Transfer info on Sharks

Hey, wanted to discuss it here rather than edit summaries. The sharks squad info is just getting way too bloated. Numerous players were short term and listed as such, and they are accounted for on the List of 2025–26 United Rugby Championship transfers ↗ page, with sources. There’s currently 9 extra notes, it’s just getting too convoluted. I’m open to suggestions, I just think it’s a bit much at this point, when the info is already in the official transfer page. :I agree that there's probably too many notes, but given the fluctuation in squads (especially with the Sharks this season) the squad is incredibly different than the original one listed. ::That looks quite a bit easier to read, while still maintaining a good amount of information and continuity. I still am not sure about maintaining a totally separate list on each squad, as it doubles the work maintaining that and the master transfer page. I think quite a few years back ins/outs used to be on the individual team pages, and moving them to the consolidated page did help clean it up. Just don’t want to have to track transfers for both the transfer page and each squad, especially with links at the top of the squad page noting that transfers are available there. ::::That’s a valid point. There are also often squads listed on official URC or EPCR websites but often out of date. Sharks I can tell you consistently has an inaccurate squad on their own site, while others like Bulls tend to be more precise.

I'd say that a passing page could potentially be created now, however I'd like to see a bit more sourcing. List of Bulls (rugby union) players

Hi there,

My apologies for listing data incorrectly.

I can obtain previous Super Rugby seasons via the Wayback Machine on the SA Rugby website.

I will need help to add each season on the Wikipedia page. Could I email the seasons once I have added it together?

The data via the Wayback Machine shows each match with who went on as substitutes as well as the scorers so it is accurate.

Hi, I have a complete list of point scorers in the Vodacom Cup/SuperSport Rugby Challenge from 2002-2019 and in the Currie Cup from 2003-2025 (the '''caps''' are not available and the '''debut dates''' and '''last dates''' will not be available) This list is purely only point scorers. Would this be listable on this page "List of Bulls (rugby union) players"?

NPC pages

Hi, an editor is ruining the pages relating to the National Provincial Championship. They are renaming all the pages by changing the official (sponsored) competition name into "National Provincial Championship". They don't seem to understand that the sponsored name is the official name of the competition for the relevant seasons. I have left a message on their talk page, but I'm not sure they're going to revert all their changes and I don't know how to revert the changes to the name of the articles. Can you, please, help? ::It is an anniversary year, but they haven't announced anything regarding a sponsor (or not having a sponsored name). I have been following this. Also, this editor is making retrospective changes, e.g. changing the name of articles relating to previous seasons (you'll see if you look at their "contributions"). The name of the competition in previous seasons will not change regardless of what happens with this year's competition. He's also changing the text relating to previous season; it's like re-writing history. This editor doesn't know what they're doing. It really has to stop. NZ Rugby has removed the sponsor name for the 2026 NPC, but has not given any information about the reason for that, nor whether there will or will not be a sponsor name for the 2026 season. They have introduced a new logo. I have no problem with calling the 2026 season the "2026 National Provincial Championship" until there's more information, but that editor just can't change the past. :Hi @Rugbyfan22, as you will notice, this editor has again made the same changes to the Bunnings NPC pages. They replied to my comment on their talk page on ''my'' talkpage. They seem to have this strange idea that just because the Bunnings NPC was not named the Bunnings Cup (like was the case with the Air New Zealand Cup, ITM Cup and Mitre 10 Cup), this somehow implied a change from sponsored name to unsponsored name for the individual seasons. That makes no sense at all, because National Provincial Championship or NPC was already used since 1976 and they started using the sponsored name for the competition since the Air New Zealand Cup in 2006. The Bunnings NPC was not different from the preceding sponsored names in the way it was used in reliable sources.
:I don't really know what to do with this, but it's clear that the change must be reverted again. I don't know whether we can elevate this to the rugby union project for discussion? To prevent a move/edit war? Or revert the change and than protect the pages against a further move? No idea. You have more experience with issues like this, I think, so I hope you know what to do? :We don't list historical squads from teams like this as listing a whole squad from previous seasons in the main team article is undue. It may be suitable to list certain players from each squad, but not the whole team. Your edits on List of 2026-27 Super Rugby transfers ↗.

Hi,

Please refrain from making edits suggesting players have been 'released' when the team has otherwise not confirmed the case. Teams suggesting players have left does not mean they have been 'released', as seen in the large Waratahs exits, George Bridge namely was not released and instead signed in Japan. Until it is announced what the future of the player looks like as to whether they are signing elsewhere, retiring etc, it is best to leave it as "To TBD" to avoid false assumptions.

Additionally, David Havili and Devan Flanders have both confirmed signatories in Japan but the team is yet to be announced. Suggesting both players have been 'released' and removing the clear indication towards Japan is inaccurate and falls under WP:AD.
