Metal bands and albums

I see you did some work on bands and albums that I was recently involved with. That was what I was hoping for, I also (as is apparent) build individual albums but that is an effort over time. I will therefore continue with this modus operandi; adding sources to the band article before splitting out the material later. Here's hoping for an extended cooperation, then! Geschichte (talk) 08:26, 30 March 2026 (UTC)

:Thank you for your feedback, Geschichte. While you're at it, could you please help me restore some album articles for another band, Evergrey ↗? They're another notable metal band with over a dozen metal releases with some of them hitting the charts and best-of lists, but many of that band's album articles ended up as redirects due to insufficient reliable sources. If you could please help find some good sources for those albums, that would be great. Thanks again!SirZPthundergod9001 (talk) 02:57, 31 March 2026 (UTC)
::I actually placed Dreamaker on my to-do-list ;) Located the two offline reviews in Scream Magazine, which is a start Geschichte (talk) 14:08, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
:::Good additional finds for Autumnal! Geschichte (talk) 14:11, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
::::Thanks! As for Dreamaker, the two offline reviews are a good start, but we need more online sources that talk independently about the band and its material before it can be deemed notable enough for its own article to stand.SirZPthundergod9001 (talk) 14:24, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
:::::I have found several, but adding them is on a to-do list. I don't know where you are searching? Geschichte (talk) 07:56, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
::::::The way I do it is, when some albums by a band has articles but others don't, I search in the websites sourced in said articles for the albums that don't. If I still don't find enough sources from those sites to constitute making an article, I go on Google to find some sources from other reliable sites. Depending on the amount of reliable sources I find, the final result is either the album gets its own article or stays without one.SirZPthundergod9001 (talk) 08:03, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
:::::::Hello, keep it as the original and don't even think about changing it. Psgforver (talk) 13:32, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
::::::::In my experience the first publication to be searched is always Rock Hard. They are by far the most comprehensive source. They do have a review for Celestial Entrance ↗ which could have saved you the trouble of removing the page; together with Powermetal.de's review. I also found several offline reviews in the Norwegian press. Furthermore, Pagan's Mind also has RS reviews for Live Equation. Geschichte (talk) 10:26, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
:::::::::Got them, thanks! Same thing with ''Infinity Divine ↗'' and ''Enigmatic: Calling ↗''. I shall add in those reviews soon.SirZPthundergod9001 (talk) 10:36, 2 June 2026 (UTC)

Question

Hey again, I had a question. Has Metal Temple ↗ been deprecated? I notice you haven't used it lately. Cheers, JTtheOG (talk) 19:44, 12 June 2026 (UTC)

:Metal Temple has been deemed unreliable, that's why I stopped using it.SirZPthundergod9001 (talk) 22:08, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
::By whom? It is not listed at WP:MUSICRS ↗, which should be the go-to place for such info. Geschichte (talk) 19:29, 14 June 2026 (UTC)
:::Hmmm... It doesn't appear in neither the "Reliable sources" or "Unreliable sources" section. This happens with many sites that I've stumbled upon that look reliable enough for me to use until someone tells me in words that it's unreliable or puts the "Unreliable source?" tag next to it.SirZPthundergod9001 (talk) 23:44, 14 June 2026 (UTC)
::::I believe Metal Temple might be reliable - a certain longevity, a defined editorship, team of writers writing under their full name, and nowhere to publish your own reviews. As you have seen, I often include various sites at the bottom of articles for future reference - if they are found to be reliable, they can easily be moved up. Maybe a verdict for Metal Temple should be reached at MUSICRS. Geschichte (talk) 18:37, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
:::::I see. I guess I can give Metal Temple another chance, but we'll see how MUSICRS determines its reliability.SirZPthundergod9001 (talk) 23:47, 15 June 2026 (UTC)

Dayseeker Wikipedia page problem with user Issan Sumisu

Hi SirZPthundergod9001,
I just wanted to say that there is a problem going on with the Dayseeker Wikipedia page with the user Issan Sumisu. Since you have made edits on that page a lot and already know the genres and sources are accurate could you talk to Issan Sumisu to insist to him to stop changing the genres. He does this to a lot of articles of bands but the Dayseeker one annoys as he just changes it to what pleases him. Threedays3days (talk) 09:57, 25 June 2026 (UTC)

:Hi. I'm sorry to break this to you, but Issan Sumisu is right. The sources you used don't mention the genres they supposedly list at all, so I don't know how you're getting those genres out of them. Issan Sumisu is just changing the genres to what the sources actually say. He's not changing them to what pleases him, which seems to be what you're doing. If I were to ask someone to do something about this situation, I would ask an admin to have the article locked and restricted to admins-only until further notice, so that all this wouldn't keep happening. So please, let that article be, and only add genres when they're supported by sources that clearly state them for a band, artist, or album. Thank you.SirZPthundergod9001 (talk) 10:55, 25 June 2026 (UTC)
