While I do agree that the article is unfit for Wikipedia, the criteria for speedy deletion ↗ are strict and well-defined, and your reason for tagging the article was not among them. Hence, I have removed the tagging from the page. The page, as it stands, does meet the criterion A7 ↗ (no indication of significance: web content); but the article cannot yet be tagged for it since earlier discussions between Wikipedia users have determined that newly-made articles (under one hour old) should not be tagged for deletion under A7 (and some other speedy deletion criteria) to give the article author a chance to improve on the page. First of all, why did you decide to randomly check out my creations? Second of all, why were you so impressed with my work-rate on Spanish football biographies?

To answer your question, I have created nearly 1,000 biographies, 90% about Spanish and French footballers, including +400 starts, +300 Cs, +100 Bs, and only a meager 20 stubs.

This is the first time that I'm actually hearing about WP:AUTOPATROLLED ↗, but I'm afraid it is too late for me now. I have too many skeletons in my closet. Not to mention that some of my articles have SIGCOV issues, and I already got some sporadic copyright warnings.

Indrāni Parish

Hi, just wanted to clarify the problem that has risen around the article about Indrāni Parish, Latvia ↗ (Indrānu pagasts). The original name of the article was Indrāni Parish, which was perfect, but then user User:Onel5969 made a translation error while navigating Latvian grammar and redirected (not moved) it to Indrān Parish, which is incorrect. As it was impossible for me to move the page back to the normal name, I moved it to Indrāni Parish, Latvia at least for now. Since you reverted the deletion of the redirect, maybe you can help me move the page to Indrāni Parish and fix this once and for all? Ivario (talk) 13:25, 10 June 2025 (UTC)

:Oh, so that was what's happening? Sounds like a complicated case. Sorry though, that needs administrator attention to delete the bad redirect and move the article back to its original name without leaving a redirect. I'm far from being an admin and don't want to be one. There's no clear-cut speedy deletion tags for cases like this (the closest would be WP:R3 ↗, but no one without provided context would say it's implausible). And since admins wouldn't potentially know about the context, they'll likely decline the speedy deletion request. Just listing the names of the two targets without doing all the other stuff isn't how you make a disambiguation. Though I admit, I could've just added the lead and the disambiguation template instead of reverting, since that would take a minute or so. That's a mistake on my part. :It was very hard to find the correct ratio with the color palette I wanted (green, cyan, and maroon). But I found something that checks two of the boxes while still being similar to the original. I found one that does check three of the boxes but that would require the green being unnecessarily light, should I switch to that? We're a month into the 2025 Developing Countries WikiContest ↗, with stiff competition at the top of the leaderboard already! Our current top five contestants are:

Adding long comment template

Hallo, I can't see any rule telling us where the long comment template and comment should be added, but please add them somewhere outside the main content of a page, so that the page is clearer for future editors.

Two weeks ago, the 2025 Developing Countries WikiContest ↗ came to a close! It had no content when you were looking at it, so tagging it for A3 ↗ was perfectly fine. Now you didn't have to do this, but another thing you could have done is draftify the article from the start. The "A" criteria don't apply to drafts, and draftification is arguably the kinder approach since it gives the creator a time to improve the page without an immediate threat of deletion. Archiving the archive sites

Yelps, I see you're adding archive links, which is an excellent idea for ephemeral websites. It's a great deal less useful for archival sites; for instance, at Chicken ↗, you archived a New York Times article - it's a journal of record - and a scientific article in Physiological Reviews, which likewise is a serious journal with a proper archive. Sources of these kinds have archives going back to their first issues so I don't really see the point of filling up articles with archive links. Chiswick Chap (talk) 10:54, 10 June 2026 (UTC)

:Yep, that's because I'm using an automated tool (WP:IABOT ↗) to archive these. It only doesn't know which are appropriate to archive. But I still use it because link rot is a serious and neglected problem and the good far outweighs the bad. I do look at some of the archives to see if they are appropriate. I would've checked the archives in chicken ↗ too and likely notice them. So, do you want me to remove the archives or did you intend to make me take more care when archiving. I can do both of these.
