Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited XDefiant ↗, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Twitch ↗<!-- ([//dispenser.info.tm/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dablinks.py/XDefiant check to confirm] | [//dispenser.info.tm/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dab_solver.py/XDefiant?client=notify fix with Dab solver])-->. Dates in Use templates
Hello. I noticed that you recently updated the dates in the "Use ..." templates on several draft articles. While I appreciate the effort to keep these up to date, kindly refrain from doing so randomly and for no apparent reason, and especially without making any other substantive changes. Doing so meaninglessly clogs up editors' watchlists without much, if any, benefit to readers and other editors. Thank you. InfiniteNexus (talk) 01:40, 26 December 2023 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hi, The Media Expert. Thanks for patrolling new pages. Please take a moment to read the new tutorial for patrollers ↗, criteria for speedy deletion ↗, and particularly, the section covering non-criteria ↗. Such pages are best tagged with proposed deletion ↗ or proposed deletion for biographies of living persons ↗, or sent to the appropriate deletion discussion ↗. Declined speedy deletion of Draft:The Pagemaster (film)
I have declined your speedy deletion request for :Draft:The Pagemaster (film) ↗ as no reliable sources is not a valid speedy deletion criteria. :Hello, The Media Expert,
:And I have declined your second inaccurate CSD tagging. Do not tag any more pages for speedy deletion until you review WP:CSD ↗ as you don't seem to know what the criteria are. 25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Welcome to Wikipedia ↗. We appreciate your contributions ↗, but in one of your recent edits, it appears that you have added original research ↗, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say ↗. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source ↗ for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources ↗. ''Please be careful about adding information without a source. Please provide summaries for your edits
Like the previous ↗ topic above, I’ve noticed that the majority ↗ of your edits do not contain an edit summary. Per H:FIES ↗, <b>you are required to provide one for <i>all</i> of your edits, even if they’re marked as minor. </b>Please avoid leaving your edit summaries blank in the future - even a brief indication is better than none, and it’ll go a long way towards preventing unwanted reverts ↗ or potential conflicts with other editors. Thanks, <span class="nowrap"><b style="border-radius:8px 4px;padding:0.5px;background:#DA291C;color:white"> Masterofthebrick </b> <b style="color:gray;"> talk </b></span> 12:48, 18 March 2024 (UTC)

Overlinking of common terms
Hello Media Expert, I noticed you added a link to London at ''Venom: The Last Dance ↗'' after I reverted it previously. It is best advised, as a courtesy, to not manually reverse an edit once you see it has been undone, and best to explain your edits in WP:edit summaries ↗ as others have directed you toward above. Links to well-known places such as London are unnecessary as they qualify as common terms. Per WP:OVERLINK ↗, London should not be linked "if the context rules out London, Ontario", which in this case, it does. If you are unsure of what links may be deemed common, there is a command script you can locate at User:Ohconfucius/script/Common Terms and implement in your user script here ↗ to automatically add it as a sidebar option when editing. This will automatically remove any common terms that are overlinked. Hope this helps! Trailblazer101 (talk) 21:13, 8 May 2024 (UTC)

Produced vs released credits
The article at Walt Disney Pictures ↗ is pretty clear that they produce live-action films and the only thing they do for animated films is release them under their banner. Basically the only thing they do is add the standard Disney film branding at the start and end of the animated film and for that they get a "presents" credit as shown by the billing block of the animated films they release. They don't do any actual production activities and Disney's animation studios get the production credit. Most of Disney's animated film articles are created by modifying copies of existing articles so the forms of the credits get propagated even when not supported by actual film credits or the billing block. I commented on the issue at {{slink|Talk:Inside Out 2|Production company credit}}. I would like to see this issue fixed going forward. Geraldo Perez (talk) 00:03, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
Inside Out 2 is actually 2nd place.

Studio vs. Production companies in film template
My understanding from going through the talk page for the infobox film template was that sometime in the past they decided to change the display name, attribute name and description from Studio to Production companies to better match what they wanted to go in that attribute. They left Studio as a synonym so as to not break all the existing articles that used it. Current documentation for the template permits both but suggests using "Production companies". Did you really have to plaster EVERY other sentence in the Looney Tunes filomography pages with citation suggestions instead of correcting/removing the bogus info? It looks so bad now. --MorningBlue84 (talk) 10:01, 24 March 2026 (UTC)
:I really had to. But it is better if only the original research is removed. The Media Expert (talk) 14:25, 24 March 2026 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to :A Corny Concerto ↗ when you modified the page, you introduced {{cl|Unknown parameters|unknown parameters}}. Just because you specify {{para|some_param|{{var|some_variable}}}} does not always mean that variable will display. The {{para|some_param}} must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview ↗ button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a '''Show preview''' button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history ↗ of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk ↗ for assistance.

