"Signage History" sections
Hi, thanks for making the signage history galleries for the NYC Subway service pages - they're much appreciated. Per MOS:HEAD ↗, though, these should be titled "Signage history", since we use sentence case in article section headings, except for proper names which retain their capitalization. I'll fix them now, but just a heads up for the future. – Epicgenius (talk) 00:29, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
:Thanks, I didn't realize that I had mass-copied "Signage history" as "Signage History". I have added more galleries today and fixed the capitalization errors. We're all humans at the end of the day and we make mistakes.
:Once again, thanks for the notice :) TriStateGuy (talk) 00:33, 2 March 2026 (UTC)

:Why care so much? TriStateGuy (talk) 19:24, 4 June 2026 (UTC)
::It isn't the end of the world if I add a gallery image to a article, I feel like you're making it seem that way, my opinion. TriStateGuy (talk) 19:24, 4 June 2026 (UTC)
:::It goes against the manual of style - for the third time, see MOS:GALLERY ↗. You're not the only editor on Wikipedia, just like I'm not. Wikipedia has a standard manual of style, and galleries almost always go against that. <span class="nowrap"><span style="color: RebeccaPurple">Danners430</span> tweaks made ↗</span> 19:26, 4 June 2026 (UTC)

Excursion maps?
I couldn't help but notice that you created your own maps for US states certain steam locomotives have operated in excursion service, and I gotta ask, why provide maps for those that only ran in one or two states in preservation? It's fine if a locomotive has been to different states for a steam program (like N&W 611 ↗) or as a consequence of ownership changes (like LS&I No. 18 ↗ or Reading 2100 ↗), but it's one thing if that locomotive only ran in a single state and nowhere else (like PRR 1361 ↗). Wouldn't it be pointless for the latter? Someone who likes train writing (talk) 03:01, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
:Ehh, good point, can you nominate a deletion the file :File:Pennsylvania excursion map.png ↗, im working on 2 other excursion maps right now. (Reading 2101/2102) TriStateGuy (talk) 04:04, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
::@TriStateGuy I didn't nominate them for deletion. I just removed them from the pages but left the maps themselves alone, just in case they could be needed for other topics.
::Also, I can't believe I'm saying this, but do you think you could whip up an excursion map for Chicago and North Western 1385 ↗? This is the one and only time I ask this, and it's only because I had uploaded numerous EBay-acquired slides on Commons Wikimedia, but now they're about to be deleted for copyright reasons, which means a huge shortage of images for No. 1385's page. So I guess a map in the main space could fill the gap a little bit. '''''Maybe''''' for Canadian Pacific 1278 ↗ as well, for the same reason? Someone who likes train writing (talk) 04:06, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
:::1385 was one I was gonna do next, ill add it to my list of maps im releasing this weekend. Which for now is just CP 2816 and 2860. TriStateGuy (talk) 04:08, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
::::You know what, ill make a deal with you.
::::I will do an excursion map on every locomotive that's run on more than just a shoreline (Ex. My old WMSR and Pennsylvania only excursion maps) But can I do an excursion map on other locomotives that have operated on multiple shortline RRs in different states?
::::Ex. SMS 9, Susquehanna 142? TriStateGuy (talk) 04:11, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
:::::Why of course. If they operated in three or four states or more, and regardless if they were under a single owner (like 765) or multiple owners (like 142, which has had three owners in total), I'd say it could stay. Someone who likes train writing (talk) 04:16, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
:::::I'd like to provide a minor correction for the map you created for T&P 610. All the states you filled as red are correct, but the locomotive also hauled excursions out of Cincinnati, Ohio, and it made a few round trips in southern Indiana. I just didn't provide those bits of info in the article, since I didn't think they were significant enough. Someone who likes train writing (talk) 06:14, 20 June 2026 (UTC)
::::::I did say that the maps are not 100% accurate, ill update the map ASAP. TriStateGuy (talk) 18:51, 20 June 2026 (UTC)
