Maintenance tags
Would you be so kind to tag specific sections or sentences that are dubious in some way? before removing the tag I read the entire article and made sure that I didn’t see anything suspicious. Of course you might know more about the topic than I do and you might find some things that warrant tagging. Jehochman Talk
Layzell Cricket
Re: Your reverts of my edits to this article. I did not notice that Campbell Cricket was a redirect, and I was trying to emphasise that the Layzell Cricket, in my view, is just one 'type name' given to a sole homebuilt aircraft by a perhaps ego-driven individual who wanted his name to be associated with a long-established type, and no 'production' ever took place. Perhaps the policy of renaming articles and redirects should be refined to exclude what are effectively single prototypes by homebuilders. I recommend that you might kindly re-instate a suitable reference to details on the G-INFO website. Regards, PeterWD (talk) 09:33, 24 March 2026 (UTC)
: The trouble with G-INFO is (a) as a dynamic source engine it isn't easily sensibly citable and (b) it only mentions aircraft that have been registered in the UK. As a kit-built aircraft, it is possible that examples of the Cricket Mk6/Layzell Cricket/Layzell AV-18 may have been built and flown outside the UK. Layzell Gyroplanes Ltd were reported by ''Jane's All the World's Aircraft 2008–2009'' (p. 592) as selling kits, with the prototype (''G-CBWN'') built in 2003 and granted a Permit to Fly on 7 March 2005, and a second example under construction in 20074 (so it it doesn't seem to just a one-man ego trip). There is also (per Jane's) a Cricket Mk 4, ca. 1996, with plans sold by British Gyroplanes of Wallingford (unclear how many, if any, were completed), and a single Mk 5 (2000), together with ~20 Everett Gyroplanes (described as a "derivative design in 2008 Jane's and "designed with knowledge gained from the Benson and Campbell Cricket single-seat light autogyros" in the 1989 Jane's) and the original Cricket (1975 Jane's says 47 had been built by then). There definitely seems to be room to considerably expand the article but it needs some thought as to the scope of the article (i.e does it include the Everett?, & what about all the "Replica Campbell Cricket"s on G-INFO - what are they?) and to the title.Nigel Ish (talk) 20:53, 24 March 2026 (UTC)
::Thanks for your response and continuing updates to the article. I have discovered an old copy of WDLA 2003-2004 that might be of use, some extracts follow:
::WDLA 2003/2004 English-language edition Pagefast Ltd ISSN 1368-485X
:: ----
:: (p.204) British Gyroplanes Cricket Mk 4
:: Designer Peter Lovegrove developed the Cricket in 1967. He claims that it has the best accident statistics of all gyroplanes. A kit was available for some time, but it is now only available in plan form.
:: British Gyroplanes Ltd ... Didcot
:: (image G-BVDJ)
:: ----
:: (p.205) British Gyroplanes Cricket Mk 6
:: A development of the MK4 this model has suspension on all three wheels, a shallower trim, no fairing and a smaller engine. An overhead stick version is also available.
:: British Gyroplanes Ltd ... Didcot
:: (image G-BXHU)
:: ----
:: (p.208) Montgomerie Merlin GTS
:: This new version of the single-seater sees its CoG raised in relation to the thrust line, which has improved the its handling characteristics. Construction is of bolted Dural tube, with a laminated fairing. The prototype glued skin rotor is from Flight Dynamic, and, like the engine, is not included in the kit price, giving home-builders freedom to choose.

Okay
I just wanted to show everyone what many of the airplanes on display looked like. Houtyuhn (talk) 15:02, 4 April 2026 (UTC)
Okay
I usually only add it to the "Current Complete Models" list. I basically ignore it if it's limited to partial saving/front panel/head section. Houtyuhn (talk) 15:38, 4 April 2026 (UTC)
Eastern Orbat
Hey Nigel, any reason for the unreliable source tags on the Mirage 5 article? I want to make sure the sources are good, and thus wanted your reasoning. Rajbarage (talk) 17:08, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
: Because Eastern Order of Battle does not meet the requirements of WP:RS ↗ - there is no evidence who publishes it, and what level of editorial control there is.Nigel Ish (talk) 17:25, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
::Fair, I'll send them an email. I won't use them in the meantime and add more sources that may say the same thing. Rajbarage (talk) 17:35, 30 April 2026 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to :German submarine U-526 ↗ when you modified the page, you introduced {{cl|Convert errors|conversion errors}}. The {{tl|convert}} template can be complex and I encourage you to read its documentation ↗ but it is also helpful to use the preview ↗ button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a '''Show preview''' button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it and when {{cl|Convert errors|conversion errors}} are present they will show up in red. It is '''strongly recommended''' that you always use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk ↗ for assistance.
