25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hi Zayn Kauthar! I noticed that you recently made an edit and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. "Minor edit ↗" has a specific definition on Wikipedia: it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections ↗ or reverting obvious vandalism ↗. Any edit that changes the <em>meaning</em> of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. <!-- Template:uw-minor --> '''Jay8g''' <small>[<nowiki />VTE ↗<nowiki />]</small> 22:53, 28 March 2025 (UTC)

Your article Panon Hideung ↗

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Welcome, and thank you for contributing ↗ the page :Panon Hideung ↗ to Wikipedia. While you have added the page to the ''English'' version of Wikipedia, the article is not in English. We invite you to translate it into English. It has been listed at Pages needing translation into English ↗, but if it is not translated within two weeks, the article may be listed for deletion. Thank you. <!-- Template:uw-notenglish --> <span style="color:Red">'''Human'''</span><span style="color:Green">'''Right'''</span> 18:46, 30 June 2025 (UTC)

:Thank you for notifying me! I suppose this is regarding of the lyrics by Mus D.S. I'll translate it as soon as possible. For the rest of the article, there's already sufficient English translations of the Sundanese terms. Zayn Kauthar (talk) 05:08, 1 July 2025 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Oslan Husein Gadih Lambah.png

Thanks for uploading :File:Oslan Husein Gadih Lambah.png ↗. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags ↗ to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list ↗, click on this link ↗, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions ↗. Thank you for your cooperation.<!-- User:OrphanBot/untagged-new --> --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:31, 28 July 2025 (UTC)

Consistency with other provinces in Indonesia

Hey User:Zayn_Kauthar, thanks for your edit!
I’m opening this discussion to address the repeated addition of a flag in the Aceh article infobox.

This inclusion goes against the established formatting used for all other Indonesian provinces on English Wikipedia, where no provincial flags are shown — only the coat of arms. Even Yogyakarta ↗, which also has special status, follows this format.

Therefore, I propose the flag be removed from the infobox until such a consensus is reached. Happy to hear other editors' input, but in the meantime, I strongly recommend reverting to the standard format (coat of arms only).Soevid (talk) 16:50, 8 August 2025 (UTC)

:Hey, Thanks for the heads up! Although, it would be nice if you linked me regarding the consensus of strict coat-of-arms only if there were previous discussion regarding this.
:I would like to add though, Yogyakarta and Aceh obtained their special status through different means, therefore the government treats them differently, while Yogyakarta gained its special status through their historic significance, Aceh gained its special status through war and rebellion. While Yogyakarta doesn't have their flag specifically mentioned in their law, Aceh's flag is specifically mentioned in several laws which are as follows:
:UU No. 11 of 2006, Article 246:
:[...]
:(2) Other than the Red and White flag as explained in Verse 1, the Acehnese government may decide and establish a regional flag of Aceh as a symbol to reflect its special status.
:(3) The regional flag of Aceh as explained in Verse 2 is not to be used as a symbol of sovereignity and is not permitteed to be used under said mannerisms.
:[...]
:Qanun of Aceh No. 3 of 2013:
:[...]
:(e) based on the considerations as referred to in point a to d, it is necessary to form a Qanun concerning the Flag and Emblem of Aceh.
:[...]
:The talk page of Aceh isn't of much use for suggestion, and if there's a way to shine a light regarding this, it would be much appreciated. Zayn Kauthar (talk) 17:13, 8 August 2025 (UTC)
::I understand your arguments, but the issue here is not about Aceh’s status — it's about your continued addition of a flag into an infobox that does not use one in any other Indonesian province article.
::By pushing this change without broader consensus, you're effectively forcing an exception that breaks the standard format used across all similar articles. That’s not how editing works here.
::Wikipedia emphasizes consistency and collaboration, not unilateral decisions based on local interpretations. If you believe this flag must be shown, the proper step is to open a wider discussion (e.g. RfC), not to keep adding it back despite clear opposition. Please stop re-adding the flag unless consensus has been reached. Otherwise, this may be seen as disruptive editing. Soevid (talk) 17:37, 8 August 2025 (UTC)
:::The reason why I've pushed back is that some of the clear opposition — the several editors who redid the flag in the infoboxes — were IP adresses, and I couldn't know for sure if they were trustuworthy or not, if it were an actual user I would've settled with fine. I understand that my actions could be seen as disruptive editing, yet the one who kept redo-ing my edits were from my personal view throwaway IP addresses (their first and second outlet are the same numbers, but their last outlets are different), so in my perspective, they could be anyone malicious who could get away by simply changing their IP adress, and I had to stand by my point. I would like to apologise for my behaviour but I hope you understand where I'm coming from. Zayn Kauthar (talk) 17:58, 8 August 2025 (UTC)

Non-attributed translations

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from :id:Saleum ↗ to :Saleum ↗. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing ↗ '''requires that you provide attribution''' to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an '''edit summary ↗''' on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking ↗ it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here ↗. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution '''must be given retroactively ↗''', for example:
: <code><nowiki>NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at :fr:Exact name of French article ↗; see its history for attribution.</nowiki></code>
Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit ↗; see Repairing insufficient attribution ↗.
It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{tl|translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively ↗, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia ↗. Thank you. <!-- Template:uw-translation --> JTtheOG (talk) 10:10, 18 September 2025 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Iket ↗, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Balinese ↗, Javanese ↗ and Sundanese ↗. Acehnese Jawi Script

Hi, are you interested in writing an article about the Acehnese Jawi ↗ script? Si Gam (talk) 02:17, 15 May 2026 (UTC)

:I would love to! But sadly I don't have enough resources to go off of, I do have some historic papers regarding them but they're in Dutch Zayn Kauthar (talk) 08:49, 16 May 2026 (UTC)
::There are some books and papers from Hurgronje, Van Langen and Cowan about this. You can use ChatGPT to translate them. {{Smiley}} Si Gam (talk) 11:14, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
::If you are interested in transliteration of Acehnese manuscripts, we can do online reading of Acehnese manuscripts. Hundreds of manuscripts ↗ are waiting to be transliterated to Wikisource ↗. Si Gam (talk) 11:49, 24 May 2026 (UTC)
:::I could lend some help, but I'm rather restricted with my basic Acehnese knowledge and time due to university Zayn Kauthar (talk) 15:37, 24 May 2026 (UTC)
::::Noted. Perhaps in the future time. {{smiley}}. Si Gam (talk) 01:53, 25 May 2026 (UTC)

Hi, could you expand articles about Simeulue ↗ and Sigulai ↗ languages? These two languages have received very little coverage on Wikipedia so far. Si Gam (talk) 10:18, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
