Things you need to know first
upright=0.5|thumb|Alllrrighty, ''don't take this seriously'', but take the text on the right seriously!|left ↗
This is a set of things to put it at best that you '''may''' need to know before leaving a message here, this is to prevent dubious messages and disruptive stuff from accidentally occurring.
- '''Do not leave personal attacks''': It's not a great thing to do if you're trying to resolve something, plus it ruins your reputation, especially if it's a first impression.
- '''It's ok to say sorry''': Apologizing to all your fellow editors and giving WikiLove ↗ is a great way to resolve a situation! I would be more than glad to get just '''one''' of these, as long as you stick to your word, it's recommended after a tough situation occurs. :]
- '''Be civil whilst leaving a message''': If you're being really uncivil, I'll just revert the talk message or archive it ↗, read WP:CIVIL ↗.
- '''No legal threats''': Self-explanatory, not a great way to make me do something, and makes you look bad, plus we probably live in different countries!
- '''Assume good faith''': I'm a newcomer, so I may make mistakes whilst trying to improve Wikipedia to the best of my abilities. With all of these circumstances, It's best to assume good faith!
- '''Have a respectful tone''': What this means is that you should not assume bad faith, use langauge that can be interpeted as hostlie, or accuse me of misconduct without evidence. Tone indicators ↗ and emoticons ↗ can help me avoid misinterpeting your message.
- '''Mental issues''': I will have an altered perception and will overthink your and my messages, so please keep it clear with your messages. :)

Campssitie, as a new editor, I strongly suggest you find other activities that help improve the encylcopedia other than participating at WP:ANI ↗. No one with just over a hundred edits should have 20% of those edits be on an Admin noticeboard. While input from non-admins is permitted, it is generally expected that those engaging in a discussion have a strong understanding of various Wikipedia policies and guidelines and are able to provide a policy-grounded perspective to the discussions they participate in. Comments such as this ↗ and this ↗ aren't particularly helpful. I understand that there is a draw to the drama when a new editor discovers admin noticeboards, but it really is best not to get caught up in it, it rarely ends well.-- <span style="color: Navy;">'''Ponyo'''</span><span style="color: Navy;">''bons mots''</span> 19:37, 26 February 2026 (UTC)

:::::Mhm, you're very welcome! I've tried to help the article out, but I'm guessing the text is a separate problem entirely ↗. I removed an obvious "Not X, but Y" statement for starters in the '''Behavior''' section. I'll go ahead and quote it below:
:::::{{tq|These findings suggest that vocalizations in ''Hypocnemis'' species are '''not''' only crucial for reproductive isolation and species delimitation, '''but''' also mediate social interactions and behavioral coordination.}}

