Upcoming film RfDs
Hey Steel, there are 19 "upcoming film" titles you nominated at the WP:Redirects for discussion/Log/2025 December 31 ↗ page. Do you want to respond to the Keep argument, otherwise I can close them as No consensus, and you can nominate them later, like after 3 months? <span style="font-family:Segoe Script"> Jay</span><span style="font-size:115%"> 💬</span> 05:46, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
:{{Ping|Jay}} "No consensus" works. Quite frankly, my desire to dispute any "keep" argument in those discussions is nil after doing so time and time again over the years ... to a point where I don't dispute any opposing views (but also try to time the nomination for a low chance of any opposing views) unless they have absolutely nothing to do with WP:UFILM ↗, and I know any bundled nomination of those turns into a WP:TRAINWRECK ↗ (and this why I don't do bundled nominations anymore). 3-12 months after a "keep" or "no consensus" close is traditionally when I check them again, so no quorum here. Thanks. <span style="color:#AF601A;">'''''Steel1943'''''</span> (talk) 12:54, 9 January 2026 (UTC)

Proposed deletion ↗ of :Salt flat (disambiguation) ↗
left|link=|alt=Notice|48px| ↗
The article :Salt flat (disambiguation) ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗ because of the following concern:
<blockquote>'''unneeded dab, see Special:Permalink/1332009000#Requested move 2 January 2026 ↗'''</blockquote>
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary ↗ or on the article's talk page ↗.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process ↗, but other deletion process ↗es exist. retirement
I noticed I haven't seen you around much and just read the retirement notice on your user page. I hope you are well and that you enjoy the time away. If it suits you and you ever jump back in, it will be a welcome <s>routine</s> return. I've learned a lot from you and appreciate your contributions here. ::{{Ping|Myceteae|Jay}} Thank you for your kind words! Figured I'd give you both a response since I was here responding to a notification and ... wow, I forgot how time-consuming it can be just to perform like six or seven edits that involve reverts. ::::It is, and I'm trying to limit myself too, to few edits a day, and only once a day. Wikipedia:Destubathon of the Americas ↗
You are invited to participate in the '''Destubathon of the Americas ↗''', a contest/editathon which will run from May 1 to May 31. The goal is to destub as many of our 475,000+ stubs for the Americas (from Alaska down to Chile) as possible. A good chance to have fun in expanding many of our old stale stubs and win up to £2000 ($2680) in Amazon vouchers for expanding stub articles. Sign up in the Contestants/participants section on the contest page if interested. Even if not interested in prizes you are still warmly welcome to participate in it as an editathon! Hopefully we can achieve something significant in the month of May together! ♦ <span style="font-variant:small-caps;color:#aba67e">''Dr. Blofeld''</span> 17:36, 15 April 2026 (UTC)

For whatever reason, User:MadbesWiki emailed me {{tq|Steel1943 Already Retired From Wikipedia!}}. Gonnym (talk) 06:18, 20 June 2026 (UTC)
:Can't say I'm surprised. I have had some weird things happen to me over the years, such as someone creating User:Steel1943 Zweite and some random vandalism caused on my main page that resulted in me requesting my main user page be protected. <span style="color:#AF601A;">'''''Steel1943'''''</span> (talk) 06:07, 21 June 2026 (UTC)
Your closure
Heya, just to clarify, when you said {{tq|1=default to keep ↗}}, did you mean default to remove the redirect or default to keep the redirect? I'm assuming it's the latter, since you redirected Wikipedia:Guide to deletion ↗ to the proposed target right after closing the discussion, but I just wanted to make sure with you. FaviFake (talk) 10:15, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
:{{Ping|FaviFake}} A "no consensus" close means a new discussion can happen for it at anytime. In such a case, unless there is strong need for a WP:BARTENDER ↗-ish close (basically, the status quo ''has'' to change), nothing changes in a "no consensus" result (which makes it look like a "keep", but is not actually a "keep" close since a "no consensus" close allows new discussion to happen almost immediately if need be ... which I did not see any further discussion benefitting ''that'' specific discussion.) <span style="color:#AF601A;">'''''Steel1943'''''</span> (talk) 10:32, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
:Wait, I "{{Tq|redirected Wikipedia:Guide to deletion ↗ to the proposed target}}"? Checking... <span style="color:#AF601A;">'''''Steel1943'''''</span> (talk) 10:35, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
:{{Ping|FaviFake}} Long story short, I reverted my close. <span style="color:#AF601A;">'''''Steel1943'''''</span> (talk) 10:51, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
Unfamiliar with Wikipedia contributions and noticed you made the last edit to the only page that i can find that seems relevant to what i saw
i’m not sure if you are the best person for this or not i don’t typically use Wikipedia for contributing or discussion. I had seen your name under last edit made for the Wikipedia page for industrial snow and i had witnessed a very strange weather occurrence on 7/3/26 at my place of work.
I work in a wholesale food warehouse. The area i work in was experiencing a heatwave that is stillongoing on the east coast of the United States.
The warehouse i work in has an issue with moisture getting into the ceiling which leaks out when it gets particularly hot outside. This manifests with leaks in refrigerated and frozen areas where water can turn into ice.
The primary exit of the freezer leads into a refrigerated area which is set to stay at 39 degrees Fahrenheit. This refrigerated section exits out into the ambient section of the building which is essentially close to the same temperature that the local area is experiencing. In this case at about 1:00am that meant the area was incredibly hot and humid.
The mechanical door that exits from the refrigeration to the ambient area had temporarily broken down and was stuck open. As a temporary fix until the door could be manually closed, the aforementioned door that leads into the freezer was kept open to offset the temperature change. Due to the humidity in the building and the temperature change this lead to the refrigerated and frozen areas to develop intense fog reminiscent of a cloud.
with this combination of factors i witnessed the formation of snow crystals indoors at the entrance to the freezer that seemed to be forming near the fans that cool the area. It seemed like a bit of a rare phenomenon and i could not find a listed example of this exact situation occurring but the industrial snow page seemed similar but almost a reversal of what i witnessed.
i apologize as i am not well informed on any scientifically related subject nor am i informed on the process of Wikipedia contributions. If you could do something useful with this information or point me in a direction that would be greatly appreciated. ~2026-38109-01 ↗ (talk) 12:32, 5 July 2026 (UTC)
