Steve Jobs Image Change
Hello, could you please explain why you changed the image of Steve Jobs on his Wikipedia page. Personally, I think the old one was better. It depicts a Job that more people recognize and it is an image of a very important event in his life and his legacy (his invention of the Iphone). Why did you change the image? Did you think the new image was better, were you following some Wikipedia guideline? Thank you for your time. Masktapeisawesome (talk) 16:47, 3 February 2026 (UTC)
:Hello! I personally think Jobs is just as recognizable young as he is old, but the main reason I changed the image was because I thought it was much better than the old one (which was taken one year before his death and where he's balding and in bad shape). If you want to change it back, go ahead, but I think it does him more justice and better fits the "innovator" archetype. UltraCobson (talk) 16:54, 3 February 2026 (UTC)
::(Also, I believe the creation of the Macintosh was in and of itself an event just as notable in his life) UltraCobson (talk) 16:56, 3 February 2026 (UTC)

30px|alt=Stop icon ↗ Your recent editing history at :Hirohito ↗ shows that you are currently engaged in an '''edit war ↗'''. This means that you are repeatedly changing a page's content back to how you believe it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree with your changes. Please ''stop editing the page'' and use the '''talk page ↗''' to work toward creating a version of the page that represents consensus ↗ among the editors involved. Wikipedia provides a page explaining how this is accomplished ↗. If discussions reach an impasse, you can request help at a relevant noticeboard ↗ or seek dispute resolution ↗ such as a third opinion ↗. In some cases, you may wish to request page protection ↗ while a discussion to resolve the dispute is ongoing.
'''If you continue edit warring, you may be blocked from editing ↗ Wikipedia'''—especially if you violate the three-revert rule ↗, which states that an editor ''must not perform more than three reverts ↗ on a single page within a 24-hour period''. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, or whether it involves the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also, please keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—'''even if you do not violate the three-revert rule'''— if things indicate that you intend to continue reverting content on the page.<!-- Template:uw-3rr --> DrKay (talk) 07:05, 21 February 2026 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 9
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Charles Manson ↗, a link pointing to the disambiguation page Commuted ↗ was added. Such links are usually incorrect ↗, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. <small>(Read the FAQ{{*}} Join us at the DPL WikiProject ↗.)</small>

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello. I have noticed that you {{usertalk other|often ↗|often}} edit without using an edit summary ↗. Please do your best to {{strong|always fill in the summary field}}. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to set {{Preferences|Editing|Editor|check={{int:tog-forceeditsummary}}}}. Thanks! <!-- Template:Uw-editsummary2 --> <b style="color:#009900">SNUGGUMS</b> (<b style="color:#009900">talk</b> / <b style="color:#009900">edits</b> ↗) 13:27, 10 April 2026 (UTC)
:I only started using edit summaries when I got to my 100th edit. Now, I try to leave them, but I usually don't in cases where I just changed a single letter or did something very minor. Thank you for alerting me, though! I thought the same way about it too. UltraCobson (talk) 13:30, 10 April 2026 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
{{ivmbox | image = Commons-emblem-notice.svg |imagesize=50px | bg = #E5F8FF | text = You have recently edited a page related to ''' the Arab–Israeli conflict ↗''', a topic designated as '''''contentious ↗'''''. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and <em>does <strong>not</strong> imply that there are any issues with your editing</em>.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as ''contentious topics''. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee ↗. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators ↗ have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit <strong>carefully and constructively</strong>, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia ↗;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines ↗;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system ↗.
<p><strong>Additionally, you must be logged in, have 500 edits, and have an account age of 30 days ↗, and you are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on any page within this topic.</strong></p><p>Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics <em>procedures</em>, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard ↗ or you may learn more about this contentious topic ↗. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{tl|Ctopics/aware}} template. </p>}}<!-- Derived from Template:Contentious topics/alert/first --> Tiamut (talk) 14:35, 9 May 2026 (UTC)

Asquith
I have never seen anything say he was born "Herbert Asquith". He was Born Herbert Henry Asquith, and known as Bertie, or Herbert, until his second marriage when Margot called him Henry. He's on Record as Herbert Henry from an early age, and always used the initials H. H. DuncanHill (talk) 23:32, 29 May 2026 (UTC)
:That's unusual. Does the article itself cite any sources about this? I was going along with what was written, especially since there's also a note beside his birth name stating there is no middle name. UltraCobson (talk) 23:34, 29 May 2026 (UTC)
::It's not in the least unusual to have two forenames and be known by one of them - it's normal. Changing which one you are known by is unusual, but not unknown. I have friends who use one name in some circles, and the other in others. I do not see anything in the article saying there is no middle name. DuncanHill (talk) 23:38, 29 May 2026 (UTC)
::Oh, I've just seen the hidden note in the infobox, I don't know who added it or why, but it's wrong. DuncanHill (talk) 23:40, 29 May 2026 (UTC)
:::Should we change his birth name to "Herbert Henry Asquith"? I didn't challenge the note at first, merely making a stylistic edit, but I can't find a single supporting source either. UltraCobson (talk) 23:47, 29 May 2026 (UTC)
:::I've gone ahead and changed it. If anyone does has a reliable source ↗ saying otherwise they can bring it up. DuncanHill (talk) 23:52, 29 May 2026 (UTC)