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ If you update a future event to say that the event happened, you need to cite a new source, dated after the event, that states that the event actually did happen. Otherwise, it's better not to update the event description simply because the date passed, because the event might have been cancelled or postponed. We don't want to spread misinformation. -- Ssilvers (talk) 02:12, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
Mondo TV article restructure
I recently removed IMDB sources as it was an unreliable source and some of the sources on the Mondo TV ↗ article are seem to be dead & extinct sources on the Mondo TV article, so if there's time I need everyone's help to restructure the article and I gonna need help from you, too. ~2026-28155-19 ↗ (talk) 00:30, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
Bosko and Bruno ↗ moved to draftspace
Thanks for your contributions to Bosko and Bruno ↗. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because '''it needs more sources to establish notability'''.
I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page ↗.
When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Boynamedsue (talk) 08:04, 16 May 2026 (UTC)

Cartoons
@The Media Expert I've noticed your interest in archiving public domain cartoons on Wikimedia Commons. Can you help with uploading Famous Studios ↗ cartoons like Noveltoons ↗ and Screen Songs ↗? I recommend getting the Famous Studios Champion Collection Blu-Ray and uploading the high-definition remasters, especially that the two lost cartoons are only available in that collection. <span style="background-color: #F2CED4; padding: 2px 3px 1px 3px;"><span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS; color: RoyalBlue">Go D. :Hi @Go D. Usopp, I don't have a Blu-Ray Disc like you suggested. I could try using the videos2commons tool to help you. The Media Expert (talk) 13:35, 28 May 2026 (UTC)
::@The Media Expert never mind, I found the films somewhere online. The converter on clideo.com is more reliable than videos2commons as it doesn't crash as much. <span style="background-color: #F2CED4; padding: 2px 3px 1px 3px;"><span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS; color: RoyalBlue">Go D. Sniffles Takes a Trip, title card.png
Hi, @The Media Expert! I got a bot notification that this image was orphaned. My kneejerk reaction was to assume I had forgotten to add it to the proper infobox so I did that. THEN my brain kicked in and I thought to check the article's history page.
Well, eep.
You had removed the image because Blue Ribbon reissues of Looney Tunes cartoons are copyrighted separately. I'm going to find the correct copyright holder, but I wanted to let you know why I returned the image. It wasn't an ego thing or any sense of fighting for anything. I appreciate your respect for copyrights, for Wikipedia, and the way you handled this. Oona Wikiwalker (talk) 21:19, 25 June 2026 (UTC)
:Well, I found the original copyright registration here ↗ and the 1968 copyright renewal here ↗.
:Could you point me to the specific talk page or project guideline where this Go D. Usopp's rule is documented? I want to make sure I fully understand the project's formatting standards for these classic cartoon entries so I can comply as I work through my editing tasks. Thanks for your help! Oona Wikiwalker (talk) 00:19, 26 June 2026 (UTC)
::It is on Go D. Usopp's talk page on Wikimedia Commons, @Oona Wikiwalker. The Media Expert (talk) 11:49, 26 June 2026 (UTC)
:::Thanks for that clarificaton, @The Media Expert. I looked at that page and I don't see a rule there that applies here. EVERYTHING on Commons has to be public domain, released under a CC-BY SA 4.0 license. Here on Wikipedia, copyrighted content can be used if very strict fair-use guidelines are closely followed. As far as I understand, I did that and I signified it by using the Non-Free Use Rationale template. Would you please identify which rule of Go D. Usopp's you were applying? I suspect one of us, or both of us, are mistaken here. Let's identify and rectify the mistake. That'll make both of us better editors! Oona Wikiwalker (talk) 20:49, 26 June 2026 (UTC)
:::@The Media Expert My mistake, only four shorts have known renewals for Blue Ribbon and this is not one of them, but the original film is still copyrighted. Also, non-free files on English Wikipedia are perfectly acceptable, and you should upload all non public domain title cards locally there. <span style="background-color: #F2CED4; padding: 2px 3px 1px 3px;"><span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS; color: RoyalBlue">Go D. Usopp</span> <span style="color: RoyalBlue">(talk)</span></span> 05:20, 27 June 2026 (UTC)
::::Don't worry about the mistake, @The Media Expert and @Go D. Usopp; all good-faith editors make them. But I'm still confused, because I didn't upload the image to Commons. I uploaded it here, to English-language Wikipedia, and used a non-free use rationale to explain why. Is there still an issue there that needs to be resolved?
