The World Destubathon ↗
You are invited to participate in The World Destubathon. It's currently planned for June 16-July 13, partly due to me having hayfever during that period and not wanting to run it throughout July or August in the hotter summer and will be run then unless multiple editors object. There is currently $3338 going into it, with $500 the top prize. As 250 countries and entities is too much to patrol, entries will be by user, but there is $500 going into prizes for editors covering the most countries. Sign up if interested! ♦ <span style="font-variant:small-caps;color:#aba67e">''Dr. Blofeld''</span>
Addition of {{tl|unreferenced}} tags
@Lollipoplollipoplollipop, While it's good to add {{tl|unreferenced}} tags in general, and good to have articles properly tagged, in my view, doing so in the middle of a drive could be quite disheartening to people trying to deal with the backlog. Perhaps we could hold of with the mass-adition of unref tags till the end of the month so as not to harm morale/momentum. <span style="font-family:Times New Roman;">Cakelot1</span> ☞️ <span style="font-family:Times New Roman;">''talk''</span> 16:07, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
:Alright, fair enough <span style="font-family:monospace;color:#006400 !important;font-weight:bold;">//Lollipoplollipoplollipop::talk</span> 16:08, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
::Yes ''User:Lollipoplollipoplollipop|Lollipoplollipoplollipop'' - I concur with Cakelot1 concerning the large number of "Unreferenced" articles being added into the backlog for April 2026 category. Looking back at :Category:Articles lacking sources ↗, most months with a large number backlog are generally within the 1,000 to 2,000 range. Seeing April 2026 ↗ with over 7,700 articles, and still increasing makes me wonder why so many. Can I suggest to add at least one citation for those articles? Some topics are easy to find sources, such as School, College and University, as well as numerous Sports articles. Regards, JoeNMLC (talk) 20:30, 24 April 2026 (UTC)
:::@JoeNMLC, my above comments were solely about holding off during WP:MAR26 ↗. Since the drive is over, I no longer have any issue with people adding {{tl|unref}}s, and in fact have been doing so my self. In fact, I'd argue properly going through the "probably unref" lists and taging those that are actually unrefed and those that are false positives ↗, thus giving us an idea of the actual size of the problem. <span style="font-family:Times New Roman;">Cakelot1</span> ☞️ <span style="font-family:Times New Roman;">''talk''</span> 20:45, 24 April 2026 (UTC)
:::Yea as Cake implied, I'm going through the probably unreferenced lists ↗. My main goal is to fix this graph ↗ so that there is no greeny-blue section, eliminating that uncertainty.
:::I'd say about 1-2% of the articles I go through get immediately "fixed", either by adding Template:Set index article ↗ or by fixing a malformed references section. Another 10% ish are false positives that are currently still counted. For example, everything in User:ARandomName123/unref7 (391 articles out of 4400) is a false positive, but I'm guessing {{ping|ARandomName123}} doesn't want to update the bot to eliminate those because that might also eliminate false negatives. So I am slowly working down the overall number, even if the process looks counter intuitive. <span style="font-family:monospace;color:#006400 !important;font-weight:bold;">//Lollipoplollipoplollipop::talk</span> 08:59, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
::::Thanks ''User:Lollipoplollipoplollipop|Lollipoplollipoplollipop'' for explaining above progress details. I'm glad that it is people doing the work vs. a "bot-run-amuck". While my main focus is the older unref. articles, it is interesting to see the April-2026 mix of Incoming articles. Cheers, JoeNMLC (talk) 13:47, 25 April 2026 (UTC)

Suches River tags
Hi there, I believe that on 10th April this year you added the {{tl|no footnotes}} and {{tl|one source}} tags to the Suches River ↗ article. I had a look, and have done some research on the river. I have since added two additional references and used inline citations to 'fix' those two tags.
I was a tad unsure whether it was appropriate to remove those tags though, as it now only has two (appropriate) references. I'm not too sure about the third, unlinked one. I'd be grateful if you could check over my new editions and let me know whether I have done the right thing here//done enough to have the tags removed (as I quite boldly have already done...!) Thanks, Kranken145 (talk) 20:56, 18 April 2026 (UTC)
:Yep, you did it correctly, nice one. Only thing I like to do is split the old reference into a Further reading ↗ section if its no longer being used in a citation since it looks nicer. <span style="font-family:monospace;color:#006400 !important;font-weight:bold;">//Lollipoplollipoplollipop::talk</span> 08:13, 19 April 2026 (UTC)

Problem with lists of top 25 singles in Australia
Hi Lollipoplollipoplollipop. I was doing some work on the backlog of unreferenced articles and started on "List of top 25 singles in 2005 in Australia", which I notice you had added to the unreferenced list, along with other unreferenced Top 25 articles for other years. I've added a citation for the 2005 list, namely the ARIA 100 Singles list on their website, which gives the names and order of the Top 25 singles. But what that list doesn't give - or at least I can't find it - is how long singles stayed at the top of the chart, or which were longest in the chart for the year. However, previous WP users/editors have used this same ARIA reference as a citation for the paras on which singles stayed the longest at #1 etc. See 2010 0r 2012 articles for example. I haven't gone through all the years to see how often this is the case, but it does seem to be a recurring problem, i.e. there are probably more such articles out there with the same citation problem. I was wondering if you know about this, or have any thoughts on what should be done about this. I'm a relative newcomer, so still learning the ropes. Hence my sending you this message, which I hope you don't mind. All the best. Dropbear2 (talk) 03:28, 22 June 2026 (UTC)
:I agree, that doesn't sound good. I would ask at the related WikiProject pages if anyone has any ideas for better sources for these pages, maybe start a discussion here ↗ and here ↗. <span style="font-family:monospace;color:#006400 !important;font-weight:bold;">//Lollipoplollipoplollipop::talk</span> 15:41, 22 June 2026 (UTC)
