Disambiguation link notification for April 1

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of battles involving the Seljuk Empire ↗, a link pointing to the disambiguation page Abydos ↗ was added. Such links are usually incorrect ↗, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. <small>(Read the FAQ{{*}} Join us at the DPL WikiProject ↗.)</small>

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 22:15, 1 April 2026 (UTC)

Recent edit reversion

In this edit here ↗, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy ↗.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. <span style="color:#000E2F;padding:0 4px;font-family: Copperplate Gothic Light">S Philbrick</span><span style=";padding:0 4px;color:# 000;font-family: Copperplate Gothic Light">(Talk)</span> 12:13, 17 April 2026 (UTC)

:i added article because it had to included in children section of infobox qavurt, so that people do not question if the person exists or not. Adding lot of references will make it look disorganized WeAreNicePeople (talk) 09:11, 25 April 2026 (UTC)

:If Kose Mihal can be included, why not Agios Nikolaios. It already has pages in Turkish and Azerbaijani. WeAreNicePeople (talk) 13:14, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
:: Sorry, but I have no idea who or what Kose Mihal is and why they would or wouldn't warrant an article. The reason why that "Agios Nikolaos" doesn't warrant one is outlined in the deletion nomination: He didn't exist. Whether there are articles on him in other Wikipedias is of no relevance at all; we can't deal with all the not-so-good ideas people go for in other projects. Fut.Perf. 13:24, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
:::Uh, Don't You believe Asikpasazade, Kemalpaşazade or other ottoman chroniclers who have mentioned him? His battles are proof. Check the attached references. If you removing it, take note it was a manual translation I did from info from turkish and Azerbaijani pages. WeAreNicePeople (talk) 13:31, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
:::: Just read what I wrote in the nomination, and the scholarly article I linked from there that explains the situation (it's in Turkish, so I guess you can read it more easily than I could). Fut.Perf. 13:36, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
:::::Your source says using the term 'Agios Nikolaios' is fabricated, and the person was not the tekfur of inegol. Doubt in name doesn't decide the legitimacy of a person. If it were to, then the article about 'Osman I' should also be removed from Wikipedia. WeAreNicePeople (talk) 17:03, 12 June 2026 (UTC)

Hello, you've probably seen that the "Aya Nikola" page has been deleted now. Also, I felt it necessary to move your other recent creations from that area into Draft space (see now: :Draft:Battle of Mount Armenia ↗, :Draft:Battle of Domaniç ↗, :Draft:Siege of Karacahisar ↗, :Draft:Siege of Karacahisar (By Ertuğrul) ↗). These all need substantial work before they can be accepted as articles; they are partly translations from naively mis-sourced trwiki pages, and the others rather obviously created by LLMs (which may have also been the case with the "Aya Nikola" one.) This still leaves us with the need of cleaning up the older articles that weren't written by you but suffer from quite similar problems: Siege of Kulaca Hisar ↗ and Siege of İnegöl ↗. Fut.Perf. 09:44, 21 June 2026 (UTC)

:I think people like you must help making these pages "good articles" instead of just moving them to draftspace. WeAreNicePeople (talk) 16:47, 21 June 2026 (UTC)
:I think Draft:Siege of Karacahisar ↗ was good enough to be an article. Rest, I understand , need work WeAreNicePeople (talk) 16:51, 21 June 2026 (UTC)
:Whatever, mention the issues , lemme try to solve them. WeAreNicePeople (talk) 16:54, 21 June 2026 (UTC)
:: It was LLM-generated (don't pretend it wasn't, please; we're not stupid.) LLM-generated content can never serve as an article. Fut.Perf. 16:56, 21 June 2026 (UTC)
:::By the way, can you nominate this article for deletion : Amirān-Shah ↗ WeAreNicePeople (talk) 18:22, 23 June 2026 (UTC)
:::: Why do you want it deleted? By the way, if you are its sole substantial author, you can just tag the page with <nowiki>{{db-self}}</nowiki>, or nominate it for AfD yourself. If I'm to do it I need a bit more context. Fut.Perf. 18:50, 23 June 2026 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to :Dirgham ↗ when you modified the page, you introduced {{cl|Unknown parameters|unknown parameters}}. Just because you specify {{para|some_param|{{var|some_variable}}}} does not always mean that variable will display. The {{para|some_param}} must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview ↗ button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a '''Show preview''' button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history ↗ of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk ↗ for assistance.
