Artificial languages

I removed the Interlingua section. I think auxlangs and conlangs have no place in linguistic articles, unless they serve a very specific illustrational purpose, which in this case there wasn't at all. Jalwikip (talk) 09:29, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

Please do not use Wiktionary as a source.

Hi,
I just reverted an edit of yours ↗, by which you added 'other pronunciations from Wiktionary' to the article. I do not doubt your good intentions, but I have some advice for you: do not ever treat Wiktionary as a credible source, especially on pronunciations, which are incorrect probably for more than a quarter of entries. I have stopped contributing to that site a long time ago, because you will find errors even with such basic words as 'almond' and 'mongrel' (both fixed as of now). The Wikipedia article on Wiktionary says it is in growing use among academia. Do not be fooled; this has nothing to do with accuracy: a lexicographer will not be checking the pronunciation of 'almond' or 'wyvern', but rather investigating the phenomenon of crowd-sourcing.
