Good work on the PGC Building ↗. I had actually started work on that a few weeks ago but progress was slow and didn't end up writing anything meaningful. Help Requested: Notability review

Hi @ProtoKiwi – I hope you don’t mind the message! I’m reaching out because I’ve updated the article on journalist Laurie Segall with multiple reliable, secondary sources and am requesting a notability review.

I've posted a full request on the article’s Talk page here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Laurie_Segall#Request_to_Update_Page_&_Remove_Notability_Tag

The updates include:
• Webby Awards (2018, 2025)
• Book coverage for *Special Characters* (San Francisco Chronicle, Kirkus, People)
• Appearances in Netflix and HBO documentaries (*The Social Dilemma*, *Glitch: The Rise & Fall of HQ Trivia*, *Ashley Madison: Sex, Lies & Scandal*)
• Gracie Awards and additional press
• Expanded Career, Book, and Media Appearances sections with proper citations

If you’re available to take a look or provide guidance on next steps, I’d deeply appreciate it. Thank you so much for your time and service to the community! Astro415 (talk) 04:02, 24 July 2025 (UTC)

:I did a quick search and it looks like the subject meets notability criteria, but I haven't replied on the talk page as it seems to be broken (topic missing/not signed properly). ProtoKiwi (talk) 05:04, 24 July 2025 (UTC)

Invitation to the Christchurch meetups

Hi Protokiwi,

I'm writing because I've seen you're active on Christchurch-related articles, but you haven't been to a local Wikipedians meeting. I'm just letting you know that there is an Ōtautahi Christchurch Wiki Meetup tomorrow (Sunday 24th) at Scoundrel, 375 St Asaph Street, from 10:00 to midday—check out our new banner:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Event:Meetup/Christchurch/45

David and I have scheduled monthly meetups through to October, mostly on Sundays, some on Saturdays. We're happy to take suggestions for different dates and venues as well. There will also be some community editing events and possibly a weekend retreat planned for later in the year.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/Christchurch

We'd like to make the meetups a mixture of news and reports, and social editing. They should be a chance for people to share what they're working on, get or give help, and get some wiki work done together. Hope to see you at one!
