Re your removal
On 23 April 2018 You removed the fact that Dorothy Dietrich was proclaimed the "first lady of magic" way before a latter day female magician, partly because "the citation is a tabloid". This does not change the fact that legendary magician Dorothy Dietrich was described with that reference many years before and it was most likely copied from her. No woman in magic, for even the shortest amount of time, would not be aware of the position Dorothy Dietrich has forged in the business as a early groundbreaking pioneer female magician. You as well!
That said women magician is not even in the business and has fallen by the wayside for many years as far as I can tell.

Going through WP:JCW ↗ much?
You seem to be doing a lot of citation-related cleanup/fixing recently. Are you making use of WP:JCW ↗ for it, or are you search for problematic citations through other means? <span style="font-variant:small-caps; whitespace:nowrap;">Headbomb {t · c ↗ · p ↗ · b ↗}</span> 11:08, 17 November 2019 (UTC)
:{{reply to|Headbomb}} I have been using JCW, specifically the potentially problematic patterns page ↗; I don't know of any other method that would allow me to find issues so quickly. Vahurzpu (talk) 16:28, 17 November 2019 (UTC)
Thought so. I was doing some similar cleanup, and I noticed you took care of several of them already, so I though the coincidence was too high. I usually take care of the following
- A Publication of...
- Digital libraries
- Identifiers (I'm skipping the ISBNs, so do feel free to tackle those)
- Legalese
- Official Journal
- Peer review
- Special Issues
- Weird stuff
- Curly ’
Anyway, watch the page, I've been tweaking patterns. <span style="font-variant:small-caps; whitespace:nowrap;">Headbomb {t · c ↗ · p ↗ · b ↗}</span> 05:23, 18 November 2019 (UTC)

--> The comment the reviewer left was:
{{divbox|blue|3=I had previously marked this as promising because it is a notable topic. I could not evaluate the sources at the time as they were improperly formatted (see history of this page). Now that the references have been fixed it is clear that most of the sources do not meet WP:MEDRS ↗ standards - they are largely primary sources, sometimes very old. Furthermore several of the references that I checked do not support the statements made. e.g. ref 9 does not say anything to the effect of "This test is performed by a scientist or lab technician in the laboratory who will then provide the agglutination test results to the doctor or medical professional"; the statement that "The slide agglutination test does not provide quantitative analysis." is referenced to a paper about a quantitative slide agglutination test. I believe what happened here is that the author wrote the article first and then searched for sources to add, rather than writing the article based on the sources, and was not especially careful to check that the sources support the content. Also, there are some obvious errors such as saying that saliva and urine samples are used to detect antigens in the serum and that spinal anesthesia is a method for collecting CSF (??) Unfortunately, while this is a worthy topic I cannot accept it in this state.}} Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit ''when they have been resolved''.

