Hello!
Lovely to meet you - here is the link to the ICHST page User:DrThneed/Wikifying a conference/ICHST DrThneed (talk) 23:52, 30 June 2025 (UTC)
:Thanks for all the help you offered in updating Wikidata. I spent some time during my long flight layovers updating my ORCiD page. This morning I used the orcid scraper tool on Scholia, which now shows all of my "missing" data. What is the next step? Do I click missing and then create an item by hitting "Submit to QuickStatements"? Is there a way to batch all of these together or do I have to update them individually? User:Cotelesa
Hi TheEngineerHistorian, you recently tagged User:Cotelesa as a student editor, but there is no registered account under this name and is eligible for speedy deletion in accordance with WP:CSD#U2 ↗. Is this a misplaced notice, or will the student register this account in the future? ✗plicit 14:06, 27 August 2025 (UTC)
:My student said she registered and sent me a screenshot of her logged in with that account name, but she wasn't showing up in my course. I added her with that username, and her real name showed up in my student list just like all of the other students. So I am confused. TheEngineerHistorian (talk) 14:40, 27 August 2025 (UTC)
::Well, a careless admin deleted the userpage anyway. Perhaps the student can provide a direct link to the account? The userpage can be restored and moved there. ✗plicit 23:51, 27 August 2025 (UTC)
Links to draft articles
25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Please do not introduce links ↗ to draft ↗ articles in actual articles, as you did to :List of women from South Carolina ↗. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style ↗. {{#ifeq:{{lc:}}|yes|An edit has converted these links, into links to the not-currently-existing page (redlinks) where the draft will be placed if it is eventually accepted. Thus the links will automatically become valid links aimed at the correct target when and if the draft is accepted.|These links have been removed.}} Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 11:59, 14 February 2026 (UTC)
:Thank you so much. This makes a lot of sense. I am still new to Wikipedia and learning the rules. What is the best way to indicate that a draft is in progress? Should it go on a wiki projects page? TheEngineerHistorian (talk) 13:59, 16 February 2026 (UTC)