::::::I have traced the AI slop to a student who did it in one edit a year ago and doesn't seem to have done anything since. Do you think tagging the article is useful, given that?
::::::I'm focused on just trying to get rid of false and unsourced material (like the Plumage Table, now gone, which was close to 100% falsehoods). Thanks for taking a look at the article! My current biggest problem is references to offline books that I don't have access to.
::::::I'm also trying to gather energy for merging in Warbling Antbird ↗ since the RfD discussion seems to be tending that way. Never done anything like that before, but much of Warbling Antbird ↗ was also AI (from the same editor) so can just be deleted.
::::::When I created my account, Wikipedia suggested I look at Warbling Antbird ↗ for "5-10 minutes of copy-editing." Famous last words! M kuhner (talk) 17:59, 6 May 2026 (UTC)
:::::::Your welcome ''haha'', 99% sure it's 5-10 hours instead.
:::::::For your question though, I'm pretty sure. It would take a ''while'' to clean up all the LLM stuff and the citation issues, including the fact it would attract more editors to this glaring issue. That would help us significantly.
:::::::For the merging discussion, I haven't parted in any merging in my life, but I think I could help. :)
:::::::I'll try my best to clean up most of the WP:AISIGNS ↗ and WP:AIPUFFERY ↗ from both articles, but I think it would be helpful to tag 'em. Seen the Warbling Antbird article tagged with additional citiations.
:::::::So cheersies, again! <span style="font-variant:small-caps;background:rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.05)"><span style="color:dodgerblue">★ Campssitie</span> <small>(msg) (contribs ↗)</small> 🧋🏖</span> 04:36, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
::::::::I put ai-generated tags on both articles and added explanations on the Talk pages. trying to fix a year-old LLM insertion in Mariam Luyombo ↗
Hi Campssitie, wanted to ask some advice and I noticed you'd looked at this article. A year ago now-banned editor Wkambale made a big LLM edit to it and introduced hallucinated references. If we'd caught it right away it'd be revert-worthy, but there have been some edits (including yours) since then. Problem editor introduced the whole infobox which is non-factual (the person he gives as her maiden name is someone else as far as I can tell, the cited paper doesn't exist, etc). Do I just rip everything out that he put in, and do some collateral damage? I'm inclined to do that because it's BLP. I think there's too much of others' work to just delete the whole article (Wkambale did not create it). You're more experienced with this and I'd love to hear what you think. M kuhner (talk) 04:41, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
:I am (cautiously) thinking the original name claim is true, but still, the sources are nonsense. M kuhner (talk) 04:55, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
:Thanks for pointing this out, but that's a lot of unsourced content, yeesh. I'll try and manual-revert most of the prose Wkambale generated. Per WP:BLP ↗ you can try and find more high-quality sources for them unsourced content, but most of it gotta to be removed sadly.
:I've edited the article now, you've done a great job trying to clean it up too! <span style="font-variant:small-caps;background:rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.05)"><span style="color:dodgerblue">★ Campssitie</span> <small>(msg) (contribs ↗)</small> 🧋🏖</span> 09:05, 31 May 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for fixing the GaWC assertion and providing a reference for it. I guess that, like me, you then patted yourself on the back for your good deed -- somewhat dampened by "Hang on, there are still over a hundred other references to be checked?" And concluding, "Hell no!"
That's OK, just do as much as you feel like doing. (If a reference already provided is competently written and turns out to confirm what it's presented as confirming, then updating its "access-date" would be helpful.) Don't do any more. (As for me, I don't feel like doing any more today.)

BLPKIND at AfD
Hello! Thanks for hatting the off-topic comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mercury in corn syrup ↗. Please bear WP:BITE ↗ and WP:BLPKIND ↗ in mind though. In particular, the TA comments were before the account Drdufault was created, and I don't think anyone will be misled into thinking they were different people, so there's no need to criticize the apparent WP:LOUTSOCK ↗. Referring to the comments as {{tq|advertising}} is also a bit strong, and perhaps not in line with WP:AGF ↗.
We don't need to cut BLP subjects much slack when they're arguing to ''keep'' the content about which they have a COI, but it's still a good thing that they show up themselves rather than, say, hiring a UPE firm, and we should try to encourage that kind of behavior wherever possible. <span style="color:var(--color-link-red);background:inherit">lp0 on fire</span> <span class="skin-invert" style="color:#006537;background:inherit">()</span> 16:59, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
:Thank you, I have edited the message to remove "advertising" if your wondering, haha. <span style="font-variant:small-caps;background:rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.05)"><span style="color:dodgerblue">★ Campssitie</span> <small>(msg) (contribs ↗)</small> 🧋🏖</span> 18:02, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
:I am also grateful for the hatting, and honestly sympathetic to Campssitie's view here: those comments were pretty far out of line, and the discussion has just continued in that vein. (The edited version is an improvement, though.)
:I'm also irritated by being repeatedly first-named by Drdufault when my name, while easy to figure out, is not in my signature. Decided it was off-topic to comment on that, though. I'm backing off that discussion to avoid bludgeoning. Haven't !voted because frankly I am too angry to make a level-headed decision. M kuhner (talk) 22:15, 4 June 2026 (UTC)

