List of Bandai Namco franchises
Hey. I appreciate you wanting to help clean up the List of Bandai Namco franchises template, but that doesn't look like the way to do it. Why there was a need to separate Namco and Bandai is beyond me, considering that both companies haven't existed as separate entities for a decade now. Bandai also acquired Banpresto around the late 1980s to early 1990s, so I don't see the need to separate them either. Namcokid47 (talk) 01:36, 13 November 2018 (UTC)

Removing NBSP in Star Wars: Rogue Squadron ↗?
Is there a reason you removed all of the hard spaces from this article that I'm not seeing? Per MOS:NBSP ↗, they are there for a reason. --<span style="color:#000000;">'''T'''</span><span style="color:#993300;">orsodo</span><span style="color:#000000;">'''g'''</span>Talk 04:25, 12 June 2020 (UTC)
:I didn't see the point of having that many nbsp's since they seemed like just another way to put a regular space. I had never seen an article with that many of them. SwoopSwing (talk) 06:23, 12 June 2020 (UTC)
::Ah, I see. Ya, the article does have a lot, but only because it has a lot of weird phrases that need it like Factor 5, Nintendo 64 and Episode I. It's just kind of a strange case. --<span style="color:#000000;">'''T'''</span><span style="color:#993300;">orsodo</span><span style="color:#000000;">'''g'''</span>Talk 16:03, 12 June 2020 (UTC)
Recent title change
Hi SwoopSwing, I'm curious about {{Diff2|976053862|this edit}}. You didn't leave an edit summary so I don't understand where you're coming from. Why did you change the original title for the Japanese version of The Legend of Zelda? -Thibbs (talk) 00:08, 1 September 2020 (UTC)
:From what I could gather, "The Hyrule Fantasy" isn't actually part of the title. The side ↗ and back ↗ covers and the virtual console listings don't mention The Hyrule Fantasy in the title parts. SwoopSwing (talk) 04:40, 1 September 2020 (UTC)
::Sorry the link to the side is malformed. Could you link it again? And what do you make of this RS ↗? It seems that "The Hyrule Fantasy" was used on all cartridges, discs, and all of the game titlescreens in Japanese releases, right? -Thibbs (talk) 11:03, 1 September 2020 (UTC)
:::Fixed the link. And "The Hyrule Fantasy" looks more like its just a tagline/logo thing than an actual part of the title (unlike for example Shin Onigashima, which has "Famicom Mukashi Banashi" as part of its logo, its titles on its side/back covers and its virtual console pages). I haven't seen The Hyrule Fantasy being used officially anywhere outside of that logo design. SwoopSwing (talk) 01:12, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
The link is still incorrect. "Back" and "Side" only point to a single image from GameFAQs "40624_back.jpg". But never mind, I think I found where the image comes from: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/famicomds/578278-zelda-no-densetsu-the-hyrule-fantasy/images/12902
Now Gamefaqs is not considered ↗ to be a reliable source at Wikipedia, but I would agree that the images presented there are likely accurate. The only thing of note at Gamefaqs is that they also refer to the FDS version of the game as "Zelda no Densetsu: The Hyrule Fantasy". Presumably they are reading the title from the front of the disc's obi strip. With books, titles are usually found on the cover of the book, the spine, and the title page. For older video games, these would be the equivalent of the front of the disc/cart, the spine, and the titlescreen. Obi strips from books, musical albums, and video games are generally considered ephemera ↗. Gamefaqs shows the title(s) 『The Hyrule Fantasyゼルダの伝説』on the front and 『ゼルダの伝説』 on the side of the obi strip, but I think the determination of the title would best be made from the front of the disc itself and on the titlescreen. Both of these places list the title as 『The Hyrule Fantasyゼルダの伝説』 (later updated to 『The Hyrule Fantasyゼルダの伝説1』 for the FC release in 1994). I don't know if you got a chance to see the RS I linked above, but apparently the same title was used for all in-game titlescreens and all branded materials relating to the original Japanese release (the board game, etc.). The "The Hyrule Fantasy" portion was only removed for foreign localizations. From what I'm seeing it looks like the original title did include "The Hyrule Fantasy" and that 『ゼルダの伝説』 may represent a short version of the title (much as the Western world shortens it down to "Zelda" or "Zelda 1"). I guess I'll restore the original titles for now and then if you still think this is an error then we should probably discuss it in talk so others can weigh in. -Thibbs (talk) 03:20, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
