minor paraphrasing in between. All of the visible information with the offending sources you've linked above before whatever you have tagged on in that section has already been rewritten to have as little-to-no copypasted information from these said sources to the best of my ability.
:::As for the offending part that you have tagged on in that section, I will refrain from editing that particular part of that section until a consensus is reached.
:::Thanks for your input.
:::P.S. Most of the information there on the "NT kernel switches" section has been there since at least August 2009 ↗, and this has surprisingly not been noticed for copyright violations in over 17 years, until now. This will obviously be rectified within a week's notice once I have a proper replacement for the offending information provided. JWiki2151 (talk) 20:05, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
::::We do have a much more sophisticated detection system in place nowadays. It was your edit that triggered the bot report, and I took the inititative to check the whole article. Thanks for your efforts in cleaning this up. — Diannaa&nbsp;<span style="color:red">🍁</span>&nbsp;(talk) 23:41, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
:::::The copyright issues in the NTLDR article are now resolved as of this revision ↗, as well as the following revisions before it. I also double-checked the article afterwards using the Copyvio Detector and found no red or yellow "Violation suspected/likely" warnings. Thanks to everyone who helped out in this process, including me. JWiki2151 (talk) 00:49, 31 January 2026 (UTC)

hey i just was going through my contribs and saw you'd pseudo-responded to me in the edit summary, obviously i know what a metre is; i am just confused on 1. why it even mentions this because 4.48m is nowhere close to 12m and 2. if 12m is even correct because i mean just looking at the longest cars wikipedia page there hasn't been a car longer than 7m ever. 'at least' is also confusing wording, it should be 'cars must be 12 m (1,200 cm; 12,000 mm) long or less' if it's true, and if it is why is there no lower limit stated! gah those entire brackets give me a headache i don't know why they're there tbh Thegees (talk) 19:10, 6 May 2026 (UTC)
