140px|left ↗ Dear Macbookair3140,<br />I just wanted to wish you and your family a happy new year, however you're celebrating it. Whether 2008 was a good year for you, or if it wasn't the greatest year, hopefully 2009 will be better. Cheers, and happy editing in 2009 :-),

Checking talk pages
Before you add a tag to an article (such as the "very long" tag to Line of succession to the British throne ↗), it's usually best to look at the talk page. In this particular case, this issue has been discussed at enormous length already. Everybody who uses the page knows that it's long. In this case, a tag is not useful. Noel S McFerran (talk) 20:05, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
Repost of :User:Renamed user 27 ↗
left ↗Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on :User:Renamed user 27 ↗, by {{#ifeq:{{{nom}}}|1|{{{nominator}}} (talk '''·''' contribs ↗),}} another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted ↗ from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because :User:Renamed user 27 ↗ was previously deleted as a result of an articles for deletion ↗ (or another XfD ↗)<br><br>To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting :User:Renamed user 27 ↗, please affix the template <nowiki>{{hangon}}</nowiki> to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD ↗. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that '''this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. To see the user who deleted the page, click user 27}} here ↗''' CSDWarnBot (talk) 06:10, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
Careful
Don't give admins warning messages for having tried to clean up pagemove vandalism.
Aside from that, keep up the good work. DS (talk) 02:49, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Your request for rollback
right|130px ↗
Hi {{PAGENAME}}. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have <span class="plainlinks">enabled ↗</span> rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle ↗.
- Rollback should be used to revert ''clear'' cases of ''vandalism'' ↗ ''only'', and not good faith edits ↗.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war ↗.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
Edit count
'''Ridiculous''' Yeah, I have a nonsensically high edit count. Special:Preferences ↗ says that I have 458,634 (right now), but I know that I have about 53,000 deleted edits as well... If you need to review my edits about something or don't understand what I did, please let me know. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C ↗☺M ↗☯ 15:16, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
:'''Oh!''' You tacitly ''did'' ask me a question about my edits: I have mostly done maintenance lately and in the past year, that involved categorization of album articles for about six months and tagging talk pages (from all talk namespaces) for the past six months or so. I have made substantial edit to the following articles lately:
::My Father Will Guide Me Up a Rope to the Sky ↗
::Live Show ↗
::Magnapop ↗
::List of The Smashing Pumpkins band members ↗
::George Orwell bibliography ↗
::Small Craft On a Milk Sea ↗
:If you want to see what I've done in the article namespace, you can check my userpage: I have some {{tl|topicon}}-style stars that lead to my most substantial article edits and I have a table about halfway down of article that I have created or expanded. Anyway, if you have more questions about my editing--explicit or implicit--please let me know. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C ↗☺M ↗☯ 15:20, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
::'''Weldon Henson''' I am ''worst'' about writing prose--especially biographical prose--so I'm really not sure if I can be of assistance in editing this article. Allmusic doesn't have a biography for him ↗, I don't immediately see anything useful from Google ↗, and Google Books ↗ has nothing. Simply put, he may not meet notability ↗ requirements. Do you have any good sources who have written about this guy? How did you find out about him? If you want help, you can try posting to the talk pages of related WIkiProjects, but that might not be fruitful for you. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C ↗☺M ↗☯ 15:25, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Barbie
Hello, regarding your question at Talk:Barbie ↗, there's really no need to bring up such an old issue (over two years old) to discussion (see WP:DENY ↗ and WP:BEANS ↗.) If you think protection is necessary, it's better if you report it directly to WP:RFPP ↗. Regards, Siawase (talk) 20:44, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

25px|alt=|link= ↗ Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from :Wikipedia:Usernames for administrator attention ↗. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary ↗ and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page ↗. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the <span class="plainlinks">page history ↗</span>. Take a look at the welcome page ↗ to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox ↗. Reviewer
right|130px ↗
Hello. Your account has been granted the "{{mono|reviewer}}" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits ↗ on certain flagged pages. Pending changes ↗, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial ↗ which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community ↗, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed ↗ to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to only a small number of articles ↗, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages ↗.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing ↗. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't grant you status nor change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here ↗, and the general policy for the trial can be found here ↗.
If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.<!-- Template:Reviewer granted --> Acalamari 18:37, 28 March 2011 (UTC)

Hi, and welcome to WikiProject Articles for creation ↗! We are a group of editors who work together on the Articles for creation ↗ and Images for upload ↗ pages.
A few tips that you might find helpful:
- Please take time to fully read the reviewers' instructions ↗ before reviewing submissions.
- The project's discussion board ↗ is the best place to ask for help or advice. You might like to watchlist ↗ this page, and you are encouraged to take part in any discussion that comes up.
- Article submissions that need reviewing can be found in :Category:Pending AfC submissions ↗ and there is also a useful list ↗ which is maintained by a bot ↗.
- You might wish to add {{tl|AFC status}} to your userpage, which will alert you to the number of open submissions. There is also a project userbox ↗. If you haven't done so already, please consider adding your name to the list of participants ↗.
- Several of our members monitor the {{IRC|wikipedia-en-help}} IRC channel ↗, and you are welcome to join in.

ArbCom elections are now open! ↗
Hi,<br>
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election ↗. The Arbitration Committee ↗ is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process ↗. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans ↗, topic bans ↗, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy ↗ describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements ↗ and submit your choices on the voting page ↗. MacBook Air photo nominated for deletion (:Template:User MacBook Air ↗)
I nominated the photo for deletion at Commons, because I believe that showing the user interface is potentially a copyright violation or at least a non-free use limitation that Commons does not accept. You might want to chime on ↗ or look for an alternative photo here: :commons:Category:MacBook Air ↗.–Totie (talk) 22:35, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
New deal for page patrollers
Hi {{BASEPAGENAME}},
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 ↗ is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group '''New Page Reviewer''' has been created.
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most ''current'' experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.
Find out more about this exiting new user right now at '''''New Page Reviewers''''' ↗ and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

Change username
Hi Macbookair3140, I saw your bio and I'd like to inform you that it is possible to change your username. You can change it at Special:GlobalRenameRequest ↗. Techguy7370 (talk) 00:37, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
:{{Reply to|Techguy7370}} Thank you so much, I was kind of in a hurry writing that statement. I didn't know what to put there.
:I meant to say my past activity from 10 to 15 years ago was done when I wasn't mature. I understand the wiki is permanent. I returned a few months ago, some computing-related articles I found needed to be fixed up a little bit. I'm kind of happy to be back though.
:I'll think of something to put there in a bit, I avoid editing userspace too much though. It's nice that there is a mechanism to change username by request, though. Macbookair3140 (talk - they/them) 00:36, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
Speedy deletion ↗ nomination of :Loopback.jpg ↗
48px|left|alt=|link= ↗
{{Quote box|quote=<p>If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article ↗.</p><p>You may want to consider using the Article Wizard ↗ to help you create articles.</p>|width=20%|align=right}}
A tag has been placed on :Loopback.jpg ↗, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox ↗ for any other experiments you would like to do.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may '''contest the nomination''' by visiting the page ↗ and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines ↗. <!-- Template:Db-nonsense-notice --><!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> Thyj (talk) 16:45, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
