List of serial killers by number of victims

Hey, please stop adding Ivan Maleshoff ↗ to the list. There's no source indicating he was ever convicted of any murders. Confessions aren't proof. Aquatic Ambiance (talk) 13:10, 10 January 2023 (UTC)

What do you mean "stop adding him"? I added him once. Besides which, he was indeed a serial killer. Furthermore, why did you remove Christopher Halliwell, Pam Hupp and Brian Field from "disputed cases" when all of them are indeed suspected serial killers?

List of murder convictions without a body ↗

You stated that "no bodies were recovered in Hatley's case, and Phan thi Mao's body is still considered missing. The only reason we even know murders happened in either case is because their squadmates said so". But Incident on Hill 192 ↗ makes no mention of that, and in fact says "It was during those proceedings that the victim was identified by her sister as Phan thi Mao". Could you add a source to that article that supports your edit summary, please, to provide a basis for the event appearing on List of murder convictions without a body ↗? Talk:Lucy Letby#RFC on Lead sentence ↗

{{Ping|Tulzscha}} Hi there and happy new year! I'm just messaging as I've seen you have edited on crime-like pages before/on similar things so thought you may be interested in giving your view at Talk:Lucy Letby#RFC on Lead sentence ↗. There's a vote there on whether to exclude calling her a serial killer, on various grounds including ''"I don't think we can assert in Wiki's voice that she is a murderer"''.

Suspiciously to me, the whole debate was started when the editor Richard D. Gill ↗ -- '''already-blocked''' for promoting his real-world advocacy in trying to portray Letby and others as innocent https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/IncidentArchive1139#Number_of_concerns_on_a_COI_editor ↗, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Gill110951#Partial_blocks ↗ -- apparently appeared again(!) to evade his block and suggest the whole intro be changed to claim she is just an "alleged" killer: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk%3ALucy_Letby&diff=1187104792&oldid=1183273729 ↗ - EXACTLY the same wording he'd suspiciously been asking for on his own Twitter account!: https://twitter.com/gill1109/status/1725160891744657571?s=46&t=fPJcGrCVJ2JuU6m-lPCh0Q ↗. Wrongful conviction of Andrew Malkinson ↗ and :Category:False allegations of sex crimes ↗

I'm not sure about this. In the Malkinson case, no-one's ever disputed that a crime was committed, just that the wrong man was convicted (and, in fact, they've possibly found the right man now). It seems wrong to say that it's a 'false allegation outright', as that to me suggests an instance where there is no crime to begin with; the cat's mainish article, False accusation of rape ↗ explicitly says it's about cases "when no rape has occurred". At the same time, it's certainly a 'false allegation against Malkinson', and the redirect at Andrew Malkinson ↗ is entirely correctly a member of :Category:People wrongly convicted of rape ↗, which is reasonably enough a subcat of the false allegations cat. Seems like maybe the cat's under-defined, and needs clarification and possibly splitting. Polyphemus Goode (talk) 17:12, 17 October 2024 (UTC)

I was under the impression it counted as a false accusations because ''he specifically'' was falsely accused, and I saw other pages under the category which fit that description (for example, nobody doubts that Alice Sebold ↗ was raped, but she is still under the category because the wrong person was accused of her rape). I agree the category could do with more clarification.Tulzscha (talk)

@Tulzscha, why is she under :Category:Female rapists ↗? The article reads that the sexual activity or sexual encounter was consentual. Giorgio Bicchiere (talk) 01:33, 29 August 2025 (UTC)
:I read it as she forced her wife into sex by pretending to be a man (rape by deception ↗) since that was what was alleged in court: that she pretended to be a man and deceived her wife into sex (the wife's testimony makes it pretty clear she did not know Linck was a woman when they had sex). The article also says that her wife testified about how she "tortured and tormented" her during sex, which doesn't sound consensual to me. --Tulzscha (talk) 08:26, 29 August 2025 (UTC)
::OK! Thanks for clarifying User:Tulzscha Giorgio Bicchiere (talk) 09:21, 29 August 2025 (UTC)

