:I am not a Historian. The site is listed as a "Monument of National Importance" but without any details of 'why'.
:So out of curiosity, I did a Google Search and found these few references. On reading that excavations had revealed nearly two millennia old history with finds of a Roman sculpture etc. And also Temples which are almost 1200 years old. So I felt, let me attempt a page which summarises my findings.
:If it does not meet the mark, then someone more capable will have to do the task. I now know why this site is of National Importance, and that is enough for me.

Coordinate errors


At List of State Protected Monuments in Madhya Pradesh ↗ you've been entering latitudes in the {{para|lon }} field and longitudes in the {{para|lat }} field. They should be the other way round. Deor (talk) 12:44, 11 July 2025 (UTC)

:Hi Diannaa Thank you for noticing my effort. I am a retired Architect aged 77 years and interested in Indian Heritage. When I saw the pages of National and State Protected Monuments of Indian States were scarcely populated; I decided to do my bit. So far I have worked on Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa and now I am working on Karnataka Pages. At the same time, I have been checking ASI sources and verifying to correct any errors of previous entries. I will continue to do it, hopefully for all the Indian States. :Hello Diana, I do not understand which "Koncheshwar Mahadev" page you are referring to; as I find, it is still available at Koncheswar Mahadev ↗ . As also "Category:Koncheswar Mahadev" at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Koncheswar_Mahadev . Is there any problem with these pages, please explain.
:When I was populating "List of Monuments of National Importance in Bihar" which was quite bare; with coordinates, webpage links and Commons images links as you will notice from my edits of that page. I noticed this temple at Konch, described at length by A Cunningham and J Beglar in their 1883 ASI report on Monuments of Bihar, which had withstood vagaries of time, Barbaric Invasion etc. I felt the need to take the first step to give this monument its due. Look forward to your help in doing necessary corrections
