Deletion discussion about Isaac Hager ↗
Hello, Patapsco913,
I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Isaac Hager should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Isaac_Hager ↗.
If you're new to the process, articles for deletion ↗ is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute ↗. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

East Marianna, Pennsylvania ↗
Hi, I noticed you created this article today. Is this really a separate town from Marianna, Pennsylvania ↗? Looking at the map, the addresses of the buildings in "East Marianna" all appear to be in the town of Marianna (e.g., the Marianna Community Public Library is in "East Marianna" ↗). Just because it was designated a CDP doesn't mean we should necessarily have a separate article about it (see particularly WP:GEOLAND ↗ on this). The census only releatively recently created a CDP here, and they sometimes do this for reasons of their own, that have nothing to do with there being a "new" town/city/village there. It may be more appropriate to merge this article to Marianna, Pennsylvania ↗. FOARP (talk) 14:44, 18 October 2025 (UTC)
: Hello User:FOARP. True, I occassionally see discussion over including CDPs as separate pages on wikipedia although usually those with very small populations. The US Census defines CDPS as "a statistical geography representing closely settled, unincorporated communities that are locally recognized and identified by name" so I generally default to all of them being notable. They are not towns or cities (as they are unincorporated) although they are distinct communities (see https://www.census.gov/programs-surveys/bas/information/cdp.html for a nice synopsis indicating why CDPs are created). It is also my understanding that they are created in conjunction with the county government so it is defined as a distinct community by the local authorities as well (generally via the decennial Participant Statistical Areas Program PSAP). In this case, East Marianna appears to be distinct from the incorporated town of Marianna as it is separated by a river and is in a valley while Marianna is on a plateau (see google maps https://www.google.com/maps/place/Marianna,+PA+15345/@40.0266035,-80.1208318,13.9z/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x8835a79c2cd71ead:0xdbbdefe1a839797d!8m2!3d40.0247953!4d-80.1000562!16zL20vMF9nMl8!5m1!1e4?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MTAxNC4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D ↗). It also seems to have been around for a while (see East Marianna, Washington County, Pennsylvania, February 1927 ''Penn State Digital Libraries'' ↗) I generally focus on racial and ethnic demographics of communities with several counterparts adding other census information. The plan is to automate this more for the 2030 census. At the moment, I cannot add population data since the census website is closed. I can flesh it out once the government opens.Patapsco913 (talk) 15:32, 18 October 2025 (UTC)

Free SBL PDF Book Publications
Dear Patapsco913,
Since you are on this List ↗, if you are interested, here is a catalogue of 30 books that SBL Press (Society of Biblical Literature) made Free to download in PDF on this link: https://www.sbl-site.org/sbl-press/browse-books/ancient-near-east-monographs/
One is an older Israel Finkelstein book from 2013. Other topics include ancient Israel, Judah, Egypt, etc...that you may be interested in. Their publication dates range from 2008 to 2025. <u>Sadly, almost all new academic books are very expensive today and my main interest is in Ancient Egypt.</u> But I did save the Finkelstein book on my computer. There is also a 2018 publication on the archaeology and history of 8th century ancient Judah.
- PS: If you know other Wikipedia editors or personal friends who may be interested in these free books, please feel free to send them this SBL url link to them. Best Wishes from Canada, --Leoboudv (talk) 23:58, 8 March 2026 (UTC)

Proposed deletion ↗ of :Scott Seligman ↗
left|link=|alt=Notice|48px| ↗
The article :Scott Seligman ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗ because of the following concern:
<blockquote>'''Proposed deletion: Insufficient evidence of notability. The article relies largely on affiliated sources, and the available independent sources appear to mention the subject only in connection with organizations. Several citations do not appear to verify the information presented, and the article reads more like a résumé of accomplishments than an encyclopedic biography.'''</blockquote>
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary ↗ or on the article's talk page ↗.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process ↗, but other deletion process ↗es exist. In particular, articles for deletion ↗ allows discussion to reach consensus ↗ for deletion based on established criteria ↗.
If the proposed deletion has already been carried out, you may request undeletion ↗ of the article at any time.<!-- Template:Proposed deletion notify -->
