Introduction to contentious topics
{{ivmbox | image = Commons-emblem-notice.svg |imagesize=50px | bg = #E5F8FF | text = You have recently edited a page related to ''' post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people''', a topic designated as '''''contentious ↗'''''. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as ''contentious topics''. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee ↗. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators ↗ have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia ↗;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines ↗;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system ↗.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard ↗ or you may learn more about this contentious topic ↗. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{tl|Ctopics/aware}} template.
}}

I have sent you a note about a page you started
Hi Redvelvetvanilaaaaaaaaa. Thank you for your work on Russian Book Chamber ↗. Another editor, Klbrain, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol ↗ and left the following comment:
{{Bq|1=Thank you for this very helpful article on an important (former) Russian national bibliographic agency. Clearly written and structured; appropriately linked to other pages and through Wikidata. It might be worth editing the Russian State Library ↗ page to better incorporate the history the institution (at the moment it is linked only as a 'see also').}}

Hello. Please tell me why you whant to delete my article. Pleas tell me and l will solve this problem ლაზარე ზანგური (talk) 19:45, 1 June 2026 (UTC)
:Hi there. I nominated your article, Kaspi School-Gymnasium ↗ for deletion as it does not appear to meet Wikipedia's guidelines for notability of schools, WP:NSCHOOL ↗. In order to qualify for inclusion in Wikipedia, the article subject must have "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject," per WP:GNG ↗. Your article does not contain such coverage, and I am unable to find such coverage. If you can find said coverage and cite it in the article, that would lead to a favorable vote to not delete your article. Redvelvetvanilaaaaaaaaa (talk) 16:27, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
