Hi Rambley,

You can call me Ignatius this username is just what i usually use in Internet when i try to be anonymous.
As you are assigned as my mentor i would like to greet you.

I'm from Indonesia and a game journalist, in Indonesia we have proud growing gaming industry. And i'm thinking not all of our games and studio have their own pages. '''Backlog update'''

At the time of this message, there are 15,282 articles and 32,951 redirects awaiting review.

After the January–February drive the article backlog was reduced to 15,179 articles and the redirect backlog to 19,053 respectively. Great job! However, both queues are growing rapidly and any additional reviews are highly appreciated.

'''2024 and 2025 NPP Awards'''

74px|left ↗{{no ping|JTtheOG}} was selected as the NPP reviewer of the year for both 2024 and 2025, for reviewing the most articles amongst all reviewers.
{{no ping|Hey man im josh}} and {{no ping|MPGuy2824}} won the Redirect Ninja Master Award for 2024 and 2025 respectively, for reviewing the most redirects.

Overall in 2024, one Platinum, two Gold, eight Silver, 12 Bronze and 45 Iron Barnstars were awarded. Additionally, 66 reviewers got the NPP barnstar for doing more than 100 reviews through the year. In 2025, one Platinum, ten Silver, 13 Bronze and 38 Iron Barnstars were awarded. Additionally, 38 reviewers got the NPP barnstar for doing more than 100 reviews through the year.

{{no ping|BoyTheKingCanDance}}, {{no ping|Rosiestep}}, {{no ping|SunDawn}}, and {{no ping|Vanderwaalforces}} were inducted into the NPP Hall of Fame ↗ for having two separate years of 2,000+ article reviews.

'''January–February backlog drive'''

The experimental two-month long backlog drive concluded with 183 reviewers patrolling over 27,761 articles and 35,309 redirects, earning over 36,836 points. Congratulations to {{no ping|JTtheOG}}, who achieved first place with 6,484.6 points in this drive.

'''May backlog drive'''

An article-only backlog drive is currently underway. We are hoping to make a big dent in the backlog. You can read more about it or join at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Backlog drives/May 2026 ↗.

'''PageTriage'''

An attempt was made to get the New Pages Feed ↗ to sort by date marked as reviewed instead of date created. However we had to revert it due to bugs. We may try again in the future. You can subscribe to the Phabricator ticket ↗ if you're interested in following along.

Question from Rivka onWiki (11:45, 18 May 2026)

I'm reading about medical interpretation and I see that there is a mix between medical translation (docs) and interpretation (human). What's the best way to edit? --Rivka onWiki (talk) 11:45, 18 May 2026 (UTC)

Question from Glaubensboot (12:31, 18 May 2026)

hello Rambley!
i had opened my account sometime ago but then never got the time to edit anything.
today i made my first edit and i am quite delighted.
at the same time, it took up almost 40 minutes to just cleanup one page as i had to do some external reseach as well - is this normal?

also, i would appreciate if you could give me any feedback on the edits i just made. --Glaubensboot (talk) 12:31, 18 May 2026 (UTC)

:Yes, this is normal. It takes a significant amount of time to read through a source, re-write it in your own words and clean up the prose further. I took a look at your edit and while it's okay, you have sometimes removed sources or removed "citation needed" notices without providing a valid source; content removals should always be backed up in the edit summary or a talk page message if it's a significant amount of removals, and citation needed notices should only be removed once a valid reliable source is provided. <span style="font-family:monospace"><span style="color:#751f2a">Rambley</span></span>&#91;<i style="color:#751f2a">who?</i>&#93; 12:39, 18 May 2026 (UTC)

Question from Flamingducky (04:06, 12 June 2026)

:''Note: Flamingducky's mentor ZI Jony is away.''
Hey Rambley, I’ve got a question about research. Recent tone edits I’ve done have required contained entertaining stories or claims of ability that have required evidence. A 1954 jaguar D-type testing for Le Mans in an unpainted chasis and an italian volleyball player being hailed as one of the best to ever play, respectively. I was looking for news scans or stories to cite and had a bear of a time doing so. How do you find old news stories, and how would you have changed the edits I made? --Flamingducky (talk) 04:06, 12 June 2026 (UTC)

:I use both newspapers.com and archive.org for finding archives of old newspapers, magazines, what have you. The Internet Archive is already free and if you get to extended confirmed status on here you'll be given free access to newspapers.com through the Wikipedia Library ↗.
:Looking at your edits, I've seen you've cited a blog a couple times, which should be treated with caution (see WP:SPS ↗). You've also cited YouTube links in a couple cases too; while this would be fine if they were videos from, say, a reputable news institution, however this doesn't seem like the case. The prose and the link cited in the latter part of this edit ↗ border a little on WP:OR ↗ for me. Hope all this helps. <span style="font-family:monospace"><span style="color:#751f2a">Rambley</span></span>&#91;<i style="color:#751f2a">who?</i>&#93; 09:13, 12 June 2026 (UTC)

Question from Mrosati123 (10:02, 15 June 2026)

Hi, dumb question.....I started to write my article, 2 months ago, and the information that I wrote is gone. Can you direct me to where it may be?
Thanks --Mrosati123 (talk) 10:02, 15 June 2026 (UTC)

:Hi, looking at your contributions log doesn't show any activity in Article or Draft spaces. Did you hit publish on your edits when making them? <span style="font-family:monospace"><span style="color:#751f2a">Rambley</span></span>&#91;<i style="color:#751f2a">who?</i>&#93; 10:04, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
::I probably didn't hit publish because I wasn't finished and didn't want it to upload. Mrosati123 (talk) 10:07, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
:::I can't even find Article or Draft spaces anywhere, so I will likely tell my friend that he will have to write his own Wiki page...this is exhausting me already. Haha Mrosati123 (talk) 10:09, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
::::Article namespace is just where articles go when they're published, Draft namespace is where draft articles go. Make sure you hit "publish edit" when you're making changes as Wikipedia will not automatically save them if the tab is closed. <span style="font-family:monospace"><span style="color:#751f2a">Rambley</span></span>&#91;<i style="color:#751f2a">who?</i>&#93; 10:11, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
:::::Now I am remembering that I wrote stuff in the "SandBox" area. Is that material that I wrote gone? Mrosati123 (talk) 10:19, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
::::::As the edits are not in your contribution history, you likely did not publish the edit; in that case, yes. Would you have used another account? <span style="font-family:monospace"><span style="color:#751f2a">Rambley</span></span>&#91;<i style="color:#751f2a">who?</i>&#93; 10:20, 15 June 2026 (UTC)

Question from SKYBOY M.O.B (22:52, 5 July 2026)

Hello! I’m an independent music artist, and I’d like to create a Wikipedia page about my music career in the future. Could you please advise me on what I need to do to meet Wikipedia’s notability guidelines? I’d also appreciate any tips on the type of reliable sources and achievements I should have before submitting an article. Thank you! --SKYBOY M.O.B (talk) 22:52, 5 July 2026 (UTC)

:a. It is generally not a good idea to write an article about yourself; if you are truly notable, someone else will write an article about you. It is hard to maintain neutrality when writing about yourself.
:b. In terms of sources, at minimum you’ll need three reliable sources (WP:RS ↗) talking about you in significant depth, though in practice it is better to have upwards of 5 to 10 in my experience. The more the better. Since all claims in a BLP need to be sourced, any writings in the article need to be backed up by reliable sources. <span style="font-family:monospace"><span style="color:#751f2a">Rambley</span></span>&#91;<i style="color:#751f2a">who?</i>&#93; 23:07, 5 July 2026 (UTC)
