Proposed deletion ↗ of Yōhei Tadano ↗
left|link=|48px| ↗
The article Yōhei Tadano ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗ because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy ↗, this newly created '''biography of a living person ↗''' will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source ↗ that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners ↗, or ask at the help desk ↗. Once you have provided at least one reliable source ↗, you may remove the {{tl|prod blp}} tag. '''Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced.''' If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can {{#ifexist:Yōhei Tadano|request that it be undeleted|request that it be undeleted ↗}} when you are ready to add one.<!-- Template:ProdwarningBLP --> Eeekster (talk) 04:13, 14 October 2012 (UTC)
Help
Could you help me? I'm new to the English Wikipedia and I'm starting here doing a translation from Japanese to English, but my Japanese is not very good. I'm not able to translate a sentence correctly, you could do this favor for me? If so, the sentence is:妻を亡くして以来優介を男手一つで育ててきたが、それが優介の女性恐怖症の一因ではないかと気にしており、その荒療治も兼ねて中村姉妹を看護師見習いとして預かる。 It's from article 1+2=paradise. I hope we can be good friends. Thank you very much.Ermeson15 (talk) 00:43, 16 February 2013 (UTC)

Wrestler updates
Hi, you may have seen my memo elsewhere but just in case: When you add any new information to a wrestler's article could you also add an update date (month and date as well) in the infobox? This will help us keep better track of which rikishi articles haven't seen much attention in a while. Just using it for the infobox is not nearly as useful because for many bread and butter rikishi their tables change very rarely even as their bios etc. slowly get information added. I already added the update date for Takanoyama's retirement that you added. FourTildes (talk) 22:28, 26 July 2014 (UTC)

Yoko Soumi and other live-action dubbing
Hi, thanks for adding more sources for Yoko Soumi ↗'s live-action dubbed roles. I removed some of the original actors where the Mausu profile does not show the original actor's name that she was voice matching. If you want those back in, please add the reference articles that shows the video itself insists on credited her as the voice match. Also mixed in Cameron Diaz's voice matched roles. I know JA wikipedia wanted to keep it separate but it doesn't need to be like that in the filmography. Instead, the biography can make a statement about how she voices a lot of Cameron Diaz roles, and whether it's purposely done with that in mind by the studio if appropriate. As for which editions (e.g. Blu-ray, special, NTV), that needs to be referenced as well so please add those as they are not shown in her Mausu profile. -AngusWOOF (talk) 17:37, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open! ↗
Hi,<br>
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election ↗. The Arbitration Committee ↗ is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process ↗. Speedy deletion ↗ nomination of :Category:2018 Japanese television series endings ↗
48px|left|alt=|link= ↗
A tag has been placed on :Category:2018 Japanese television series endings ↗ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category ↗, a category redirect ↗, a featured topics category ↗, under discussion at Categories for discussion ↗, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may '''contest the nomination''' by visiting the page ↗ and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Why do you insist on vandalizing the dub section of that page? Do you enjoy deleting what other people spent a lot of time working on, just to create a table that will be of use to no one? Please undo your latest re-edit or I will have to report you. I see you have already been warned for the same sort of behavior on other pages so you have no excuse. :I have respect for your work. But please see WP:RS ↗. I hope you will understand. Thank you.--55go (talk) 14:17, 4 April 2018 (UTC)
::You have zero respect. 99% of the entries I added, plus the ones that were already there, are on his JP Wiki page, or on the given movie's Wiki page. I don't see you deleting stuff over there because of lack of reference. And following that logic, then all content in other sections should be deleted as well, because there is no reference either. Maybe you would prefer the page to be almost empty? This is absolutely ridiculous. People like you discourage others from contributing valuable content.Pandora18 (talk) 17:02, 4 April 2018 (UTC)
:::I am glad we could reach some form of reasonable understanding. I have added a note at the top of the section saying that all entries are sourced from the JP wiki unless otherwise indicated. For the record, I totally understand the need for rules and am willing to source as much as possible, but in this particular case, the page would end up with hundreds of references in the footnotes and I think that would be total overkill. On another note, what do you intend to do with the table thing? Will you include all entries in that table eventually?Pandora18 (talk) 18:41, 5 April 2018 (UTC)

Proposed deletion ↗ of :Last of the Wolves ↗
left|link=|alt=Notice|48px| ↗
The article :Last of the Wolves ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗ because of the following concern:
<blockquote>'''Non notable future film, appears to fail WP:NFF ↗ as nothing was found in a WP:BEFORE ↗ except film database sites, videos, and promo material. Should be deleted or moved to draft until release and then notability can be established.'''</blockquote>
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons ↗.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process ↗, but other deletion process ↗es exist. Referencing in film list/filmography
I've reverted your edit on Ineko Arima ↗ which made the whole list invisible by comment tagging it and which you explained with the need of references for the films included in this list.
Not only is there no rule in MOS:FILM ↗ or related MOS which demands the referencing of every single film in such a list, in my opinion it is even a clear case of WP:OVERKILL ↗. In case you disagree, I invite you to discuss this over at Wikiproject Film ↗.

