Your edit was valid and is the normal way to show such redirects. But it so obscure that I really question whether it is more appropriate to bend the rule in this case. So I am starting a new discussion topic about it at talk:Division (mathematics) ↗. --𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 08:48, 12 April 2025 (UTC)
Concern regarding Draft:Other uses ↗
25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, LOLCAFAN. This is a bot-delivered message letting you know that Draft:Other uses ↗, a page you created, has not been edited in at least five months. Drafts that have not been edited for six months may be deleted ↗, so if you wish to retain the page, please edit it ↗ again or request ↗ that it be moved to your userspace.
If the page has already been deleted, you can request it be undeleted ↗ so you can continue working on it.

Your draft article, Draft:Other uses ↗
48px|left|alt=|link= ↗
Hello, LOLCAFAN. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation ↗ submission or draft ↗ page you started, "Other uses ↗".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion ↗. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. <!-- Template:Db-draft-deleted --><!-- Template:Db-csd-deleted-custom --> <span style="font-family:Papyrus; color:#800080;">'''''L'''''iz</span> <sup style="font-family: Times New Roman; color: #006400;">'''''Read!''''' ↗ '''''Talk!'''''</sup> 19:45, 29 September 2025 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your edits appear to be disruptive ↗ and have been or will be reverted ↗.

Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution ↗ page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards ↗.

A tag has been placed on :…́ ↗, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox ↗ for any other experiments you would like to do.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may '''contest the nomination''' by visiting the page ↗ and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines ↗. <!-- Template:Db-nonsense-notice --><!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> CabinetCavers (talk) 12:57, 4 December 2025 (UTC)

Edit summaries
25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello! I noticed you {{usertalk other|often ↗|often}} edit without using an edit summary ↗. Please do your best to {{strong|always fill in the summary field}}. An edit summary is meant to explain what an edit changes and/or why, for reference by other editors as well as yourself in the future.
Even something short is better than nothing, and summaries are particularly important for potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the box "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" in your preferences ↗. <!-- based on Template:Uw-editsummary2 -->
I bring this up because you've made a number of questionable changes recently, which I'm sure were in good faith ↗, but since you didn't give any explanation, I went ahead and reverted them without explanation. It feels like a bit of a waste of time to revert changes that presumably you spent time considering, so please in the future, explain your reasoning.
Thanks. — W.andrea (talk) 15:41, 13 December 2025 (UTC)
25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Again today you made a questionable edit without explanation ↗. {{strong|Please use edit summaries.}} Thank you.
— W.andrea (talk) 20:14, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
:Allow me to expand on the above. Not only is it policy that you write an edit summary (to make life easier on the dozens to hundreds of editors who will be reviewing your changes), adding an edit explanation reduces the odds that one of the reviewers will decide your edit is worthless. Reviewers are human, and if you make their task more difficult, one of them may throw their hands up in the air and basically say "this isn't worth our time", and revert your edit. <b style="color:green">Tarl N.</b> (<span style="color:teal">discuss</span>) 06:46, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
:I would also add this edit ↗ and this edit ↗ to the list of questionable edits without an edit summary.
:The first edit is questionable since AV2 isn't even frozen yet so there is no AV3 and googling AV3 also yields nothing.
:The second edit is questionable since the sentence clearly talks about "interframe video formats" and the previous link also correctly points to the H.264 article but the user changed that link to link to the MP4 container format instead, which makes little sense. Speedy deletion ↗ nomination of :Jot (letter) ↗
48px|left|alt=|link= ↗
A tag has been placed on :Jot (letter) ↗ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because it is a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, I'm Kepler-1229b. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, :Tani (letter) ↗, but you didn't provide a reliable source ↗. Without even an edit summary to explain why you considered it appropriate. Are actually trying to get blocked?
25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello. Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia ↗. I noticed that one or more recent edits you made did not have an edit summary ↗. Collaboration among editors is fundamental to Wikipedia, and every edit should be explained by a clear edit summary ↗, or by discussion on the talk page ↗. Please use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit or to describe what it changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief ↗.
The edit summary field looks like this:
{{Edit summary field/OOUI}}
or in the visual editor:
{{Edit summary field/VisualEditor}}
{{strong|Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make.}} When logged in to your Wikipedia account ↗, you can give yourself a reminder by setting {{myprefs|3|check={{int:tog-forceeditsummary}}}}, and then click the "{{int:saveprefs}}" button.

:For what it's worth, this user has never edited their talk page. They don't seem to be aware of WP:COLLAB ↗. This may be a case of WP:THEYCANTHEARYOU ↗. ::IMO this user is WP:NOTHERE ↗. :::Well, I notice this ↗ most recent edit they made to their user page, which suggests they are at least aware of objections, possibly trying to divert more definitive action. <b style="color:green">Tarl N.</b> (<span style="color:teal">discuss</span>) 19:47, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
::::Hopefully a timeout will create an opportunity for reflection on what advice they have been given, take it mentally on board, then come back more prepared to collaborate.
