Re: Joke Edit

You put another President's signature (Bill Clinton) on another president's (I can't remember?). I thought it was vandalism, but you obviously were experimenting. I took off your warning --Bearly541 17:23, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

:I don't understand what you mean about "another President's signature". I ''have'' fixed a lot of links to Clinton ↗, pointing them to Bill Clinton ↗, as noted above, as well as a number of other presidents. I may have made a mistake fixing one of those links. If so, I apologize for the inadvertent mistake. It was not "experimenting". Again, I wish you had documented where you found it. Looking through your last 1000 edits, I don't see any page I might have touched. If you had looked at my other contributions, you would have seen that they were well-intended. 69.136.96.119

Hi. Please look at User_talk:69.136.96.119 ↗. This user has had several final warnings and is vandalizing again today. Other admins have been extremely lax with banning him. JimmB 21:14, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

:If you have a user to report to an admin, please post it to WP:AIV ↗ rather than to an individual admin's Talk page. Regards, <span style="border:1px solid #808;padding:1px;"><span style="color:#fff;background:#808;">'''&nbsp;(aeropagitica)&nbsp;'''</span><span style="color:#808;background:#fff;">'''&nbsp;(talk)&nbsp;'''</span></span> 21:30, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

I did report him to WP:AIV ↗, at 21:10, 4 August 2006. And ''have'' more than once. Other admins have put short term blocks on him. I have seen you take what I believe to be more appropriate action on similar vandals earlier today, so I thought I'd bring this to your personal attention. This is a particularly aggregious vandal! I won't bother you again. JimmB 21:39, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

:Ok, your reporting is in line with procedure, so that's fine. As you can see from http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3AIpblocklist&action=search&limit=&ip=69.136.96.119 ↗, the IP address editor has been blocked until the sixth of August. Myself or another editor can review the situation if they begin to vandalise WP again after the block has expired. Egregious ↗ is the word to which you refer, by the way! Regards, <span style="border:1px solid #808;padding:1px;"><span style="color:#fff;background:#808;">'''&nbsp;(aeropagitica)&nbsp;'''</span><span style="color:#808;background:#fff;">'''&nbsp;(talk)&nbsp;'''</span></span> 22:10, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

|-

There is a eight ton rock in Ohio that was removed from the Ohio River ↗. This rock is known as the Indian Head Rock ↗
Dating back to the early 1800’s, this rock was seen sticking out of the Ohio River and used as a navigational mark for barges along the river. The names of citizens from the town of Portsmouth, Ohio ↗ are carved into the rock from the late nineteenth a early twentieth centuries. Some of the names were of well known families from Ohio. They would swim out to the rock, have their picture taken with it or simply carve their names into it.<br>
With the advent of the Locks and Dams along the Ohio River, the rock eventually was submerged, but the legend lived on.
A gentleman from Ironton, Ohio ↗ located the rock after searching a very long time for it, and he and a crew of scuba divers recovered the rock and took it to the shore to be donated to Ohio for historical value.<br>
After hearing the news about the rock being removed, Kentucky ↗ introduced legislation against the removal of the rock. They also want the diver who found it to be prosecuted for removing the rock. Kentucky owns the greatest part of the land the river runs on.
Even the Army Corp. of Engineers got involved as to how to move the rock without damaging it. Kentucky wants to have it returned to the river.

30px ↗ Hello JimmB! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot ↗ alerting you that '''1''' of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person ↗. The biographies of living persons ↗ policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability ↗, all biographies should be based on reliable sources ↗. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current ''{{PAGESINCATEGORY:All_unreferenced_BLPs}} ↗'' article backlog. The article Matt Zone ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗&#32; because of the following concern:
:<b>Appears not to meet the notability guidelines laid down by WP:POLITICIAN ↗</b>

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons ↗.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the <code>{{tl|dated prod}}</code> notice, but please explain why in your edit summary ↗ or on the article's talk page ↗.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing <code>{{tl|dated prod}}</code> will stop the proposed deletion process ↗, but other deletion process ↗es exist. Theo Vonkurnatowski / Theo Von

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hi, and thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give :Theo Vonkurnatowski ↗ a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into :Theo Von ↗. This is known as a "cut-and-paste ↗ move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history ↗, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be ''moved'' to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits ↗, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab ↗ at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect ↗ from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves ↗ to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut-and-paste-move repair holding pen ↗. Thank you. <!-- Template:uw-c&pmove--> '''Edenc1''''''Talk''' ↗ 17:10, 15 September 2013 (UTC)

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes ↗, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons ↗ in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America ↗, the Confederate States ↗, the Republic of Texas ↗, multiple states and territories ↗, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics ↗ will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest ↗. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects ↗. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards ↗. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki ↗ or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate ↗.

<span style="font-size:85%;">If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here ↗</span>

left|link=|alt=Notice|48px| ↗

The article :Robert J. Dolan (politician) ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗&#32;because of the following concern:
<blockquote>'''Non-notable politician. Only held local positions in small towns.'''</blockquote>