Recent edit to Sota Fukushi ↗
25px ↗ Hello, I noticed that you hid some content from Sota Fukushi ↗ by tagging "source needed" for films included in the filmography list and have reverted your edit. In the future, unless you have done your own research and found that there is no reliable source available to support an entry, it would be helpful for others if you first question an uncited claim by simply inserting the <code>{{tl|Citation needed}}</code> tag, or a more comprehensive {{tnull|Citation needed|reason{{=}}''Your explanation here''|date{{=}}{{CURRENTMONTHNAME}} {{CURRENTYEAR}}}}. See WP:Citation needed ↗ for more. This way, other editors can assist in providing reliable sources for unsourced claims. Thanks. Thatonerandomgirl (talk) 02:57, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

Yuri Tsunematsu ↗ filmography
Hi, rather than potentially engaging in WP:EDITWAR ↗, I want to civilly discuss the issue and come to an understanding and compromise. In regards to the comment to your most recent edit summary: "This is the English Wikipedia. It is neither Japanese nor Korean." - You are correct, this is English Wikipedia, not American Wikipedia. Hence, it seems a bit ignorant to use the Wikipedia pages of American actors as the sole standard. As I previously mentioned, South Korean actors on ENGLISH Wikipedia distinguish web series from television series. Therefore, it is not incorrect to distinguish the two, especially going by your logic of using a particular country's conventions for filmography on English Wikipedia. Also, it would be nice if you weren't so haste to tag filmography entries with "source needed", which hides the entries, instead of the WP:CITENEED ↗ tag as it makes it difficult to come back to add sources later on. Please consider using the <nowiki>{{</nowiki>Citation needed ↗<nowiki>}}</nowiki> tag next to unsourced entries for the convenience of me and other editors. I hope to politely resolve this issue. Thanks. Thatonerandomgirl (talk) 07:19, 10 December 2024 (UTC)

Kyoko Fukada
Hello. Rather than hiding huge chunks of Fukada's filmography, I think it would be preferable to put this template above it: Template:More citations needed ↗. I've seen it done in articles of other actors. That way, other editors will have incentive to actually add sources. By hiding a huge number of her works, nobody can see that her filmography needs fixing. It also makes it look as if she doesn't have an extensive body of work. Thank you. 176.214.205.211 ↗ (talk) 176.214.205.211 ↗ (talk) 09:32, 20 April 2025 (UTC)
:I'm declining your proposal. I cannot add information to the filmography when its authenticity is uncertain. If you have works you'd like to add, please provide the sources. Thank you. --55go (talk) 09:38, 20 April 2025 (UTC)
::Perhaps Japanese-centered articles have different rules. I just tried to do what I saw in the articles of English-speaking actors. For example, there was one actor's filmography that had a template like that. I saw which works lacked references and added them, and that template was removed because everything was sourced now. If those works were hidden, I wouldn't even know that it needs fixing.
::I don't have the same motivation for Fukada because I only saw one of her works, but I thought by adding this template and unhiding the works that need a reference would give other editors a boost to tidy up her filmography. Many of hidden works also have separate articles that prove her involvement in them. 176.214.205.211 ↗ (talk) 176.214.205.211 ↗ (talk) 09:54, 20 April 2025 (UTC)

