Quick note on copy-and-paste page moves
25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hi, and thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste ↗ move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history ↗, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be ''moved'' to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits ↗, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab ↗ at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu ↗ for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect ↗ from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves ↗ to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut-and-paste-move repair holding pen ↗. Thank you. <!-- Template:uw-c&pmove-->

The arbitration policy ↗ describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Disambiguation link notification for April 5
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Gospel of John ↗, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page James Carroll ↗. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. <small>Read the FAQ{{*}} Join us at the DPL WikiProject ↗.</small>

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to :Luxor, Pennsylvania ↗. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox ↗, you added it as a thumbnail ↗. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE ↗). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:
{{para|image|{{var|<nowiki>thumb|Some image caption ↗</nowiki>}}}}
Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:
{{para|image|{{var|SomeImage.jpg}}}}.
There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as {{para|caption|{{var|Some image caption}}}}. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Axos Financial page edits
I noticed that you were interested in finance topics and was hoping you might be willing to chip in at Axos Financial ↗. I work for the company and have been trying to get an editor to consider my suggested changes for 4.5 months. At one point an editor said the article was too boring, so I thought someone interested in finance might take more of an interest. I've asked to remove content ↗ that lacks independent secondary sources and to add sources where possible Gfrostaxos (talk) 18:29, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
:@Gfrostaxos: Thanks for being up front about your connection to the company. A couple of thoughts: 1) The comment that the article is "too boring" is really not relevant. It's more important to have an article that follows the "neutral point of view" principle ↗. 2) There are too many statements that are supported by a company news release or SEC filings. We prefer verifiable, reliable secondary sources. But I hesitate to delete all such statements and leave nothing in their place. That guts the article that someone took time to construct, and I don't know enough about the company or the industry to provide something better. 3) The quarterly earnings release is a routine event that's not worth mentioning. Yet the article is silent on the March Newsweek ↗ and Rolling Stone ↗ stories about the Trump refinancing. Cordially, BuzzWeiser196 (talk) 14:05, 17 March 2022 (UTC)

We will be doing them every other month, so there's none for May, but I look forward to seeing you sign up for the June edition. The drive's target was to improve Wikipedia's coverage of financial markets ↗. Awards ↗ were given to those who participated.
'''June Drive topic for discussion:''' We're currently brainstorming topics for our June Content-creation Drive. Join the discussion here ↗.
'''Content work:''' Two articles in our purview have received DYK nominations. Real Estate Bank of Arkansas ↗ was created and nominated by {{no ping|Hog Farm}} and Ranchlander National Bank ↗ was created and nominated by {{no ping|Sammi Brie}}. They're currently running in the WikiCup, so good luck to them! UBS ↗ has been nominated for a Good article reassessment ↗. If you wish to help, leave comments in the nomination ↗.

Population was spread out
I see you fixed that on one article. I made the mistake of updating the population of Goose Creek, South Carolina ↗ after seeing a newspaper article listing the largest cities in the state. But I found a 2019 estimate in the infobox that can't be fixed and an unsourced description of what the 2020 census said. So there's conflicting information, plus "the population is spread out". I know you can fix one of the problems but who can fix the others?— <span style="color:#070">Vchimpanzee</span> • <span style="color:#aa4400"> talk</span> • <span style="color:#700">contributions</span> ↗ • 17:06, 4 June 2022 (UTC)

:::@Vchimpanzee:I've removed the 2019 estimate from the population section of the infobox. Major cryptocurrency firm article corrections and important updates
Hi, I see you’re a participant in the WikiProject for Finance and Investment and are currently active on Wikipedia. There are some corrections and important updates needed in the article about Digital Currency Group ↗, one of the major players in cryptocurrency. I’ve started a discussion here. ↗ I have a COI, as fully disclosed on the page. Given the nature of the topic I thought this might be of interest to you as a participant in the Finance and Investment WikiProject. Thanks very much for your time. CertifiedTurtle (talk) 23:11, 28 February 2023 (UTC)
:Thanks for getting in touch. Normally I try to help, but in this case I think it's best to decline. I know little about crypto, and nothing at all about Digital Currency Group. And this page is pretty contentious. So I think it best that I sit on the sidelines and wish you well with your project. Cordially, BuzzWeiser196 (talk) 20:00, 3 March 2023 (UTC)

Formatting medical references
In your edit on the Alzheimer's disease article, Special:Diff/1297689598 ↗, the source wasn't formatted correctly or with all its information that would be useful to readers wanting to assess the whole source.
The article is listed on PubMed ↗, where a Wikipedia editor can copy the PMID number 38849944, and insert it into the Wikipedia citation template tool ↗, check the "add ref tag" and "use full journal title" boxes, then "submit" to generate this:<ref name="pmid38849944">{{cite journal |vauthors=Ornish D, Madison C, Kivipelto M, Kemp C, McCulloch CE, Galasko D, Artz J, Rentz D, Lin J, Norman K, Ornish A, Tranter S, DeLamarter N, Wingers N, Richling C, Kaddurah-Daouk R, Knight R, McDonald D, Patel L, Verdin E, E Tanzi R, Arnold SE |title=Effects of intensive lifestyle changes on the progression of mild cognitive impairment or early dementia due to Alzheimer's disease: a randomized, controlled clinical trial |journal=Alzheimer's Research & Therapy |volume=16 |issue=1 |pages=122 |date=June 2024 |pmid=38849944 |pmc=11157928 |doi=10.1186/s13195-024-01482-z|doi-access=free |url=}}</ref>
If the ref is going to be used again, give it a unique WP:REFNAME ↗, such as "ornish", and don't fill in the article URL because the article has a PMC number which produces the full article. Also, don't be concerned about the large list of authors because the Alzheimer's article has a "config-sys" parameter that limits author displays in references to 6 names.
The feedback on the Alzheimer's talk page was useful for identifying this study as primary research in a limited design, i.e., it's too preliminary for the encyclopedia and not a mainstream review; see middle paragraph of WP:MEDSCI ↗.
Hope this is useful. Good luck! Zefr (talk) 16:38, 28 June 2025 (UTC)
:Yes, very useful. I appreciate the response. This topic is important to me. I have been tentatively diagnosed with mild neuro-cognitive disorder due to a medical event (COVID-19). I'm about to be a patient in an observational research study and am hoping that will speed up access to a definitive diagnosis. I'm trying to learn everything about it while I still can. Regards, BuzzWeiser196 (talk) 17:32, 28 June 2025 (UTC)
::You might be interested in the article on Long COVID ↗. I'm curious about what you would expect from a "definitive diagnosis". How would this help you deal with mild cognitive impairment? Most people who've had COVID have lingering effects over months/years - mild cognitive effects ("fogginess") is prevalent; there is no drug or even useful diagnostic and treatment process because of the many possible organs affected and interacting conditions. There's no evidence that experiencing mild cognitive effects now translates to severe decline (or Alzheimer's) in the future. I hope your participation in the research gives good insight. Good luck! Looking for help publishing a draft article — Australian M&A advisor
Hi BuzzWeiser196,
I'm reaching out because your background in corporate finance aligns well with the subject matter.
I've drafted a Wikipedia article about Simon Bedard, an Australian M&A advisor and National Chair of the Australian Institute of Business Brokers. The draft is here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Habibiwise/Simon_Bedard
I'm looking for an experienced editor who could review the draft, help refine it to meet Wikipedia's standards, and submit it for publication. I can provide additional sources if needed.
Would you be open to taking a look?
Thanks,
