Copyright problems

left|25px|alt=|link= ↗Hello. I am Diannaa and I am a Wikipedia administrator. I have checked your edits, and had to remove most of them, because you copied material directly from your sources. That's not okay, because prose you find online is almost always copyright, and cannot be copied here; it's against the copyright policy ↗ of this website to do so. All your additions must be written in your own words. There's more information about copyrights and how it applies to Wikipedia at Wikipedia:FAQ/Copyright ↗. The Wikipedia copyright policy and its application are complex matters, and you should not edit any more until you have taken the time to read and understand our copyright policy ↗. — Diannaa&nbsp;<span style="color:red">🍁</span>&nbsp;(talk) 00:09, 16 December 2018 (UTC)

Recent Neanderthal edit

Please pare down the references you have attached to this edit. One citation is necessary for WP:V. Two can be helpful if there are some important details that the first is missing, but six is WP:OVERKILL ↗ - if six citations are given for a single sentence, it makes one wonder why so many citations are necessary, suggesting either that it is WP:OR ↗ cobbled together from bits and pieces but reaching conclusions no single source reaches, or that it is somehow weak, necessitating six citations to be believed. Since you have already read the references, please identify which of them, one or two, make the point and remove the rest. Agricolae (talk) 19:01, 16 September 2019 (UTC)

Wikipedia Wars and the Israel-Palestine conflict...please fill out my survey?

Hello :)
I am writing my MA dissertation on Wikipedia Wars and the Israel-Palestine conflict, and I noticed that you have contributed to those pages. My dissertation will look at the process of collaborative knowledge production on the Israel-Palestine conflict, and the effect it has on bias in the articles. This will involve understanding the profiles and motivations of editors, contention/controversy and dispute resolution in the talk pages, and bias in the final article.

For more information, you can check out my meta-wiki research page ↗ or my user page ↗, where I will be posting my findings when I am done.

I would greatly appreciate if you could take 5 minutes to fill out this quick survey ↗ ''before 8 August 2021.''

Participation in this survey is entirely voluntary and anonymous. There are no foreseeable risks nor benefits to you associated with this project.

Thanks so much,

Sarah Sanbar

Faculty of Archaeology of the University of Warsaw ↗ moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Faculty of Archaeology of the University of Warsaw ↗, is not suitable as written to remain published. Aside from not having enoughin-depth sourcing to show it meets WP:GNG ↗, it appears there is a WP:UPE ↗ or WP:COI ↗ conflict. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability ↗ is of central importance ↗ on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace ↗ (with a prefix of "<code>Draft:</code>" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline ↗ and thus is ready for mainspace, and have addressed the UPE/COI issue, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. As per WP policy, please do not move into mainspace yourself. Thank you for help to page of ''Cooyoo ↗''

Thank you to adding information about unpublished ''Cooyoo'' specimen to the page! The fact that this news is about '''paleontology''' but it features an "archaeologist" and is tagged with "archaeology" is disturbing. Due to that serious mistake we couldn't easily find this news article when looking for paleontological news. Thanks to an archaeology lover like you who took an interest in that news and added it to the article, I was able to learn more about new specimen of that fish. I hope that confusion between archeology and paleontology like that will be no more! Ta-tea-two-te-to (talk) 16:26, 7 May 2023 (UTC)

:I checked the website of Kronosaurus Korner museum and found that the specimen had actually been found in 2011.https://www.kronosauruskorner.com.au/museum/collections/fish ↗ You just described it on pages as if it was discovered in 2023 according to the news article, but that was wrong. Despite this time lag between news and actual discoveries, it makes me uneasy that most of the references on the "2023 in archaeology ↗" page are just news articles. St Hilarion of Gaza vs. St Hilarion of of Suzdal and Yuriev

Hi Lamminiaz, thanks for your interest in adding to the Hilarion (of Gaza) article, but according to the source you added it is not the remains of St Hilarion of Gaza from the 5th century but of St Hilarion of Suzdal from the 17th century. I have therefore reverted your addition, but encourage you to write the article for Hilarion of Suzdal - that one does not seem to have been written yet ;-)
Cheers, PontiffSulivahn (talk) 21:23, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
