Welcome and introduction
Hi, TexianPolitico. This is NOT some automated message...it's from a real person by golly! Welcome to Wikipedia! I'm glad you've made an account! Thanks for joining; you're on your way to making some great contributions.
Because I've noticed you've ''just'' joined, I wanted to give you a few tips to get you started. If you have any questions, please talk to us ↗. Any questions, nothing is too silly (we've heard them all). The tips below should help you to get started too. Best of luck! JoeSmack Talk ↗ 23:46, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

- '''Anybody can edit'''; just go to an article and edit it. Be Bold ↗, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people. Besides that, you shouldn't feel nervous or anything about a good-willed contribution. If you're concerned, talk to us ↗.
- '''Play''' in your user area. For example, create User:TexianPolitico/test. If you feel nervous, feel free to talk to us ↗.
- '''When you're ready''', start your first article using the Article Wizard ↗. You don't HAVE to use it, but for your first article it really helps. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references. If you'd like more guidance, you guessed it, talk to us ↗.
Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page.
There's lots of information below. Once again, welcome to the fantastic world of Wikipedia!

P.S. If you just feel like poking around, Wikipedia:Help ↗ is a good place to start. :)
Don Yarborough and Don Yarbrough
I removed your changes to Don Yarborough ↗. The normal way of pointing out confusion with another notable person with the same name is to use the {{tl|distinguish}} template.
If you would like to add your text to Don Yarbrough ↗, you may do so. However, be sure everything you say can be backed up by a reference in a reliable source ↗. If you put in others' editorial comments like "evil" be sure you are quoting a reliable source, not a blog or similar source. Wikipedia is pretty sensitive when it comes to articles about living people - see the policy regarding biographies of living persons ↗. davidwr/<small><small>(talk ↗)/(contribs ↗)/(e-mail ↗)</small></small> 18:21, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
:PS Thanks for pointing out the similar names. I've added ''distinguish'' templates to both articles so readers won't be confused. Please keep contributing. davidwr/<small><small>(talk ↗)/(contribs ↗)/(e-mail ↗)</small></small> 18:22, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
Editing
Welcome, as you look new, here are some important links to read through:
'''Welcome!'''
Hello, {{BASEPAGENAME}}, and welcome ↗ to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions ↗{{#if:|, especially what you did for :{{{art}}} ↗}}. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

As to Corban College ↗, please do not re-add the information using links to YouTube until you better learn about copyrights ↗. It is illegal for people in most instances to upload video they did not produce themselves to YouTube. TLC and the production company that produces the Roloff's show owns the copyright to that show and thus they are the ones who can allow the upload. Others doing so can face tort liability, as you may have heard of all the college students who have been sued and lost to the record companies for pirating and downloading copyrighted music. And since the YouTube video you added is likely a copyright violation, we cannot link to it. Further, the video does not support that the visit is what is the most famous thing about the college. All it supports is the Roloffs visited the school. That's it. Now, this school has been around for a long time and their current AD is a rather famous person. So not only is it debatable what is the most famous aspect, but the video would not support that assertion, thus it fails verifiability ↗. Further, that would not go in the WP:LEAD ↗ of the article, if at all. I'm sure you are a big fan of the show, but Wikipedia is not a repository for trivia ↗. Proposed deletion ↗ of Paul Eggers ↗
left|48px| ↗
The article Paul Eggers ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗ because of the following concern:
:<b>Candidate that didn't win. Amiable is not enough for encyclopedic notability.</b>
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons ↗.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the <code>{{tl|dated prod}}</code> notice, but please explain why in your edit summary ↗ or on the article's talk page ↗.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing <code>{{tl|dated prod}}</code> will stop the Proposed Deletion process ↗, but other deletion process ↗es exist. The Speedy Deletion process ↗ can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion ↗ allows discussion to reach consensus ↗ for deletion.<!-- Template:PRODWarning --> -- Jeandré (talk), 2009-11-13t11:25z 11:25, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

25px ↗ Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, you may not know that Wikipedia has a Manual of Style ↗ that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia, as you did in :Benjamin Rush ↗, makes it harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page ↗ to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.<!-- Template:uw-mos1 --> Offenbach (talk) 15:56, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
Proposed deletion ↗ of Blake Farenthold ↗
left|48px| ↗
The article Blake Farenthold ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗ because under Wikipedia policy, all '''biographies of living persons ↗''' created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source ↗ that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners ↗ or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk ↗. Once you have provided at least one reliable source ↗, you may remove the {{tl|prod blp}} tag. '''Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced.''' If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can {{#ifexist:Blake Farenthold|request that it be undeleted|request that it be undeleted ↗}} when you are ready to add one.<!-- Template:ProdwarningBLP --> <span style="color:#B22222;font-family:serif;text-shadow:grey 0.2em 0.2em 0.4em;">'''''Mo ainm'''''</span><span style="color:black;font-family:cursive;font-size:80%">~Talk</span> 21:23, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion ↗ nomination of :Batty Bob ↗

A tag has been placed on :Batty Bob ↗ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable ↗.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion (<code><nowiki>{{db-...}}</nowiki></code>) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the '''the page's talk page directly ↗''' to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for ''speedy'' deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators ↗ to request that the administrator userfy ↗ the page or email a copy to you. <!-- Template:Db-notability-notice --> <!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> <span style="background:black;color:white;padding:2px 7px 4px 0px;text-shadow:white 0.110em 0.110em 0.110em;">—'''AssassiN's Creed'''</span><span style="color:black;"> (talk) </span> 20:15, 11 July 2011 (UTC)

This is not ambiguous. Please do not add the address back into the article. Thanks. Theoldsparkle (talk) 01:58, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Creel.JPG
Thanks for uploading :File:Creel.JPG ↗. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags ↗ to indicate this information.

Thanks for uploading ''':File:Creel.JPG ↗'''. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use ↗, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion ↗ in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please remove the tag.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license ↗, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. Edits and sources
Hello. I just reformatted your edit to Cleveland-Cliffs Inc ↗, since no source format was employed. (Also, only a reference to the event belongs in the lead paragraph, with more information posted further along.) I noticed then, for instance, such as Bruce F. Caputo ↗, where you deleted a wide swath of information (which may well be better capsulized), while losing the previous format on the source you did retain, as well as a wholesale lack of explanatory notes on your edits. (edit referenced: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bruce_F._Caputo&diff=prev&oldid=862462536) Please comply with WP standards when editing, as must we each.Lindenfall (talk) 15:15, 20 October 2018 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for May 12
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Texas Legislative Medal of Honor ↗, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Distinguished Service Cross ↗<!-- ([//dispenser.info.tm/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dablinks.py/Texas_Legislative_Medal_of_Honor check to confirm] | [//dispenser.info.tm/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dab_solver.py/Texas_Legislative_Medal_of_Honor?client=notify fix with Dab solver])-->. Such links are usually incorrect ↗, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. <small>(Read the FAQ{{*}} Join us at the DPL WikiProject ↗.)</small>
