Original research
Hi
I have undone your edit to Alfie Moon ↗. Please note that adding a date without a source is original research - something that is not allowed on Wikipedia. Please read our original research policy ↗. Thanks.--5 albert square (talk) 23:36, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
:In which case you will probably have to remove most of the divorce dates from the profiles of soap characters since references to the receipt of decrees absolute are rare in soaps.
:Roxy announced that she was filing for an annulment in late 2013. Given the time it takes for such arrangements to be finalised, and the fact Alfie married Kat in 2014, it is reasonable to conclude that Alfie and Roxy's annulment was received in 2014.
:Changing the marriage dates to “2013—” implies that Alfie and Roxy are still married. Unless there is a source that proves ''EastEnders'' is planning a bigamy storyline, I fail to see why it should be left as such. If there is a need to be pedantic, “2013-?” would make more sense; what is absolutely clear is that Alfie and Roxy are no longer married.

Please stop using mdashes in date ranges. If you are unfamiliar with the use of dashes in English, please see Dash ↗ and MOS:DASH ↗. DrKay (talk) 18:00, 16 January 2017 (UTC)
:What do you not understand about dashes? If you don't understand something, ask. Don't just carry on making the same ignorant mistake. DrKay (talk) 16:55, 31 January 2017 (UTC)
::You're still getting dashes wrong. Dates always use ndashes not mdashes. Please stop using mdashes. It is disruptive to keep making incorrect edits after being told that they are wrong. DrKay (talk) 16:50, 25 March 2017 (UTC)
Edit-warring
30px|left|alt=Stop icon ↗ Your recent editing history at :Frederica of Hanover ↗ shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war ↗. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page ↗ to work toward making a version that represents consensus ↗ among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD ↗ for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard ↗ or seek dispute resolution ↗. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection ↗.
'''Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing ↗'''—especially if you violate the three-revert rule ↗, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts ↗ on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—'''even if you don't violate the three-revert rule'''—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.<!-- Template:uw-3rr --> Celia Homeford (talk) 08:49, 20 January 2017 (UTC)

The masculine form of née is an obsolete rarity (see https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/n%C3%A9). Please do not use it. DrKay (talk) 16:37, 18 April 2017 (UTC)
:Rarity is not obsolescence. It is only rare because women generally change their names upon marriage and men stick to their birth name.
::No. Trust a native English speaker: it isn't used. DrKay (talk) 19:29, 18 April 2017 (UTC)
:My understanding is that "d." [died] is used when the marriage is ended by the article subject's death, and "wid." [widowed] is used when the marriage is ended by the article subject's spouse's death. It makes no sense otherwise, and the two can't be distinguished if you use "d." for both.--Vabadus91 (talk) 17:50, 18 April 2017 (UTC)
::You are wrong. The parameter was discussed and the community's unanimous consensus was that "wid." should not be used.
::"d." should not be used for the article subject's death because their death date is already given in the infobox and if repeated in the spouse parameter it can too easily be mistaken for the death date of the spouse. DrKay (talk) 19:29, 18 April 2017 (UTC)

Just dropping a note here to let you know I reverted one of your edits as the academic titles and honourifics such as "dr", "professor" and the like are not usually used on Wikipedia unless part of a well known stage name or nickname (WP:CREDENTIAL ↗). It seems that on most articles where the subjects hold such titles this fact is mentioned only within the text body, not in the first mention of the name, or the infobox. :''Née'' is used all over Wikipedia — far more than any alternative.
:Nobody calls her "Meghan, Duchess of Sussex" either; she is "THE Duchess of Sussex". She would only be styled "[First name], Duchess of Sussex" if she were divorced from Harry. But since Wikipedians include first names for royals, it makes sense that she is either "Rachel, Duchess of Sussex" (who was formerly known as Meghan Markle) or "Rachel Meghan, Duchess of Sussex".

:::It isn't a "more incorrect" form. Her legal name is (without commas) "Her Royal Highness Rachel Meghan Duchess of Sussex". 30px|link= ↗ You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war ↗ according to the reverts you have made on :Northampton ↗. If one read the rest of the paragraph one could not arrive at such a conclusion. Presenting only the non-rhotic variant is not "to list both", and the "local pronunciations" that part of the guideline is talking about of are ones that differ in non-predictable ways, see New Orleans ↗ for instance. {{IPAc-en|ɔːr}} already and automatically means "[ɔːr] in rhotic accents and [ɔː] in non-rhotic ones". 30px|left|alt=Stop icon ↗ Your recent editing history at :Camilla, Queen Consort ↗ shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war ↗; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page ↗ to work toward making a version that represents consensus ↗ among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done ↗. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard ↗ or seek dispute resolution ↗. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection ↗.
'''Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing ↗'''—especially if you violate the three-revert rule ↗, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts ↗ on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Dual nationality
Hello. Your edit on Virginia Giuffre ↗ was incorrect and has been reverted. When a person is strongly associated with more than one nationality then it is the correct style on Wikipedia to mention them separately and not to use constructions such as "American-Australian" or "American-born Australian". ::Although she is ''primarily'' thought of as American by most people (not surprisingly because the alleged incidents she is associated with were when she was only an American), but she lived much or most of her adult life in Australia and was considered to have also become an Australian (both legally and also because her husband and children are Australian).
