Take Care edit

I reverted to addition of Universal Republic Records to the article. Label distributors, which Universal Republic is for Cash Money and Young Money, should be excluded, but they can be noted in the article's prose. Otherwise, it's just TMI in what should be a brief infobox. Dan56 (talk) 21:28, 17 November 2011 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Los extraterrestres.jpg)

25px|link= ↗ Thanks for uploading ''':File:Los extraterrestres.jpg ↗'''. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use ↗. However, it is currently orphaned ↗, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back ↗ if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media ↗).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions ↗" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any '''articles''' will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion ↗. Twitter as RS

You mentioned in the revision history of the Black Adam (film) ↗ page that "Twitter is not an acceptable reference." It is not the case that Twitter is an entirely unacceptable source for information like this. The reason Twitter usually is not used as a source in this way is because it often comes from individuals, self-publishing their own posts and thus, their own information. ''Most'' Tweets are not reliable sources because they are akin to blog posts because of this. However, a tweet from Entertainment Tonight is not self-published, and thus does not fall into this category, much in the same way that their news articles do not fall into this category. The article is preferred, so it's good to have that cited now that it's available, but the tweet should not have been removed prior. It should have been cited using Template:Cite tweet ↗, however. Please don't add Bruce Wayne / Batman as character name for Ben Affleck. The name is already added to that of Michael Keaton, we don't need to mention civilian identities of superheroes every time. Roman Reigns Fanboy (talk) 08:20, 22 June 2023 (UTC)

:I don't believe it is necessary to do it every time, but it is necessary if the character appears using both their civilian and hero identities. George Clooney is an example where only Bruce Wayne needs to be mentioned, whereas Ben Affleck appears as both Bruce Wayne and Batman.

I personally don't know why the Infinite Wealth draft was declined. There are plenty of "upcoming" games that deserve articles especially a high profile one like this one. 25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hi The boss 1904! I noticed that you recently made an edit&#32;at :Peacemaker season 2 ↗ and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. "Minor edit ↗" has a specific definition on Wikipedia: it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections ↗ or reverting obvious vandalism ↗. Any edit that changes the <em>meaning</em> of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. <!-- Template:uw-minor --> Trailblazer101 (talk) 01:52, 10 May 2025 (UTC)

:Regarding my edit, while we can agree that it wasn't "minor" (though that can be debatable), I believe the edit should stay for the following reasons:
:1. I changed the Hawkgirl link to Kendra Saunders (DC Universe) because that's the one being used on the Superman (2025 film) page, hence the initial note about changing the link for consistency.
:2. I do not believe it is necessary to state a plot point in the cast section, outside of the main cast members, which should contain some generic non-descriptive plot elements. We also do not know if they appear in more scenes outside of that one.
:Those are my reasons for the edit. The boss 1904 (talk) 13:03, 10 May 2025 (UTC)

:Hi there,
:While Yakuza Kiwami 3 and Dark Ties are referred to as separate games, they are only sold as one combined game, thus I believe it is fair to make one article for both games, as they share a lot of features. Mandatory paid editing disclosure

Because you apparently have access to an unreleased video game, I really need to give you this notice, since I don't see that it has been given in the past.

left|25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello The boss 1904. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to :Draft:Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties ↗, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements ↗. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest ↗ (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. '''Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia.''' Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view ↗ and what Wikipedia is not ↗ and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation ↗ regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization ↗.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing and should instead propose changes on the talk page ↗ of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation ↗ process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are '''<u>required</u> by the Wikimedia Terms of Use ↗ to disclose your employer, client and affiliation.''' You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:The boss 1904. The template {{tl|Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{tlc|paid|2=user=The boss 1904|3=employer=<var>InsertName</var>|4=client=<var>InsertName</var>}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, '''do not edit further''' until you answer this message. <!-- Template:Uw-paid1 --> ~Anachronist (who / me) <small>(talk)</small> 15:38, 8 February 2026 (UTC)

:I'm not sure what parts of my edits are giving this impression, but I am not paid by anyone whomsoever to create the article or edit it. I am merely a regular user who takes interests in creating/editing articles within my personal interest. The boss 1904 (talk) 16:10, 8 February 2026 (UTC)
::That's fine. My understanding is that not everyone has access to an unreleased game, and apparently you do. Notifying you that you need to disclose is just standard process. If you have no association, then carry on. ~Anachronist (who / me) <small>(talk)</small> 20:57, 8 February 2026 (UTC)

Stranger Than Heaven draft

@The boss 1904 - thank you for the work on Stranger Than Heaven's draft. Earlier today I accepted a draft for the same subject - without the capital T in Than - unaware of your draft with the capital T. A couple of other editors have looked at both drafts and I think we feel your draft should go into mainspace since it is better developed than the shorter version that is currently in mainspace. I trust this is OK by you? Or would you prefer more time to complete whatever work you are doing? ChrysGalley (talk) 13:23, 7 May 2026 (UTC)

:Hey there - I didn't create the original draft so I'm probably not the right person to ask. But I'm fine if the current draft is accepted. Either way I'll continue to work on it! The boss 1904 (talk) 14:44, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
