Question from LouiseTamayo99 (14:04, 6 May 2026)
Can I ask? Why don't other actors and actresses have Wikipedia? --LouiseTamayo99 (talk) 14:04, 6 May 2026 (UTC)
:LouiseTamayo99 there are quite a few actors and actresses that do have Wikipedia articles, but for those that don't, it's because they either don't meet notability requirements ↗ or someone hasn't put in the effort to create an article on them yet (likely the first). Question from Megacube24 (01:18, 10 May 2026)
Can you review my first edit under Matchbox (song)? I added information regarding Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan. Just want to make sure it is formatted and cited properly. Thank you! --Megacube24 (talk) 01:18, 10 May 2026 (UTC)

Question from Cheesecakes4Life (19:05, 12 May 2026)
Hi! Please mention what nickname I should call you by the way since I don't wanna be wrong with anything! My question is; Which articles do you recommend for an edit of something that's useful to others? That's all from me and bye! --Cheesecakes4Life (talk) 19:05, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
:Cheesecakes4Life to answer your questions:
:# You can just refer to me as Sungodtemple.
:# More valuable than usefulness to others is probably your own interest in the subject, as that is what drives you to edit and improve the article. To start out though, you should look at your newcomer homepage ↗ which suggests articles that have been marked by other editors as needing attention - this will help you gain valuable skills and the understanding of Wikipedia policies needed to contribute. Then you can work on whatever interests you most.

Question from WikiWarriorWinner on Hanford MacNider ↗ (10:12, 13 May 2026)
Several issues. I am not sure how to rewrite the paragraph. --WikiWarriorWinner (talk) 10:12, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
:WikiWarriorWinner what paragraph are you referring to? Sungodtemple (talk • contribs ↗) 14:41, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
::Oh, my bad. The 'Legacy' section. WikiWarriorWinner (talk) 14:58, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
:::WikiWarriorWinner it looks like that paragraph can be originally traced back to this edit ↗ and this edit ↗ from 2013 and 2017 respectively (I used WikiBlame ↗ to find the edit). As the users who added the information didn't cite any sources, and assuming that none can be found, removal of the paragraph is a justified response. The 2013 editor did mention the MacNider Museum ↗ however, so it may be useful to put a note for that for future editors or use that information to refine the search for sources. Question from Cheesecakes4Life (15:21, 13 May 2026)
Hey there, sorry if I'm interrupting anything and thanks for the answer to my last question! Now, I was wondering about another thing: How do you create an article? Thanks so much!! :D --Cheesecakes4Life (talk) 15:21, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
:Cheesecakes4Life creating an article is perhaps one of the most challenging things you can do on Wikipedia as you have have some understanding of all of our content policies and guidelines. Help:Your first article ↗ can provide some basic information on the article creation process, but just be warned that as a new user it's quite difficult to directly jump into article creation, and I would recommend you build up to it with simpler tasks. Sungodtemple (talk • contribs ↗) 01:41, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
::Ok! I kinda understood the fact that it was something challenging at first so thank you for warning me before I jumped right in and almost "embarrassed" myself in front of millions xD sooo I shall wait patiently until I have "experience" and start a project on making an article! So thanks for saving me before that! Also, sorry that I'm so unprofessional in these matters! Cheesecakes4Life (talk) 14:22, 14 May 2026 (UTC)