Barbara Daly Baekeland

Hey @Tulzscha, how come you pout Barbara Daly Baekeland ↗ under :Category:Female rapists ↗? Giorgio Bicchiere (talk) 08:23, 23 September 2025 (UTC)

@Giorgio Bicchiere, my understanding of the case from what I've read (which, admittedly, isn't very much) is that she's supposed to have forced her gay son to have sex with her and with female prostitutes in order to turn him straight, ie corrective rape ↗. --Tulzscha (talk) 18:41, 24 September 2025 (UTC)

:I figured that was the case @Tulzscha, thanks for letting me know. In the past I attemped at putting under that category, but alas, my edit was reverted. Giorgio Bicchiere (talk) 22:00, 24 September 2025 (UTC)

Melissa Huckaby ↗

Hey @Tulzscha, how come you put Melissa Huckaby ↗ under :Category:Female rapists ↗?

Just curious since the category has been removed due to there being no conviction. Giorgio Bicchiere (talk) 01:01, 7 February 2026 (UTC)

I was not aware of that. I added her because, although the charge was dropped as part of a plea bargain, that she did sexually abuse Sandra Cantu in the course of murdering her does not seem to be disputed; but feel free to revert if you think it doesn't fit (side note; I guess I need to get better at remembering to leave edit summaries for this stuff...) --Tulzscha (talk) 01:21, 7 February 2026 (UTC)

:I undid the edit! Thank you for letting me! I wish I could get more answers from Wikipedians about the edits they make... Giorgio Bicchiere (talk) 01:32, 7 February 2026 (UTC)
:Also @Tulzscha, don't feel bad. I have had similar issues with some redirects I made for McNally v R ↗ (bare in mind, the people I was putting weren't identifying as male, but were pretending to be male as some sort of catfish. I promise I an ''not'' trying to be transphobic ↗ here) Giorgio Bicchiere (talk) 01:48, 7 February 2026 (UTC)
::@Giorgio Bicchiere:
{{tq|the people I was putting weren't identifying as male, but were pretending to be male as some sort of catfish. I promise I an ''not'' trying to be transphobic ↗ here}}
No need to clarify. I am well-aware of the cases in question (I think I actually added Chantelle Johnson ↗ and Gemma Watts ↗ to the article in the first place), so I know exactly what you were thinking of. Tulzscha (talk) 01:56, 7 February 2026 (UTC)

:Thank you @Tulzscha, that's good to hear. My point being it can be tricky to add categories for some articles and/or redirects. Giorgio Bicchiere (talk) 02:35, 7 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from Giorgio Bicchiere

Hey @Tulzscha, sorry to bother you, but are you still working on that category you made? Giorgio Bicchiere (talk) 06:21, 28 March 2026 (UTC)

Can you be more specific? I assume you mean :Category:Transgender female rapists ↗, but what exactly is it you want to know? Tulzscha (talk) 13:15, 29 March 2026 (UTC)

