Reminder about WP:ARBMAC ↗

{{ivmbox | image = Commons-emblem-notice.svg |imagesize=50px | bg = #E5F8FF | text = This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. ''It does '''not''' imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.''

User:LJstats sockpuppetry

Just a heads up, you can also report the latest sockpuppet IPs to SPI ↗ if you wish or if an AIV report is not successful — just go to that page, click on the sockmaster's username box, type in "Prim96", and press submit. A form will then pop up where you can enter all the latest IPs and accounts the user is editing from, as well as the evidence of sockpuppetry. Alternatively, you can also make a report at WP:ANI ↗. Zmaj

Hello, just as a follow-up to this revert https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Jovan_Jovanovi%C4%87_Zmaj&diff=prev&oldid=1333267767 ↗. I have contacted the user who requested the category's rename to take some measure to avoid situations like this one (I guess a "descent" subcategory). Meanwhile I suggest we keep everything in that same category for now so it's easier to WP:DIFFUSE ↗ afterwards. You were right in removing the category in the two other articles in which it was unsourced. Regards, Super Ψ ↗ Dro 19:06, 16 January 2026 (UTC)
:: Sorry but he was not Aromanian, and there is no source that support this.
:::Yes, nobody is stating he was an Aromanian, but we have one reliable source backing Aromanian descent. I simply had in mind that we keep the category so it's easier for the person who requested renaming it to browse it and WP:DIFFUSE articles into a new descent one. Why would you be opposed to this? It's more efficient for everyone, isn't it? Super Ψ ↗ Dro 23:24, 16 January 2026 (UTC)
:::: Actually this new category clearly states this, and it is unsourced, and factually incorrect, it is even questionable that Jovanovic had any of aromanian descent, since there is a rich collection of information about him kept in Novi Sad and over there it is said that his fathers family was an old Serb family coming from the arey were Serbs were majority in AU empire, this source you mentioned deals with the fact that his fathers side is only partly aromanian, we had a category that was quite weak but still way better than what we have now which described Serbian people of aromanian descent which was kept only because of this one source. The new need to be changed as it gives absolute wrong information
:::::Hello, I have started a discussion to ask for the old names of the categories to be restored https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2026_January_17#Category:Aromanian_people_in_Serbia ↗. I encourage you to participate to restore the status quo so we can avoid a dispute like this in the future. Super Ψ ↗ Dro 16:11, 17 January 2026 (UTC)