Question from VavaKaka (16:54, 18 May 2026)
Hi there can you make a sandbox for me please. --VavaKaka (talk) 16:54, 18 May 2026 (UTC)
:VavaKaka you can create it yourself - just edit the page User:VavaKaka/sandbox and add your content. Make sure to press the "publish changes"/"save changes" button. Sungodtemple (talk • contribs ↗) 22:20, 19 May 2026 (UTC)
::I can't find it VavaKaka (talk) 17:57, 21 May 2026 (UTC)
:::VavaKaka yes, if you click the link I sent above, it should say something like "Wikipedia does not have a user page with this exact title." Question from McLaimhin (16:26, 19 May 2026)
Hi again, Sungodtemple! Thanks for your previous help. I've been working on the Poki article we discussed and have a draft ready.. I avoided anything that was too PR-focused and left out any interviews with the founders, etc. Before submitting through AfC, I'd appreciate your honest assessment, especially around whether the sourcing meets WP:NCORP given the COI context. I'm particularly aware that the article leans heavily on Bloomberg, and I'd rather hear your concerns now than after a formal decline. The draft is at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:McLaimhin/sandbox. No rush, happy to wait for whenever you have time. Thanks again! --McLaimhin (talk) 16:26, 19 May 2026 (UTC)
:McLaimhin The AfC process is exactly what you should go through to get a full review of your article. I haven't looked through all of the references, but I think this is a more borderline case, as many of the references/awards are about the company website rather than about the company itself, an important distinction to make.
:I don't have access to the Bloomberg link, so I can't evaluate it, but reference #2 is an interview ↗ which loses a bit of credibility for independent sourcing ↗ as the interviewee is able to promote their game, and reference #7 looks AI-generated and thus not reliable ↗. Sungodtemple (talk • contribs ↗) 22:30, 19 May 2026 (UTC)
::Sungodtemple Ok, thank you so much for the feedback, this is incredibly helpful! McLaimhin (talk) 08:39, 20 May 2026 (UTC)
Question from IkennaAStat (18:34, 19 May 2026)
How long does it take for an edit to become approved/permanent?
IkennaAStat (talk) 18:34, 19 May 2026 (UTC)
:IkennaAStat apart from pending changes-protected articles ↗, no edits have to go through an approval process, so they are permanent the second you press the 'Publish changes' button. They can, however, later be reverted ↗ or further modified by other editors. As for pending changes-protected articles, you can see the rules for approval/page visibility at WP:PCPP ↗. Hope this helps. Sungodtemple (talk • contribs ↗) 22:23, 19 May 2026 (UTC)

Question from Jschmittj (11:46, 30 May 2026)
I noticed when I was searching, that there currently isn’t a Wikipedia page for the local Yacht Club my family goes to (Ford Yacht Club). I’ve been a part of it forever and know a couple commodores so definitely have access to the best info. Am I able to create it? --Jschmittj (talk) 11:46, 30 May 2026 (UTC)
:Jschmittj hello and welcome to Wikipedia! The basic requirement that all Wikipedia articles should meet is the notability guideline ↗; in short, there should be 2-3 reliable, independent, and contain significant coverage of the subject. This essentially guarantees we have enough verifable and accurate information about the subject to actually write an article.
:However, creating an article is perhaps one of the most difficult tasks you could possibly start with on Wikipedia - to hone your skills as an editor, I would recommend instead starting with tasks suggested at your newcomer homepage ↗. If you really want to try to create an article, the place to start is at WP:YFA ↗. Sungodtemple (talk • contribs ↗) 04:34, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
Question from Arturo Onofri (16:24, 1 June 2026)
Hello! I'm hoping to create my first Wikipedia entry. I've compiled a list of sources about my subject and drafted a short article. I'm wondering if you can help me determine if my subject meets notability guidelines, and if so, whether you can help me translate my source list and article draft into a legit Wiki entry. Thank you! --Arturo Onofri (talk) 16:24, 1 June 2026 (UTC)
:Arturo Onofri you are talking about Draft:Paul D. Dickinson ↗ right? The article is currently awaiting review in the Articles for Creation process ↗ which will tell you if it is notable or not. At first glance, it seems he would not meet the general notability guideline, as the sources are mostly interviews or otherwise do not provide significant independent coverage of him. Though obviously, don't take my word for it; wait for the draft to be reviewed.
:Your references list and draft look fine formatting wise. Sungodtemple (talk • contribs ↗) 03:40, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
::Thanks for this reply! We will see how the review goes. Arturo Onofri (talk) 01:08, 3 June 2026 (UTC)

Question from Sandycahill2000 (20:08, 9 June 2026)
Hello! Are you able to look at my sandbox and improve it so it's got a better chance of acceptance? and communicates our position best? --Sandycahill2000 (talk) 20:08, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
:Sandycahill2000, I don't see any article draft created by you. In general, though, I would advise against creating an article as the first thing you do on Wikipedia, as it is probably one of the most difficult tasks you can undertake as an editor. Instead, I would recommend beginning with simpler edits like those suggested on your newcomer homepage ↗. If you're looking to promote yourself on Wikipedia, just note that Wikipedia is not a place for self-promotion ↗, so you should look for alternative promotion channels.
