Basically any source that is out there. Whether reliable or not. Also, the More About Thomas the Tank Engine Railway Series books was published on 22 September 1986 and I don't think it would at all make sense if the book was published after the adaptations because the base source hadn't been published yet NintendoTTTEfan2005 (talk) 14:48, 22 September 2022 (UTC)

When editing, please check any source that already exists in the article to see if it agrees with any change you make. In the case of your recent changes to Aries (astrology) ↗ and Scorpio (astrology) ↗ you changed the average date the Sun enters or leaves these signs. Your changes disagree with the cited source, the Oxford online dictionary, which was later renamed Lexico. This source is now offline, but by changing the information and not the source, you are putting words in the mouths of the authors of this source that they never said. This is unacceptable. :Each Wikipedia article stands on its own, and contains citations to reliable sources ↗ to support what is in the article. Other Wikipedia articles are not considered reliable because it is written by anonymous editors with no particular credentials. The dates when the Sun enters or leaves an astrological sign is approximate, because the dates change from year to year, and because the dates can be different in various time zones. Primary source template

Regarding this edit ↗ and this edit ↗: again, the {{tlx|primary sources}} template is meant to tag articles that rely "excessively" on primary sources, not articles that just contain a few primary sources

::WP:PRIMARY ↗ is complex, but essentially it means stuff whose publisher is Apple Inc; basic rule of thumb is: if it's apple.com, or an official user manual, it's primary; otherwise, secondary. Primary doesn't mean "bad", and most editors tend not to tag with {{tlx|primary sources}} unless it's pretty dire (personally, I'd only add that tag if the article has fewer than two secondary sources, because then it's at risk of WP:AfD ↗). See for example Debian ↗, which has mostly primary sources yet is a Good article (in most part of Wikipedia, that wouldn't fly, but for computing articles it's often harmless). When there are at least two or three secondary sources, I'd instead tag with {{tlx|more sources needed}}
::And now for my personal opinion: I personally avoid tagging Apple or Computing articles, because almost no editor is working to fix them, so the tags don't serve their intended purpose or "calling attention" to anything (see this ↗) and just create an overwhelming backlog no one's interested in working on. Graduation years and combining edits

These 11 edits ↗ to the article for Trenton Catholic Academy ↗ added graduation dates and a source. Where are you getting the graduation years from, as many of the articles for the individuals themselves don't specify a year? Why not combine all of these edits, which are all basically doing the same thing -- adding a graduation year -- and reduce the number of edits that pop up in the history? Please use edit summaries

I saw that you changed Coach Kerr's height in the infobox from 6' 3' to 6' 1". Frequently when I see an edit that changes a single value with no edit summary, I'll revert it, because it's often just vandalism. However, I see that you have a long history of small edits coupled with a low reversion rate. As well, I checked the official NBA stats which confirm the height (and there's tons of "sources" out there claiming 6' 3", almost certainly echoing what wikipedia used to list).
Edit summaries are very helpful to other editors to speed up the verification process. As I'm sure you're aware, a lot of vandalism occurs here, and digit changes are one of the most common. Please try to remember to use edit summaries. Something as simple as 'verified at nba.com player stats' would have saved me some time. cheers. anastrophe, an editor he is. 04:35, 8 March 2026 (UTC)

NBA categories

Hey there. Thanks for improving basketball articles. I just wanted to let you know, NBA categories (like :Category:Milwaukee Bucks players ↗ or :Category:Undrafted NBA players ↗) are not added until a player makes his debut. Alex Antetokounmpo ↗ has been on the Bucks' roster all season, but he did not debut until last night. Use edit summaries

Per WP:SUMEXPLAIN ↗, "According to the policy on consensus, all edits should be explained (unless the reason for them is obvious)—either by clear edit summaries, or by discussion on the associated talk page. It is a good practice to provide a meaningful summary for every edit..." While many of your edits are small and I've seen a lot of them, the failure to provide edit summaries forces me to look at every single edit you make to figure out exactly what you did.{{Pb}}Providing edit summaries is an essential task expected of all editors.
