Hi--reopening this conversation. We don't have a source to reference, outside of a facebook post to our team group. Please let me know if this is acceptable as a source.

:Msstarsman Please explain who you mean by 'We'. Have you not read the links I put on your talk page, one being to WP:RS ↗? I see no chance of a post to a private facebook group being considered a reliable independent source. Please use the article talk page to discuss its content.SovalValtos (talk) 00:40, 17 March 2025 (UTC)

Please stop putting the wrong name in for the school, if you think it is called '''Reigate Grammar School''' Surrey Hills please provide the WP:RS ↗ to back up this claim82.20.76.34 ↗ (talk) 11:06, 17 June 2025 (UTC)

Patric Dickinson

There are two of them. You keep changing the link to point to the one who did not attend Marling School. Is this deliberate? Imaginatorium (talk) 10:38, 10 August 2025 (UTC)

Sorry, but I suppose you do understand how links work? Patric Dickinson ↗ is one article, on someone who did not attend Marling School, and who was not a heraldic woteveritis; Patric Dickinson (officer of arms) ↗ is a different article, on the one who did attend Marling School and who is an "officer of arms". Imaginatorium (talk) 10:49, 10 August 2025 (UTC)

:{{tps}} @Imaginatorium - I saw your comments here and SHOUTED note on Marling School ↗. I think you have made your point about there being two Patric Dickinsons. However, there is no evidence (that I can see) that Patric Dickinson (officer of arms) ↗ attended Marling School. Even if his article did have evidence, the citation still has to be on the school's article as well, because Wikipedia (itself) is not a reliable source ↗. His name should really be removed from the list of notable alumni (and the school from his article) until a citation is provided, per WP:BLP ↗. <b><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;color:#000000">Tony Holkham</span></b> ''<b><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;color:#008080">(Talk)</span></b>'' 11:26, 10 August 2025 (UTC)

There should be a ribbon for it.
Out of curiosity I checked your user page, and by searching for the words "Remove" it seems your Remove/Edit ratio is above 1/3.
A third of thousands of edits, dedicated to removing content :)

Alright, I got your message from earlier regarding that additional BBC Breakfast ↗ presenter, and here's a reliable source for it.

Ordnance Survey maps

I don't seem to be able to access these any more (by clicking on coordinates at the top of an article) - they always came up when clicking on "OS maps" - are you aware of any temporary (or permanent) problem? Thanks, T. <b><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;color:#000000">Tony Holkham</span></b> ''<b><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;color:#008080">(Talk)</span></b>'' 18:03, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
:<b><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;color:#000000">Tony Holkham</span></b> I have not come up against any such problem but it is not a facility I use frequently. I have just tried going from the 'Rogate' article which led to a page with the choice of Popular, Global/Trans-national services and Regional services etc. I nearly always first try Google satellite under Global but this time as you had mentioned it, used an OS which opened successfully albeit slightly slowly with my fast connection. Please give an article where you are having a problem and exactly which link you are trying. Otherwise one of the help desks might be better than me.SovalValtos (talk) 22:30, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
::All articles have the same response. The topo column has OS maps all the way down, but only the systematic one shows an actual OS map, and I have to fill in the place; most of the others show Bing. The OS option shows a national view with the option to sign in to OC or start a free trial. I can work round it as long as OS is one of the options, but it's just odd when the column is full of "OS map" but they don't show. <b><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;color:#000000">Tony Holkham</span></b> ''<b><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;color:#008080">(Talk)</span></b>'' 12:18, 29 October 2025 (UTC)

Hello, I'm the user who reported User:IvanScrooge98 for edit warring about IPA in the administrators' noticeboard where you said that a Wikipedia article isn't a reliable source. I've opened a discussion in the talk page of Margherita Hack right about this, would you like to speak your mind there? &#126;2025-33234-66 ↗ (talk) 21:00, 13 November 2025 (UTC)

Cooperative Clarification

'''Dear SovalValtos''',

I am pleased to see that a more experienced Wikipedia editor has reviewed and corrected an issue in my recent contribution. I sincerely appreciate your time and guidance.

The paragraph I added to the page of St. Gregory's High School and College ↗ concerned its student '''''clubs''''', which had previously been absent, and I have now revised it to ensure a ''neutral tone'' in accordance with Wikipedia’s standards. I would be grateful if you could review the updated version and provide any further suggestions. Thank you for your efforts in maintaining the quality and reliability of this platform!

With regards,

Loughborough university page edit reverted

Hi, may I ask why did you revert my edit? I added Molly Anderson as notable alumni since she was appointed VP at Apple for Industrial Design, which is arguably one of the most prestigious and important roles in the entire design world. I want to learn the reason as to why you removed my edit. Cheers. EzRapper (talk) 17:38, 13 March 2026 (UTC)
:User;EzRapper ↗ please use the article talk page to discuss edits on an article rather than my talk page. An article should be published about Molly Anderson before adding her name to a list of notable alumni. See the link I gave WP:WTAF ↗.SovalValtos (talk) 18:26, 13 March 2026 (UTC)

Any chance you can explain your summary? Apologies, it just didn't make sense the way you'd written it! <span class="nowrap"><span style="color: RebeccaPurple">Danners430</span> tweaks made ↗</span> 19:15, 28 April 2026 (UTC)

:Also the second tag you added, for 825 - Essex Locomotive Society are explicitly named as the owners in the given cite… what’s going on? <span class="nowrap"><span style="color: RebeccaPurple">Danners430</span> tweaks made ↗</span> 19:28, 28 April 2026 (UTC)
::<span style="color: RebeccaPurple">Danners430</span> Comments about an article's edits are better done on the article's talk page rather than an editor's. The most recent edit summary I made on NYMR before your comment was Cit which is shorthand for citation request. Perhaps it was an earlier one, you didn't specify. The idea that Piglet is well known enough worldwide for wikipedia purposes to be Paul Middleton is risible. Winnie the Pooh? :::We can certainly discuss that issue on the article talk page - my initial comment was asking for clarification on what the edit summary in your revert meant, as it didn’t make sense the way it read. If you have no objection, I’ll revert your addition of a CN tag to 825’s owner, as it is already cited in the last column of the table. WRT to Lucie, we can discuss at the talk page. <span class="nowrap"><span style="color: RebeccaPurple">Danners430</span> tweaks made ↗</span> 10:44, 29 April 2026 (UTC)