This award recognizes an individual's activity over the entire year. If you look at other winners like Amane Okayama, you will see a long list of various movies and TV dramas he appeared in during that period. These are not "winning titles" but a summary of his yearly work.
Therefore, filling the "Work(s)" field with specific titles is misleading, as it implies the award was given for those particular projects. Following the established format for all previous winners, I used "Himself" (or "Herself") to accurately reflect that the award was presented to the individual. --55go (talk) 14:06, 16 January 2026 (UTC)
:Including the work(s) in the awards section is correct because the '''Elan d’or Award''' is explicitly granted for an individual’s '''notable performances in that year''', not for general career activity. Listing the specific TV dramas, films, or projects that led to the award '''reflects the basis of the recognition''', ensures verifiability from sources, and clarifies why the winner received this category.
:and “newcomer of the year” is the standard english label, "Elan d'or Award" is not category, the official '''award title wording was changed''': they now list it as “Elan d’or Award” and '''omit “Newcomer of the Year” in the title''', but the category itself (新人賞) still exists. Masaya1111 (talk) 15:24, 16 January 2026 (UTC)
::This is a difference of opinion. I will continue to use “himself” / “herself” for the 2027 recipients as well. However, I will leave the wording for Hokuto Matsumura to you. --55go (talk) 16:24, 16 January 2026 (UTC)
:::For awards like '''lifetime achievement, career achievement, or similar honorary awards''', the work column can be left blank or marked '''“N/A”''', because these awards are for a person’s overall contributions rather than a specific work. even in those cases, it is '''still incorrect to use “himself”''', because the recipient is already clear and adding “himself” is redundant and grammatically wrong.
:::and is '''not applicable to the elan d’or award''', because it is given for an actor’s '''specific contribution in a particular year'''. Masaya1111 (talk) 18:27, 16 January 2026 (UTC)
::::We will have to agree to disagree. If you find this unacceptable, please feel free to seek arbitration. --55go (talk) 01:12, 17 January 2026 (UTC)
Miho Watanabe
Hi,
Thank you for your hard work creating and maintaining various articles related to Japanese entertainment. Regarding your last edits on Miho Watanabe ↗, if "Lead role" should exclusively be reserved for 主演, I think it's objective to list ヒロイン as "Female lead" if the sources explicitly named her as such; otherwise, it would not accurately reflect the notability of her roles in those works. I also propose "Protagonist" for 主人公 or 主要人物. What do you think? PetéWarrior (talk) 02:21, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
:If a consensus is difficult to reach, another way could be to simply remove the Notes column altogether, just like in the cases of Mahiro Takasugi ↗ and Ryunosuke Kamiki ↗. --55go (talk) 04:13, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
::I appreciate your work on so many articles. As the creator and main contributor the Miho Watanabe ↗ page, I believe it's also important to reflect the importance of a person's role, which directly ties to their notability ↗. Consistency across the Wiki is important, but it could lead to loss of nuance of the person's importance to the work, and while the Notes column is optional ↗, removing it would reduce valuable information and cause inconsistency. I hope you can see this as respecting the collaborative nature of Wikipedia, rather than making a "special exception". Perhaps gradually updating the other pages you maintain over time would preserve the consistency. PetéWarrior (talk) 04:54, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
Question about To USD template
Hello @55go,
Thanks for your hard work. I noticed your recent edit on List of Japanese films of 2025 ↗ where you used USD conversion ↗ for <code>year=2025</code>.
I have been trying to use the same template for other countries, but it does not seem to work for <code>year=2025</code> yet, while JPN does. I'm wondering if there is a specific reason why this is the case. If you have any insight into how the template/module data is updated, I would really appreciate your help. Thanks in advance! Wheezythewave (talk) 20:39, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
:Thank you for reaching out! The reason it isn't working for other countries yet is that the underlying data module for 2025 needs to be updated manually. You can find the specific page here: Template:To USD/data/2025 ↗. At the moment, I believe only the Japanese Yen (JPY) and Russian Ruble (RUB) have been added. Once the exchange rates for other currencies are added to that module, the template should function correctly for those countries as well. --55go (talk) 08:40, 4 March 2026 (UTC)

Move of an article
Hi! I see you moved the title of an article without any reason why. I know this is how the game is spelled at MobyGames, but can you clarify this is what the title is? The "三" ins 三毛猫ホームズの騎士道 is San and the next is "Mo" so why did you change it to ''Mikeneko Homuzu no Kishido ↗''? Andrzejbanas (talk) 19:07, 26 June 2026 (UTC)
:Thank you for reaching out, and I apologize for moving the page without discussing it or leaving an explanation first. To answer your question, the title should be "Mikeneko Homuzu (or Holmes) no Kishido" because of how the word "三毛猫" is read in Japanese. While the kanji "三" can be read as '''San''' and "毛" as '''Mo''', when they are combined with "猫" (neko) to mean "calico cat," the entire word is read as a single unit: Mikeneko (みけねこ). If an official English title for the game is ever discovered or verified in the future, it would be appropriate to move the page to that official title. 55go (talk) 22:39, 26 June 2026 (UTC)
::Thank you! I did not realize. I will adjust the article now if you had not. Andrzejbanas (talk) 22:48, 26 June 2026 (UTC)