:I mean :Category:Transgender female rapists ↗, and I just wanted to know if these articles would fit under that category:
:Linda Mai Lee ↗ [make "Linda Mai Lee" a redirect]
:I would make the edits myself, but due to the contentious subject matter, I personally try to avoid it.
:So I came to you to see if you'd think these would fit in that category and you can make the edits. Giorgio Bicchiere (talk) 21:58, 29 March 2026 (UTC)
:Also @Tulzscha, I removed :Category:Female rapists ↗ from these articles. Since you seem to have an expertise on crimes, can you tell me if I should add the category back to any of the following:
:* Magdalena Solís ↗
:* Darya Nikolayevna Saltykova ↗
:* Guadalupe Martínez de Bejarano ↗
:* Piroska Jancsó-Ladányi ↗
:Giorgio Bicchiere (talk) 07:43, 30 March 2026 (UTC)
::@Giorgio Bicchiere:
::*Linda Mai Lee was one of the people I had in mind when creating the category, not realizing at the time that there was no redirect. When I found out I wasn't sure it would be worth making one (since, realistically, most people who search for her will know her as Steven Hayes ↗; I imagine most accounts of the crime use her pre-transition name), but if you think it would be worth it then she would certainly qualify for the category.
::*As for the others, I don't see any reason to add them back. The pages for Solís and Saltykova don't seem to mention either of them committing rape so they don't need to be there. Jancsó-Ladányi is already under :Category:Female necrophiles ↗, which seems much more fitting. I have no idea about Martínez as the page isn't very specific and the source is showing 404 not found, but from the description ("torture with sexual overtones" followed by talking about whipping them naked and burning their skin) it doesn't sound like she actually raped anyone. Tulzscha (talk) 19:20, 30 March 2026 (UTC)
:::OK @Tulzscha, thanks for letting me know!
:::The reason I ask is because I was considering add the category back to Piroska's page, as I read somewhere had she had "a sexual encounter" with her six or seven year old brother (which, by some definition, is statutory rape ↗, and is also quite '''gross''' and '''horrific'''), but I couldn't find a verified source. And I was considering adding :Category:Female sex offenders ↗ to Magdalena's page as it did say something about her engaging in pedophilia or sexual abuse.
:::Also, I want to apologize for saying I removed that category from Piroska's page, as I just remembered someone else did and not me... So sorry for taking credit for someone else's edit... Giorgio Bicchiere (talk) 19:52, 30 March 2026 (UTC)

Georgia Tann ↗

Hey @Tulzscha, sorry to bother you again, but would it be a good idea to add Georgia Tann ↗ to the article "List of serial rapists ↗"?

I read somewhere that there are reports by survivors and historians that she directly molested and sexually abused children (the main source for this claim is apparently a book called "The Baby Thief" by an author named Barbara Bisantz Raymond).

I know this is a very morbid question, but since (from what I have noticed) you edit stuff related to mainly crime and/or politics, I figured you might have some helpful input... Giorgio Bicchiere (talk) 08:57, 4 April 2026 (UTC)

Hey @Tulzscha, sorry to bother you, but can I ask you a question? I just need some of your expertise. Giorgio Bicchiere (talk) 12:18, 22 May 2026 (UTC)

Ask away. --Tulzscha (talk) 12:23, 22 May 2026 (UTC)

@Giorgio Bicchiere?--Tulzscha (talk) 19:48, 22 May 2026 (UTC)

:I read that Simone de Beauvoir ↗ groomed some of her students into having sex with her. Even though France's age of consent is currently 15, and at the time of de Beauvoir's existence, it was 13 (and yes, I do find that a little weird), her behaviour was frowned upon (and penalized to some extent) because of the power imbalance between her and her students.
:So considering that dead people can't be libelled and there are different types of rape, would Simone de Beauvoir be eligable for :Category:Female rapists ↗? Giorgio Bicchiere (talk) 22:35, 22 May 2026 (UTC)
:Also forgot to mention @Tulzscha, that the laws in France do allow it so a female perpetrator can be convicted. Giorgio Bicchiere (talk) 04:22, 23 May 2026 (UTC)

@Giorgio Bicchiere, that sounds like something you might want to raise on the talk page. That said, it doesn't sound to me like she committed rape, legally speaking. It sounds incredibly ethically dubious, but ''technically'' consent was given and the alleged victims were legally able to give it, so I don't think anyone would be able to make a rape case against her (it might be different if she lived in another country like the UK, where it's illegal for someone in a position of trust to have sexual activity with anyone in their care who is under 18, but I don't know that France has any such laws). --Tulzscha (talk) 22:35, 23 May 2026 (UTC)

:I didn't consider that, thanks for pointing that out @Tulzscha!
:Although, it did say on the Wikipedia page that Bianca Lamblin ↗, one of the students she had sexual relations with, accused de Beauvoir of sexual abuse ↗ describing her relationship with de Beauvior as "sexually expolitative". Giorgio Bicchiere (talk) 00:59, 24 May 2026 (UTC)

@Augmented Seventh, I don't understand how that qualifies as vandalism?