Moving parenthetical citations to short footnotes
Hi. The decision at the RfC was to deprecate parenthetical citations to short footnotes, '''not''' tags. If you wish to convert the article similar to its parent article Actuary ↗, by all means, but please do bot blithely use tagged format. Thank you. -- Avi (talk) 06:29, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
:Please see detiled instruction on how to properly convert parenthetical citation to shortened footnotes at :commons:File:Converting Harvard citations to shortened footnotes (sfn).pdf ↗. Please also see WP:SFN ↗ & Help:Shortened footnotes ↗. Peaceray (talk) 06:40, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
::{{reply to|Peaceray|Avraham}} Neither the RFC closure statement ↗ nor Wikipedia:Citing sources#Parenthetical referencing ↗ refer to any particular successor format; rather, both state that conversion should be "into currently accepted formats". That being said, I don't object to someone converting the article to use short footnotes; I was just converting from a deprecated format to a particular well-supported one. Vahurzpu (talk) 06:43, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
User:Vahurzpu/Parenthetical editnotices for deletion
On User:Vahurzpu/Parenthetical editnotices for deletion, most of the articles had been converted to either all or predominately shortened footnote style, but the editnotices had not. I took care of updating the editnotices for those articles to {{tl|Shortened footnote editnotice}}. There were a couple which were mixed style or all regular footnotes, & I took care of blanking those editnotices.
The only one that was on the list that truly had been parenthetical referencing was Wah-wah (music) ↗, which you converted to regular footnote style. Only when I have the time, will I revert it then immediately set about converting it to the shortened footnotes that will better suit the original editorial intent.
There was a historical inaccuracy in that shortened footnotes were lumped in with the {{tl|Parenthetical referencing editnotice}}. This was corrected last fall. However, not all editnotices have been updated yet.
I will note that the the Parenthetical referencing editnotice does state {{tq|If you have previously used this template for pages using the shortened footnote ↗ citation style, please switch to the {{tl|Shortened footnote editnotice}}.}} Similarly, the {{tl|Use Harvard referencing}} template states {{tq|Please consider using shortened footnotes ↗ or another citation style instead, and forgoing the use of this template.}} I believe that shortened footnotes are generally the best replacement for parenthetical / Harvard referencing.
Thank you for your patience with this. Peaceray (talk) 06:53, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
:{{re|Peaceray}} Thanks for cleaning up those editnotices. I don't intend to convert any more articles in the future, but I'll keep your note in mind if I end up doing so. Vahurzpu (talk) 07:00, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
Variety magazine
Hello Vahurzpu, you helped me obtain a Variety page in the past on the ResourceExchange, and I was just wondering is this something you were able to find through the Wikipedia Library? I'm going far back in time at this point to 1980 for ''The Empire Strikes Back ↗'', and my best luck has been on Gale, but that only goes back as far as 1997 in terms of full text. Darkwarriorblake / SEXY ACTION TALK PAGE! 20:54, 20 April 2021 (UTC)
:{{re|Darkwarriorblake}} I found it via ProQuest, and at least some subset of ProQuest is available via the Wikipedia Library. However, I typically use my university's subscription, since it's more convenient for me; it's very possible that the article was within the scope of my university's subscription but not TWL's. Vahurzpu (talk) 21:16, 20 April 2021 (UTC)
::Hmmm...I think I did try ProQuest but perhaps my searching was not as precise. Plus the document you got for me was post 1990 so perhaps it's just easier to get more recent stuff. Thanks for the information Vahurzpu, I'll put it to good use! Darkwarriorblake / SEXY ACTION TALK PAGE! 21:22, 20 April 2021 (UTC)
:::Yes it's my fault, I was just using the default ProQuest search instead of under magazines. There's like 91000 articles here. Thanks Vahurzpu. Darkwarriorblake / SEXY ACTION TALK PAGE! 21:45, 20 April 2021 (UTC)

