Disambiguation link notification for August 28
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Skira (publisher) ↗, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Claude Roy ↗ and Jean Leymarie ↗ ([//dispenser.info.tm/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dablinks.py/Skira_%28publisher%29 check to confirm] | [//dispenser.info.tm/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dab_solver.py/Skira_%28publisher%29?client=notify fix with Dab solver]). Such links are usually incorrect ↗, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. <small>(Read the FAQ{{*}} Join us at the DPL WikiProject ↗.)</small>

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Minotaure magazine cover, Volume No. 8, June 15, 1936, cover by Salvador Dali.jpg
64px|left|alt=|link= ↗
Thank you for uploading ''':File:Minotaure magazine cover, Volume No. 8, June 15, 1936, cover by Salvador Dali.jpg ↗'''. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content ↗. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline ↗ is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag ↗; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page ↗. Thank you.<!-- Template:Di-disputed fair use rationale-notice -->

Your edits to Salvador Dalí article
Hello Wilafa
I have reversed some of your recent edits to the Dalí article and have started a discussion on the Talk page of that article. I understand that you believe the article has biases that need correcting. However, I think you need to explain more fully what these biases are and seek consensus on how these should be corrected. I would be happy to discuss the issue on that page. Thanks --Aemilius Adolphin (talk) 10:07, 18 November 2021 (UTC)

Anyway I comfirmed that it was kempii turtle.

:Sea turtles can be confusing. It is not a random tag on the file, it is the correct ID for the turtle in the image. The photo is of a hawksbill sea turtle (''Eretmochelys imbricata''), not a Kemp's ridley sea turtle (''Lepidochelys kempii''). Both of the photos on the Kidadl website (https://kidadl.com/facts/animals/kemps-ridley-turtle-facts) are misidentified ''Eretmochelys imbricata''. I sent them an message informing them. Just for the record, I am a herpetologist. I have been to the beaches in Tamaulipas and watched Kemp's ridley sea turtles lay their eggs on several occasions. I have seen hawksbill sea turtles and green sea turtles (''Chelonia mydas'') there as well. WiLaFa (talk) 17:16, 1 October 2022 (UTC)

Jacques Lassaigne
Hello, please make some effort to cleanup the use of citations on Jacques Lassaigne ↗. This is not best practice. All you need is one citation at the end of each sentence or paragraph. If you wish to cite additional material, you may add appendices, footnotes, and other types of material. Failing that, you can also move unused citations to the talk page or some into further reading or bibliography sections. Thank you. Viriditas (talk) 22:31, 11 August 2024 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hi Wilafa! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at :Museum of Fine Arts, Houston ↗ that may not have been. "Minor edit ↗" has a specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections ↗ or reverting obvious vandalism ↗. Any edit that changes the <em>meaning</em> of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. <!-- Template:uw-minor --> ~Darth StabroTalk ↗/Contribs ↗ 19:59, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
:OK, my error. I thought a minor edit was 500 bytes or less and I could only estimate the bytes before the change was made. I can undo it and repost it in a minute or so if you think it really makes that much difference. WiLaFa (talk) 20:12, 4 October 2024 (UTC)

Gallery thumbs are disallowed
Hello, hope you are having a nice weekend.
Why are you insisting on keeping an error-reporting parameter that gallery '''does NOT recognize''' and does nothing for you visually or otherwise on your page? You claim {{tq|This is how I want to view these images}}, but that parameter does nothing for you, or the image, and the images are identical with or without. Also, per Help:Gallery_tag#Inserting_images ↗, it '''explicitly states''' {{tq|1=You must also remove all options except for the caption and {{!}}alt=; '''{{!}}thumb,''' {{!}}upright, {{!}}right, {{!}}left, {{!}}center=, {{!}}centre=, and px values are not supported and may cause invalid image option ↗ errors.}} (emphasis mine), so you are deliberately using broken syntax that is not supported.
WP:UOWN ↗ gives you wide latitude for controlling your subpages, but it does not protect you against well-meaning corrective edits that are for correcting problematic syntax. WP:LINT ↗ grants other editors the permission to make corrective edits in your space without your permission to correct known, and tracked, syntax errors ↗ that are page breaking, or otherwise error-causing.
I cannot be clearer with you. Gallery '''does not use, recognize, or permit this parameter'''. Please remove the thumb parameters within gallery from your sandbox. No other pages on Wikipedia (at the time of this comment) have any other invalid image options. A team of multiple editors, myself included, spent multiple months cleaning up all invalid image errors in all namespaces here on Wikipedia last year, and we don't enjoy seeing cleared off errors reappearing. Trying to clear up the remaining 2.7 million syntax errors plaguing Wikipedia is hard enough without having to re-remove popup errors of types we've already cleared off. We can be reasonable and ignore issues if there is a valid reason, but "because I want it" is not a valid reason.
Since you have clearly stated that I am not permitted to edit your sandbox now, I will respect that, but can you respect these policies permit these corrective actions and that gallery explicitly ignores and disallows the usage of a thumb parameter in a gallery setting?
Thank you and best wishes,
Zinnober9 (talk) 13:19, 5 July 2025 (UTC)
:I created the gallery on July 3 while work on an article was in progress. The purpose of the gallery was to have a pool of relevant and quality images in one convenient place, that were appropriately formatted as thumbs with captions, ready to cut and paste into the article as needed. This gives me the efficiency and convenience of not having to go into Wiki Commons, scroll and browse through hundreds of images, identify useful ones, recaption and reformat each image, each time I needed an image. It also allows me to compare multiple images of the same subject, side by side, in a way that cannot be done on Wiki Commons.
:
:After 48 hours, I have finished working on the article, the gallery has served its purpose, and I will delete it from my sandbox soon. The benefits in efficiency and convenience of my method have been negated ten-fold by having to respond to your edits in my sandbox, which I thought was more-less my personal workspace.
