Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia ↗! Thank you for your contributions ↗; however, ''please'' remember the essential rule of respecting copyright ↗s. '''Edits to Wikipedia may not contain material from copyrighted sources unless that text is available under a suitable free license ↗.''' It is almost never okay to copy extensive text out of a book or website and paste it into a Wikipedia article with little or no alteration, though you ''can'' clearly and briefly quote copyrighted text in the right circumstances. Content that does not comply with this legal rule must be removed. For more information on this, see:
- Copying text from other sources ↗

Wikipedia and copyright
30px|link=|alt=Control copyright icon ↗ Hello Ali Boutemtam78! Your additions to :User:Ali Boutemtam78/sandbox ↗ have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted ↗ content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain ↗ or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible ↗ copyright license. (''To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission ↗''.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright ↗ and plagiarism ↗ issues. Here are the key points:
- '''Limited quotation:''' You may only copy or translate a ''small'' portion of a source. Any direct quotations ↗ must be enclosed in double quotation mark ↗s (") and properly cited using an inline citation ↗. More information is available on the non-free content page ↗. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners ↗.
- '''Paraphrasing:''' Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information ''in your own words''. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues ↗ and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing ↗. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources ↗ as appropriate.
- '''Image use guidelines:''' In most scenarios, only freely licensed ↗ or public domain ↗ images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons ↗. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria ↗; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide ↗ may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- '''Copyrighted material donation:''' If ''you'' hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you ''may'' be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials ↗.
- '''Copying and translation within Wikipedia:''' Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia ↗. For translation, see {{section link|Help:Translation|Licensing}}.

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hi Ali Boutemtam78! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of :Apollo 8 ↗ several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy ↗ disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages ↗ to try to reach consensus ↗. If you are unable to agree at {{TALKPAGENAME:Apollo 8}} ↗, please use one of the dispute resolution options ↗ to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 14:17, 15 July 2025 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style ↗ that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. 25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, I'm Tacyarg. An edit that you recently made to :Draft: Mike Inik ↗ seemed to be generated using a large language model ↗ (an "AI chatbot ↗" or other application using such technology). Text produced by these applications is usually unsuitable for an encyclopedia ↗, and may contain factually inaccurate statements, fictitious citations, or other problems. You should instead read reliable sources ↗ and then summarize those in your own words. Your edit may have been reverted ↗. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.{{PAGENAME}} ↗ Tacyarg (talk) 19:28, 1 October 2025 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hi Ali Boutemtam78! I noticed that you recently made an edit at :Asmongold ↗ and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. On Wikipedia, "minor edit ↗" refers only to superficial edits that could never be disputed, such as fixing typo ↗s or reverting obvious vandalism ↗. National varieties of English
25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello. In a recent edit to the page :Kong Hwa School ↗, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English ↗ in Wikipedia articles.
For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English ↗. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English ↗. For something related to another English-speaking country ↗, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the ''first'' author of the article used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style ↗. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk ↗. Thank you. Tacyarg (talk) 19:26, 1 October 2025 (UTC)

Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not minor, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. Medusahead (talk) 09:01, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
The picture in the "Sudanese civil war (2023–present)" article.
Hello Ali, I hope you are having a good day.
It might improve the article "Sudanese civil war (2023–present)" to remove or edit the picture that you added to the article under the "Casualties and war crimes" section. I List some reasons below.
- The picture is too blurry to be able to see what's going on, and the caption only specifies that it is war crimes. There is no way to actually know that war crimes are in the picture, and it is just as likely that the picture depicts livestock.
- After using Google image search to find the origin of the picture, I found that there is no reputable source covering the image. The only discussions regarding the picture seems to come from X/Twitter and other such social media websites.
- The origin of the picture is questionable, it seems to come from Google Maps satellite view, specifically the coordinates 10°57'39.0"N 26°24'52.0"E on Google Maps.
-If the picture is from Google Maps, the copyright is very likely incompatible with Wikipedia's.
- If the picture is from Google Maps, the picture would not constitute as "Own work". Even if it is a screenshot.
If you still consider the image good to stay on the article, then that's no problem. I just felt that it could be good to bring up some concerns I had regarding the image.
And if you choose to keep the picture I also want to tell you that the first word in the caption is not capitalized.
Anyways. I hope you have a good day and sorry if I made a mistake or misunderstood something, I am quite new to Wikipedia's guidelines. In any case, Thanks for helping improve Wikipedia. :)

Oklahoma City Bombing ↗
Hello hello! I saw an edit you made to add a diagram of the damages you made to the OKC article. I reverted your edit, and just wanted to give you some constructive reasoning as to why. My first concern was a typo—the words on your graph said "DAMEDGE" instead of "DAMAGE." Second, scale—graphs like these are helped very much when given a scale to show how much damage there exactly was. Since this was focused on a building, maybe you'd use a scale of square feet. Third, the shapes. Your graph's damage outline was made up of mostly squares, and didn't quite extend as far into the building as the damage went. You can see it a little better in this image ↗ uploaded by the FBI—the damage had a lot of curvy shapes and extended a little over the middle of the building. Of course, it doesn't necessarily have to be exact. Apologies if I seem mean or rude, I just want to help you improve your graph and add it back into the article later!
Much love, rock on!
