Linking
When you add links to other wikipedia pages, you do not need the whole URL. Simply put the title of the page you are linking to enclosed in double square brackets. For example, to link to the article Merton Park, type <nowiki>Merton Park ↗</nowiki> which would appear as Merton Park ↗. D<small>aniel</small> (☎ ↗) 11:47, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

Proposed deletion
I've added the "{{tl|prod}}" template to the article Robert Vial ↗, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion ↗ process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not ↗ and Wikipedia:Notability ↗). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:Robert Vial ↗. If you remove the {{tl|dated prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion ↗, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. olivier 10:13, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
Front Envaliran de Libération
A {{prod ↗}} template has been added to the article Front Envaliran de Libération ↗, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion ↗ process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion ↗, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not ↗" and Wikipedia's deletion policy ↗). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the <code><nowiki>{{dated prod}}</nowiki></code> notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page ↗. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process ↗, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria ↗ or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion ↗, where it may be deleted if consensus ↗ to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{tl|db-author}}. Fram 09:47, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
Nice edit at Politics of Tokelau ↗
I enjoyed your edits today - especially your prose style and evident knowledge. I see you added the same (or very similar) paragraph to Tokelauan self-determination referendum, 2007 ↗, Politics of Tokelau ↗ and Tokelau ↗. I think this is most appropriate in the politics article, and have removed it from the other two, since it is not normally desirable to repeat the same content in multiple articles. I think the paragraph is well written, and balanced, but as it does not contain citations for the views expressed within it I have tagged it as possible original research ↗. If you could add citations, the {{tl|or}} tag can be removed.-<span style="font-family:cursive; color:#808080;">gadfium</span> 19:59, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
:Thank you for adding adequate sources, Faroukfarouk. I have taken the liberty of converting them to citeweb format and then removing the original research tag. Another editor has added the "{{tl|prod}}" template to the article Camille Blanc ↗, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion ↗ process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not ↗ and Wikipedia:Notability ↗). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page ↗. Adeang
Hello. First of all, I'd like to thank you for your continuous contributions to the article on David Adeang ↗. We seem to be the two editors who are keeping it up to date with current events. However, I have ''strong'' concerns about your latest edits, which seem not to be in accordance with Wikipedia's NPOV ↗ rule. I've stated my concerns here ↗, and I'd appreciate it if you could take a look. Thanks, and I look forward to future collaborative editing with you. Aridd (talk) 08:54, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
Monaco stubs
Hi there, I noticed that you've been adding the <nowiki>{{Monaco stub}}</nowiki> to several articles in the last little while. I agree with quite a few of them, but Prince's Palace of Monaco ↗ gave me pause. This is a featured article ↗ that was on Wikipedia's main page just a few weeks ago, and it's definitely not a stub. I'm inclined to think that AS Monaco FC ↗ isn't a stub either. Do you think you could review your work, and perhaps Wikipedia:STUB ↗ to get a sense of when a stub tag might be most appropriate? I've already removed the tag from Prince's Palace, but will leave you reconsider the others. Thanks. Risker (talk) 04:00, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Sectioning
Could you avoid splitting articles into small fragments with only one sentence or paragraph per section? In some cases, this sectioning is useful; for example, with this edit ↗ you added sections of appropriate length (although you also tagged it as a stub, and it's far beyond stub length). At other articles, though, I've seen you create break articles that have only two or three sentences into sections, as well as breaking existing sections into even smaller sections devoted to only a single fact. Everyking (talk) 18:31, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
30px ↗ Hello Faroukfarouk! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot ↗ alerting you that '''6''' of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons ↗. The biographies of living persons ↗ policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability ↗, all biographies should be based on reliable sources ↗. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current ''{{PAGESINCATEGORY:All_unreferenced_BLPs}} ↗'' article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{tl|unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

You are now a Reviewer
right|130px ↗
Hello. Your account has been granted the "{{mono|reviewer}}" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits ↗ on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial ↗ scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed ↗ to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles ↗, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages ↗.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism ↗ or BLP violations ↗, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process ↗). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here ↗.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. <!-- Template:Reviewer-notice --> Courcelles (talk) 01:42, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

:I reckon I would comment also that the article's title revolves around two words, 'Tuvalu' and 'House'. Yes, indeed, the 'House' aspect refers to a suburban residence. The 'Tuvalu' aspect refers to the fact that it represents an independent, sovereign state. Some may argue that some independent, sovereign states are more 'notable' that others; and in theory one can respect this view. From a legal and historical point of view, however, the independent, sovereign status of Tuvalu as a King's Realm of the Commonwealth is a matter of record. (This comment is by way of thinking through the 'notablilty' criteria.) MarcosFenn (talk) 21:11, 21 June 2024 (UTC)

:Thank-you for the opportunity to comment; the article was started many years ago. As a background to my interest, as a former resident of Uruguay I have for decades been much aware of the cultural distinctives between what is termed 'el interior' - the interior - and the capital Montevideo. The north of Uruguay is the most geographically remote part of the country from Montevideo. Added to this is the fact that for decades of the country's post-independence existence there was an intermittent civil war between Blancos and Colorados; the latter being largely urban-based liberals and the former being identified with agrarian and rural and thus conservative and even less secular thinking. Geographically, northern Uruguay has particular links with Argentina and Brazil; indeed, the borders of the three countries meet near Bella Unio'n; and the city of Rivera is contiguous with Santana do Livramento. Thus the latent geographical and historical distinctness of northern Uruguay must have seemed (to me, at the time) a reason to express a particular categorization. It is hard even today to try to claim that Montevideo and its life and thinking equals Uruguay. In addition, the border dispute between Uruguay and Brazil around the arroyo Invernada dove-tails into perceptions of Uruguayan history; the Battle of Masoller in 1904, which ostensibly ended the series of intermittent civil wars, was followed by the death of Blanco leader Aparicio Saravia: according to Brazilians, he died in Brazil; but according to Uruguayans he died in Uruguay; yet the fact that the Colorado forces could not pursue Saravia over the arroyo Invernada meant that Blancos could still regard themselves as being in Uruguay but in the knowledge that Colorados would not pursue. There is a related aura of mystery also about the death of Villanueva Saravia, departmental leader in Cerro Largo in 1998, which informs a distinct northern Uruguayan historiography. Another Blanco leader, Gumercindo Saravia, was known as an Uruguayan nationalist in Uruguay but a Riograndese regionalist in Brazil: a further intriguing historical fact which is informed by norther Uruguay's distinctness. MarcosFenn (talk) 07:52, 7 March 2026 (UTC)
::By way of addition, to the question, Why was writer Jesús Moraes translated into Portuguese, an answer derived from northern Uruguayan geography is obvious: his home town of Bella Unión is right on the border with Brazil. Circe Maia's Caraguatá poems are rooted in a deeply rural northern Uruguayan environment. To another question: Why was the assassination of former Brazilian President Joao Goulart — a friend of JFK (also assassinated, indeed) — so significant in geographical terms? the answer is because he lived on the Brazilian border with Uruguay. To another question, Why was the Presidency of Brazilian military leader Geisel so significant to Uurguay? the answer is that he had previously been Brazilian military attaché to Uruguay. Northern Uruguay can thus be demonstrated to command perceptions of complexity and even mystery. MarcosFenn (talk) 08:20, 7 March 2026 (UTC)
