Okay, so what will you do instead? 331dot (talk) 16:32, 9 November 2024 (UTC)

:I certainly won't make those specific edits again. And to the extent that I feel that rules are being violated -- to promote specific entities or in any other way -- and I make an edit to reflect that, I will flag the rule violation that I believe is at issue and properly document the edit. I have no interest in doing anything that causes damage to the Wikipedia community and I sincerely regret that the manner in which I undertook these edits caused that effect. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2026 Maine gubernatorial election ↗, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Troy Jackson ↗. Such links are usually incorrect ↗, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ{{*}} Join us at the DPL WikiProject ↗.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 07:53, 17 November 2024 (UTC)

Thanks for the edits. A few things:

#What's the source for her being a Republican? I think that she was (she routinely addressed Republican-affiliated groups) but I've had trouble confirming it.
#Please review WP:CITEVAR ↗. I don't particularly care and may decide to transition the sourcing back to its original short footnote version on my own ... but some people do care and it can cause unnecessary drama.
#Statements like someone winning in a "landslide" because they won by 59-41 is probably inappropriate editorialization unless a source uses similar terminology.

Urve (talk) 06:29, 31 March 2026 (UTC)

:Hi there! I added in sourcing for your first point. For your second, because I effectively rewrote the article and added in sourcing with links and to primary sources (with respect to election results), I used a different citation method, and apologize for any problems with that! The goal wasn't to use a different one just for personal preference. Thanks for the clarification in your third point. PA Uploader (talk) 12:07, 31 March 2026 (UTC)
