List of countries by system of government
Hello, I noticed that recently you removed (in revision https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_countries_by_system_of_government&oldid=1347560542) "Guinea" as a 'duplicate entry', possibly confusing that country with similarly-named but different country "Guinea-Bissau". Please consider undoing that change / restoring "Guinea" to the List of countries by system of government page, thanks AliveinFrance (talk) 12:51, 13 April 2026 (UTC)
:I did not confuse Guinea and Guinea-Bissau, they were duplicate entries as both country are currently ruled by a military junta and were in that section but also in the section for the systems they had before the coup meaning both were in the list twice. <span style="background-color:#DECD87;padding:2px"><span style="color:DarkGoldenrod">'''PharaohCrab'''</span> <small>speak𓀁 works𓀨 ↗</small></span> 12:55, 13 April 2026 (UTC)
::upon further examination turned out Guinea (but not Guinea-Bissau) was not duplicated, apparently last year Guinea held a fraudulent election legitimizing the rule of Mamady Doumbouya ↗ so it is no longer technically a military junta and it was removed from that section which I did not notice. <span style="background-color:#DECD87;padding:2px"><span style="color:DarkGoldenrod">'''PharaohCrab'''</span> <small>speak𓀁 works𓀨 ↗</small></span> 13:07, 13 April 2026 (UTC)
Federal subjects of Russia ↗
Hi,
If we don't include a full transcription of the names on the map, we'll need to list them under the map, which will take more room and require readers to go back and forth.
Anyway, the full transcription has been there for a year and so is consensus by this point. — kwami (talk) 04:46, 9 May 2026 (UTC)
:I don't see how they could possibly aid in pronunciation. it certainly didn't help me and you cannot just expect readers to know what diacritics mean pronunciation wise, and even if they did you don't need a pronunciation guide no other list like this contains one. the far more likely scenario is a reader will look at the map and assume that the official names of these subdivisions may even be confused that they aren't used anywhere else. <span style="background-color:#DECD87;padding:2px"><span style="color:DarkGoldenrod !important">'''PharaohCrab'''</span> <small>speak𓀁 works𓀨 ↗</small></span> 13:39, 9 May 2026 (UTC)
::If we wanted the official names we'd write them in Cyrillic: only Cyrillic is official.
::Even native Russian speakers need stress marked for words they don't know.
::If people are confused by Russian pronunciation or transcription, they can look it up.
::Are you telling me you know how to pronounce unknown Russian words when the stress is not given, but can't figure it out when it is given? — kwami (talk) 13:48, 9 May 2026 (UTC)
:::no I'm not telling you that, I was saying I did not know how to pronounce them and diacritics did not help at all because I had no idea what they are supposed to represent. the diacritic confused me quite a bit when I first saw them which was the main reason I removed them and I cannot have been be alone in this. <span style="background-color:#DECD87;padding:2px"><span style="color:DarkGoldenrod !important">'''PharaohCrab'''</span> <small>speak𓀁 works𓀨 ↗</small></span> 14:11, 9 May 2026 (UTC)
:Hello! I saw you requested for someone to comment on your recent issue on the Federal Subjects of Russia. I'd love to help you, but this is my first time offering comment for a dispute. Let me know how i should approach this! Madotea (talk) 18:43, 27 May 2026 (UTC)
::I have no exasperating mediating a dispute and any advice I give might be biased for my side so I am not the person to be asking. <span style="background-color:#DECD87;padding:2px"><span style="color:DarkGoldenrod !important">'''PharaohCrab'''</span> <small>speak𓀁 works𓀨 ↗</small></span> 13:46, 28 May 2026 (UTC)
Ellipsis
You might want to check out MOS:ELLIPSIS ↗. I know project pages are not subject to MoS, but people tend to follow it anyway as the whole point of a MoS is effectively to settle inconsequential stylistic edit wars in advance. Nardog (talk) 21:32, 1 June 2026 (UTC)
:OK, noted. <span style="background-color:#DECD87;padding:2px"><span style="color:DarkGoldenrod !important">'''PharaohCrab'''</span> <small>speak𓀁 works𓀨 ↗</small></span> 23:03, 1 June 2026 (UTC)

I won't oppose your revert, but I will comment that the user I reverted I have suspected to be evading a block on one of their previous accounts. I have already filed a report against them at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Crimsonalfred2022 ↗. <span style="font-size:1.2em;font-family:eurofurence;background:#368ec9;color:white">Jalen Barks</span> <span style="background:#6babd6;color:black">(Woof)</span> 21:27, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
Potentially premature closure of RM discussion at Talk:2026 Zvërnec protests ↗
Hey there. uI just now told other to reject your request as "premature" or potentially "rushed" ({{dif|1358472644|diff}}). If rejected, then I would suggest that you please re-evaluate the discussion before deciding whether to reopen the discussion or stand by your closure of this: Talk:2026 Zvërnec protests#Requested move 5 June 2026 ↗. Thanks. George Ho (talk) 22:38, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
:looks like it was in fact accepted, regardless I stand by my closer given that of the 30 or so comment on the discussion only one was opposed to moving, and that user later changed there mind. <span style="background-color:#DECD87;padding:2px"><span style="color:DarkGoldenrod !important">'''PharaohCrab'''</span> <small>speak𓀁 works𓀨 ↗</small></span> 22:42, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
::I wonder whether you read a comment by Departure (link ↗) about head-counting ↗ and weighing on arguments and all. George Ho (talk) 22:54, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
::There was significant opposition, and if you read through each !vote, you'd see there were concerns brought up by myself and others that not all !votes appeared to be entirely valid. Did you just look at every vote with '''support''' in it? Many of those were actually pointing towards 2026 Albanian protests ↗ as the target for the move. In addition, your rationale here {{green| only one was opposed to moving, and that user later changed there mind}} appears inaccurate, as by my count, there were four in opposition to the move to Flamingo Revolution ↗, including two that explicitly challenged the snowball close. I'd suggest withdrawing your close. Departure– (talk) Departure– (talk) 22:58, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
:::In addition, I want to point out that the article is currently under ARBCOM CTOP sanctions for the Arab-Israeli conflicts and post-1992 American politics, and such a move without a consensus will naturally come under extra scrutiny. Departure– (talk) 23:00, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
::::I did in fact compare arguments, the argument for moving was far more convincing given that it is used by multiple reliable scores and the argument that it is not technically a revolution (at least yet) is not convincing as that fact does not change the fact that flamingo revolution is the common name. btw I did see that some users supported moving to 2026 Albanian protests but I still counted those as support for moving even if they preferred a different name. <span style="background-color:#DECD87;padding:2px"><span style="color:DarkGoldenrod !important">'''PharaohCrab'''</span> <small>speak𓀁 works𓀨 ↗</small></span> 23:21, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
:::::Counting !votes for a different name is consensus to move, but not grounds to claim a consensus on a specific title if !votes are all for different titles. Departure– (talk) 23:48, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
I have asked for a Move review ↗ of :Flamingo Revolution ↗. Because you closed the move discussion for this page, or otherwise were interested in the page, you might want to participate in the move review. <!-- This originally was from the template {{subst:MCRNote|PAGE_NAME}} ~~~~ --> George Ho (talk) 19:05, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