Unexpected twist (for me)
Hey. Not sure if you were aware of yesterday's WP:AN#Government_of_Rhodesia_problematic_process_with_consequences_in_real_life ↗ (perm link ↗). Just noting how strange I found how this incident unraveled ↗ — "only part time in an institution ... unsupervised internet access" — ''what?'' I really shouldn't jest about such matters. Still, never a dull moment! <u>PS:</u> I've been to well over half the states in the US, but by far, I've spent the most time in Virginia. Beautiful state. Many fond memories. Best, El_C 01:18, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
:{{re|El C}} Yeah, that whole situation was pretty confusing. A user in the Discord server ↗ (the only one of the regulars there not linked to any particular on-wiki user) posted that link and mentioned their suspicions about potential association with Klaus Bells, as well as the other hoax articles. From there I was able to dig up enough evidence to verify the connections. I will note TNT's closing comment on the SPI, and that Klaus Bells's explanation doesn't seem entirely consistent with ''their'' behavior.
:I believe it's the most complicated scenario I've waded into so far in my editing career, and it's not over yet. Your bot's edits to Talk:Ryan Watson (politician) ↗
Hello Vahurzpu - I have noticed that VahurzpuBot has edited Talk:Ryan Watson (politician) ↗ several times since September, incorrectly "Remove redirect-class assessment from non-redirect" when in fact the article ''IS'' a redirect. Please fix whatever error your bot is making. Thank you, '''<span style="color: #880088;">PK</span><span style="color: #449900;">T<small>(alk)</small></span>''' 15:31, 16 December 2021 (UTC)
:@PKT: Sorry about that; I've fixed the issue. It appears that the page was not technically a redirect. For a proper redirect, the "#REDIRECT" line must come at the very beginning, but the short description was interfering with the software recognizing it. Per Wikipedia:Short description#Short descriptions on redirect pages ↗ I've moved it to stop that problem. The bot shouldn't mess with it any more (unless it's converted into an article); please let me know if it does. Vahurzpu (talk) 18:11, 16 December 2021 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on :Anti-Judaism: The Western Tradition ↗ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help ↗ or reference ↗ desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub ↗ for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable ↗ subjects and should provide references to reliable sources ↗ that verify ↗ their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may '''contest the nomination''' by visiting the page ↗ and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines ↗. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the {{Querylink|Special:Log|qs=type=delete&page=Anti-Judaism%3A+The+Western+Tradition|deleting administrator}}, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here ↗. <!-- Template:Db-nocontent-notice --> <!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> Kleuske (talk) 22:05, 2 January 2023 (UTC)
Removing redirects from non-redirects
It would be cool if your bot, while it was at it, could also remove redirects from non-redirects ↗ since other bots and editors don't. wbm1058 (talk) 20:20, 15 April 2023 (UTC)
False positive?
Hi @Vahurzpu, in {{diff2|1160303950|this edit}} your bot removed a redirect-class assessment from a redirect, that's currently waiting waiting for RevDel. Is that intended? <span style="border:1px solid black;padding:1px;background-color: #4D4DFF;color: white">Nobody</span> (<span style="color: #4D4DFF">talk</span>) 05:53, 16 June 2023 (UTC)
:@1AmNobody24: nope, not intended. I just updated the bot so it should skip things marked for RD1 in the future. That being said, I'm not too worried about it, since once the redaction is complete and the page is a true redirect again, the template will automatically sense that the page is a redirect. Vahurzpu (talk) 06:00, 16 June 2023 (UTC)
::I see. Thanks for taking a look. <span style="border:1px solid black;padding:1px;background-color: #4D4DFF;color: white">Nobody</span> (<span style="color: #4D4DFF">talk</span>) 06:03, 16 June 2023 (UTC)
Hi Vahurzpu. If you wanted to expand the scope of task 1, you could remove {{para|class|redirect}} from all pages, because redirects are always detected automatically so there is no need ever to specify this — Martin <small>(MSGJ · talk)</small> 17:01, 3 June 2024 (UTC)
:I considered doing this originally, but it would massively expand the scope of the task (editing hundreds of thousands of pages rather than a small handful per week). Also, at least when I wrote the bot, a few templates (MILHIST's among them) couldn't auto-detect redirects. That being said, I think their template now is {{tl|WPBannerMeta}} based, so maybe this would no longer be an issue. Vahurzpu (talk) 22:19, 4 June 2024 (UTC)
::Would you be willing to open a BRFA to see if we can get approval for this big job? — Martin <small>(MSGJ · talk)</small> 17:21, 8 July 2024 (UTC)
:::I'll take a look later this week when I have some time. Vahurzpu (talk) 01:13, 10 July 2024 (UTC)
::::Poke ... Could also do this with other non-article classes like Disambig too, if possible — Martin <small>(MSGJ · talk)</small> 16:49, 9 September 2024 (UTC)

Invitation to participate in a research
Hello,
The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this '''anonymous survey ↗'''.
You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.
The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page ↗ and view its privacy statement ↗ .
Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.
Kind Regards,
WMF Research Team ↗
