Server-side rendered snapshot of this editor's Wikipedia talk page discussions.

Welcome!

Hello, Mattdpoole1999, and welcome ↗ to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions ↗. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Tim Howard (sheriff) ↗, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines ↗, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called '''Your first article ↗'''. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the '''Tea House ↗''', where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type '''{{tl|help me}}''' on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian ↗! Please sign your name ↗ on talk pages using four tildes (<nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions ↗ or ask me on my talk page. <!-- Template:First article --> Again, welcome!&nbsp;Kolbasz (talk) 00:08, 3 December 2013 (UTC)

Proposed deletion ↗ of Tim Howard (sheriff) ↗

left|link=|48px| ↗

The article Tim Howard (sheriff) ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗ because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy ↗, this newly created '''biography of a living person ↗''' will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source ↗ that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners ↗, or ask at the help desk ↗. Once you have provided at least one reliable source ↗, you may remove the {{tl|prod blp}} tag. '''Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced.''' If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can {{#ifexist:Tim Howard (sheriff)|request that it be undeleted|request that it be undeleted ↗}} when you are ready to add one.<!-- Template:ProdwarningBLP --> Kolbasz (talk) 00:08, 3 December 2013 (UTC)

Proposed deletion ↗ of Ralph Lorigo ↗

left|link=|48px| ↗

The article Ralph Lorigo ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗&#32; because of the following concern:
:'''WP:GNG ↗. Non-notable individual of small political party in a single county.'''

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons ↗.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary ↗ or on the article's talk page ↗.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process ↗, but other deletion process ↗es exist. In particular, the speedy deletion ↗ process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion ↗ allows discussion to reach consensus ↗ for deletion.<!-- Template:Proposed deletion notify --> Tutelary (talk) 21:48, 5 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Northrup R. Knox ↗, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Albert Johnson ↗ (check to confirm ↗&nbsp;|&nbsp;fix with Dab solver ↗). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. <small>Read the FAQ{{*}} Join us at the DPL WikiProject ↗.</small>

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on :Charles W. Goodier, Sr. ↗ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help ↗ or reference ↗ desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub ↗ for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable ↗ subjects and should provide references to reliable sources ↗ that verify ↗ their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may '''contest the nomination''' by visiting the page ↗ and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines ↗. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here ↗. <!-- Template:Db-nocontent-notice --> <!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> Ahecht (<small><span style="color:#FFF;background:#00f;display:inline-block;line-height:1.1em;vertical-align:-0.3em;font-size:75%;text-align:center;"><b>TALK<br />PAGE</b></span> ↗</small>) 22:21, 5 September 2014 (UTC)

Unspecified source/license for :File:AstorinoProfile.jpeg ↗

70px|left ↗
Thanks for uploading :File:AstorinoProfile.jpeg ↗. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag ↗, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{tl|PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{tlx|self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here ↗ - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions ↗. License tagging for File:RogerStone.jpeg

Thanks for uploading :File:RogerStone.jpeg ↗. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags ↗ to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list ↗, click on this link ↗, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions ↗. Thank you for your cooperation.<!-- User:OrphanBot/untagged-new --> --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 00:06, 25 January 2015 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics

{{ivmbox | image = Commons-emblem-notice.svg |imagesize=50px | bg = #E5F8FF | text = You have recently edited a page related to '''post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people''', a topic designated as '''''contentious ↗'''''. A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as ''contentious topics''. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee ↗. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators ↗ have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit <strong>carefully and constructively</strong>, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

<p>Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics ''procedures'', you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard ↗ or you may learn more about this contentious topic here ↗. 25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to :Matt Poole (political operative) ↗ when you modified the page, you introduced {{cl|Unknown parameters|unknown parameters}}. Just because you specify {{para|some_param|{{var|some_variable}}}} does not always mean that variable will display. The {{para|some_param}} must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview ↗ button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a '''Show preview''' button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Charles J. Gaughan ↗ moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Charles J. Gaughan ↗. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because '''it has no indication of notability of the subject''' and '''it appears to consists of machine-generated text ↗'''.
I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page ↗.
When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Please stop creating AI articles

Writing a non-script message because you don't seem to respond to the above... please stop creating/writing articles using AI. More often than not, it appears the articles you start are about noteworthy topics, but using AI to write them is prohibited on the encyclopedia (please read Wikipedia:Writing articles with large language models ↗ if you haven't already, it's very short). In essence, AI can can hallucinate facts and present them as truths in an article, and with minimal to no human oversight, these pieces of misinformation can stay around in an article for a very long time. This is especially true of articles about living people ↗, which you have created using LLMs in the past. These bits of misinformation, however small, can hurt both the reputations of the people you write about, and the reliability of the encyclopedia as a whole. If you continue to create articles using AI, the articles you start will continue to get nominated for deletion, wasting both your and the communities time, and down the line may lead to a block on your account. Please stop. '''<span style="color:orange;">Johnson</span>''''''<span style="color:blue;">524</span>''' 13:43, 30 June 2026 (UTC)
