Question from Flipperoo on Friedrich Bleek ↗ (00:24, 10 June 2026)

Hello, I am looking for some help regarding editing;
The last paragraph in the life section of this page starts with the words "His greatest work" I understand that this might need to be changed as this is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Words_to_watch#Puffery, but how should I rephrase this?
Kind Regards
Flipperoo --Flipperoo (talk) 00:24, 10 June 2026 (UTC)

:Hi @Flipperoo! There's no one correct way to rephrase this, but the first thing I would do is to go look at what the sourcing says. In general, we try to mirror our sourcing's emphasis (WP:DUE ↗) when possible. Some possible other options could be "his best known work", "his most successful work" etc, depending on the facts and what the sourcing says. 🌸wasianpower🌸 ↗ (talk • contribs ↗) 01:02, 10 June 2026 (UTC)

Question from Gowthamsaravanakumar (06:14, 10 June 2026)

:''Note: Gowthamsaravanakumar's mentor Luka Maglc is away.''
I recently wrote a new article about Air-Cooled Heat Exchangers. Can you review it and let me know if there are any technical or grammatical issues? --Gowthamsaravanakumar (talk) 06:14, 10 June 2026 (UTC)

:Hi @Gowthamsaravanakumar – Unfortunately, this is outside my area of expertise so my ability to assist with technical issues is limited. At first glance, I think the main thing that would need improving is making sure every claim has a citation ↗. Also, it has a few signs of AI writing; please keep in mind that using LLMs in creating articles is prohibited ↗. 🌸wasianpower🌸 ↗ (talk • contribs ↗) 14:10, 10 June 2026 (UTC)

Question from FoltynFamOnTop (12:44, 10 June 2026)

:''Note: FoltynFamOnTop's mentor Clovermoss is away.''
So I made a publication on a YouTuber called Kearsten Foltyn, and it got rejected twice. So could you help me reframe it? --FoltynFamOnTop (talk) 12:44, 10 June 2026 (UTC)

:Hi @FoltynFamOnTop – I'd be happy to help, could you clarify what you mean by "reframe it"? 🌸wasianpower🌸 ↗ (talk • contribs ↗) 14:06, 10 June 2026 (UTC)
::like same topic but like in a way that it would be informational and get accepted FoltynFamOnTop (talk) 16:35, 10 June 2026 (UTC)
:::@FoltynFamOnTop, unfortunately, it looks like the issue with your article was notability ↗, which is tied to the subject itself, not the way the article was written. You would need to find sources to show that this Youtuber meets the general notability guideline ↗. I'd be happy to help you find a different subject to work on if you'd be interested! 🌸wasianpower🌸 ↗ (talk • contribs ↗) 18:04, 10 June 2026 (UTC)

Question from Noellekinnie (01:34, 19 June 2026)

Hi, mentor! When choosing to add suggested links, should we avoid adding links within a citation? like in a list of selected publications that are APA formatted. --Noellekinnie (talk) 01:34, 19 June 2026 (UTC)

:Hi @NoellekinnieWP:CITELINK ↗ should have the information you're looking for! To my understanding it comes down to preference and a bit of a judgment call, usually if a book I'm citing has an article I will always link it, and if a journal or publisher has an article I will usually include it as a matter of preference. 🌸wasianpower🌸 ↗ (talk • contribs ↗) 02:31, 19 June 2026 (UTC)

Question from Mark Donner (18:48, 24 June 2026)

I'd like to build a Wikipedia page about a flight simulator I built back in 1990 for the USN Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) vehicle. There already is a Wikipedia page for the LCAC but not one for the simulator. - that ok? --Mark Donner (talk) 18:48, 24 June 2026 (UTC)

:Hi @Mark Donner – there would be two things to consider here: first, would be that you have a Conflict of Interest ↗ (COI). You would need to declare your COI and follow the guidance put forth at WP:EDITCOI ↗. Second is that the simulator would need to be able to show notability ↗, which in this case would mean meeting the general notability guideline ↗. That means providing multiple secondary ↗ sources that are reliable ↗, are independent ↗ of the subject, and have significant coverage ↗ of the subject. Let me know if you have any questions about these concepts and happy editing! 🌸wasianpower🌸 ↗ (talk • contribs ↗) 02:47, 25 June 2026 (UTC)
::okay. I was one of the original designers. I no longer work in simulation. Without objection I'd like to give it a try. Mark Donner (talk) 11:39, 25 June 2026 (UTC)
:::@Mark Donner Yep, that's fine! Just make sure to follow COI guidelines, even if you don't work on it anymore that's still a connection to the subject and therefore a conflict of interest. 🌸wasianpower🌸 ↗ (talk • contribs ↗) 13:11, 25 June 2026 (UTC)

i have just create a page on "Public Cyber Security Awareness". Help me out to build this page for general public so i can aware them with simple and understandable language. --Gaurav2506 (talk) 06:45, 29 June 2026 (UTC)

:Hi @Gaurav2506 – I see your draft at Draft:Public Cyber Security Awareness ↗. It has several WP:Signs of AI writing ↗, did you use an AI chatbot to produce your draft? You're invited to the Mentorship noticeboard

Hi, Wasianpower. You are cordially invited to the brand new Wikipedia:Mentorship noticeboard ↗. I get the impression sometimes that we mentors are each toiling in our own cubbyhole or hamster wheel, quietly answering mentee questions with little to no interaction with other mentors. I think we have a lot to share and learn from each other, and I know it will make me feel better just having the opportunity to interact with you and other mentors there, and I hope it will for you, too. Looking forward to hearing your feedback. Please take the {{slink|WP:MNB|Survey|nopage=yes}} when you get there! Mathglot (talk) 00:24, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
