Cabinet members timeline
Hi from a fellow Wikipedian! I often update and track cabinet appointments of Singapore, as well as those of some other countries. Just wanted to ask, since you regularly update the pages of Singaporean cabinet members, what do you think of the timeline I recently added to the Cabinet of Singapore ↗ page, and if there are any glaring errors that you can see? Always wise to have a second opinion. SuperWIKI (talk) 13:29, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
:Hi there, I have seen the timeline. I think that it is something which can help benefit people who dont really want to read too many words. Great contribution! Zhengkai08 (talk) 12:58, 2 September 2022 (UTC)

30px|link=|alt=Control copyright icon ↗ Hello Zhengkai08! (''To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission ↗''.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright ↗ and plagiarism ↗ issues. Here are the key points:
- '''Limited quotation:''' You may only copy or translate a ''small'' portion of a source. Any direct quotations ↗ must be enclosed in double quotation mark ↗s (") and properly cited using an inline citation ↗. More information is available on the non-free content page ↗. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners ↗.
- '''Paraphrasing:''' Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information ''in your own words''. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues ↗ and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing ↗. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources ↗ as appropriate.
- '''Image use guidelines:''' In most scenarios, only freely licensed ↗ or public domain ↗ images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons ↗. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria ↗; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide ↗ may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- '''Copyrighted material donation:''' If ''you'' hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you ''may'' be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials ↗.

Car Personnel.
hiya I've noticed that you have shown an interest in the designers of F1 cars. This is a topic I've been working on for the past six years, pretty much on my own. Ofc I don't want to have a monopoly over this, but I think it would be good if we have a conversation about setting some sort of standardisation because I worry that there will start to be a lot of edit conflicts and I feel like we have a similar but slightly different idea of what is required. I'm sure once we have a proper conversation we can sort it. Kind Regards, Ralph. Ralphster7 (talk) 17:47, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
:Hey! I just saw your message. Sure, I am more than interested in having a conversation about this as well, yeah I am now also interested in the designers list about F1 Cars since I am also passionate about F1. Yeah it would be good to have some standardisation since it seems we may have overlapping but slightly different requirements. Looking forward to hearing from you about the required designers listed on an F1 car, then I could give my take on it. Cheers! Zhengkai08 (talk) 05:20, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
::I think the '''key things''' to resolve is that 1) there needs to be a '''ceiling''' in terms of number of people listed (I've always set 8 - 10 personally - atm Aston Martin has 18!!), 2) '''Verifiability''' is so so important, ofc LinkedIn can't be used as the "primary" source but usually teams have collateral from press releases / YouTube videos / websites that confirm these people are working at the teams, this explains why I can't add certain people even though they probably are working on the cars. 3) The '''key positions''' that need to be added on are. 1. Any executive engineering position (Chief Technical Officer), 2. Technical Director. 3. Any engineering position ending in "director". 4. Any chief engineer. 5. Head's of Design (Chief Designer), Aerodynamics and Vehicle Performance. That usually takes it to the magic number of 6 - 10.
::'''Aston Martin''' in particular is confusing - perhaps the team with the least amount of good sources - so I think the best solution is to only list them up to around 10 and then leave it.
::If you are interested in more of the details of F1 staff do let me know and feel free to contact me at +44, '''07917601785''' , I have a large amount of knowledge accumulated over the years and sources to prove certain things and nuances.
::An FYI. The '''McLaren''' pages need to be handled carefully as I believe the author wants them to be up to a certain standard, I was waiting to add a section about the designers which will confirm verifiability before adding the info box.
::Please in future feel free to ask any '''questions''' if you have any. I think over the years I've done a good job at getting the correct people to be listed but of course will appreciate any feedback and additions. Ralphster7 (talk) 10:02, 6 March 2026 (UTC)
Formula One designers
Your edits, as I have explained in numerous edit summaries, routinely disregard basic Wikipedia policies. I am yet to see you source a single one of your additions. The closest I've seen you come to doing so is to refer to people's LinkedIn profiles – an expressly disallowed source on Wikipedia. You expand infoboxes far beyond normally accepted or advisable limits. When this is explained in edit summaries, you feign ignorance. You need to familiarise yourself with the very fundamental policies in this area – namely, that additions must be verifiable, and that an infobox is a summary of the content already in an article. Your approach, as it stands, is disruptive. '''5225C''' (talk ↗ • contributions ↗) 05:40, 6 March 2026 (UTC)
:McLaren’s Technical Directors are already listed on their wikipedia page. McLaren discontinued the single technical structure with James Key after his departure. Unless you want me to add it to every individual cars, I am more than willing to. Zhengkai08 (talk) 08:03, 6 March 2026 (UTC)
::Yeah this is exactly the attitude I'm talking about. No, you obviously cannot refer to the constructor's article as a reference for a car's article. Even if that's what you were trying to do – and you've never suggested it was in your edit summaries – you've never ever linked to it in your edits to make the connection. Even if you had, Wikipedia cannot be used as a reference for itself. Moreso, you insist on changing articles from previous seasons, and not every one of those arrangements are described in the constructor's article. Wikipedia is not a database and the minutiae of a corporation's design department does not need to be detailed on every one of their products.