discussion on AINB
I am not linking anything here because you may not want to have anything to do with this...but you thanked me for one of the edits on this case, so I thought I'd ask.
If one reads the HIPAA talk page it becomes apparent that not only are both Jgellatly and Compliance-Expert using LLM, and both have conflict of interest on this topic (Jgellatly acknowledged, whereas Compliance-Expert said nothing until they got caught), but they are either working tightly together or are the same person.
I don't have the technical competence to know ''why'' these two are pushing for specific text in these articles, but I feel like there's a financial incentive in play. I note Compliance-Expert's statement {{tq|Please feel free to edit as needed. The goal is to get this information live as the deadline date for compliance has passed}} in particular.
I don't know what's actionable here, but it doesn't feel good to me at all. M kuhner (talk) 07:19, 13 June 2026 (UTC)
:{{courtesy link|Wikipedia:AI_noticeboard#User:Jgellatly|AINB discussion:}}
:Yeah, I also don't know why they are doing this. Besides it not being good to me too, it seems to be undisclosed COI WP:PAIDEDITING ↗ to me. My WP:AGF ↗ hat cracked when Jgellatly (no ping) evaded the AI question, which is... something.
:{{tq|If one reads the HIPAA talk page it becomes apparent that not only are both Jgellatly and Compliance-Expert using LLM, and both have conflict of interest on this topic.}} I checked it right now, very fishy. WP:DUCK ↗ may apply ''if'' they are sock ↗s of each other. Try to match speech patterns for both and editing style. Does it look fishy? We need evidence to take this to SPI.
:{{tq|but I feel like there's a financial incentive in play. I note Compliance-Expert's statement Please feel free to edit as needed. The goal is to get this information live as the deadline date for compliance has passed in particular.}} Seems to be, since "deadline" and "information live" make my alarms sound.
:<small>{{tq|[...] ..but you thanked me for one of the edits [...]}} Oh, for context on why I thanked your edit though, I, in quote, {{tq|lurk in at the drama on WP:ANI or WP:DRN, '''usually known by your comment being thanked by me'''. Other boards, such as WP:SPI or '''AI Cleanup''', may be lurked too.}}, which was caused by https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk%3ACampssitie#Please_reconsider ↗.
:Also, a mistake: {{tq|not only are both Jgellatly and Compliance-Expert using LLM, and both have conflict of interest on this topic}}, I assume you mean "but" instead of "and". Don't take this seriously, just trying to help.</small>

::Oh! I'm offended! I did actually mean "not only X, and Y, but also Z" for rhetorical impact. Well, also it was after midnight and I ''was'' offended, by the reams of LLM text I'd just read.
::I think matching speaking style might be hampered by the lack of humans speaking: it's Claude (or similar) chatting with itself much of the time, so of course they sound similar. Because of that I honestly have no idea if it's sockpuppets or meatpuppets, but those two accounts are not independent, and the use of Compliance-Expert to validate Jgellatly's challenged posts is unsavory.
::I'll do some data collection. M kuhner (talk) 14:58, 13 June 2026 (UTC)
:::Sorry for offending you, lol! LLM text integrates into my speech style sometimes, for example WP:AIPARALLEL ↗.
:::{{tq|I think matching speaking style might be hampered by the lack of humans speaking: it's Claude (or similar) chatting with itself much of the time, so of course they sound similar.}} I was wondering why their speaking patterns closely resembled Claude, so that may be the case. I also read lots of ChatGPT and Gemini text so it's fishy to me.

:::::Glad for the 2/3 progress! Though, to not ping someone, don't link them when you write out their name. (like '''M kuhner''', see? ::::::Would appreciate comments on User:M kuhner/sandbox/case1. In particular, while I feel strongly about the COI, is it worth including? It's a diffuse problem and much harder to show than LLM. Maybe I'm just venting my wrath rather than writing the cleanest possible case. Also, it's possible that just raising a flag at AINB would get this dealt with: is ANI justified? M kuhner (talk) 20:48, 14 June 2026 (UTC)
:::::::ANI is a last resort, I suppose, though there is a noticeboard (COIN) ↗ for COIs, so you might take a shot there.
:::::::From the noticeboard page, it is for determining whether a specific editor <small>(Either Jgellatly or Compliance-Expert)</small> has a conflict of interest for a specific article <small>(maybe HIPAA or Medcurity?)</small> and whether an edit by a COIN-declared COI editor meets a requirement of the Conflict of Interest guideline.
:::::::However, don't make a separate case at ANI ''and'' COIN, that can be seen as a type of forum shopping ↗. I'd recommend focusing on ''one'' report for Jgellatly, while also providing evidence that they may be connected to this user (Compliance-Expert) and proving they are not independent.
:::::::{{collapse|1={{blockquote|
::''Jgellatly is a paid editor, as disclosed on their user page, for Medcurity, a HIPAA security risk management company. As a mitigating factor, this disclosure was their first edit and they have mentioned the COI on article talk pages when appropriate.''
::''I argue that Jgellatly is WP:NOTHERE due to persistent violations of WP:NOLLM and WP:COI.''}}
:::::::- {{grey|Might be a little jumbled up? I'd recommend making the first paragraph a brief notice on the top, like:}}
:::::::{{hatnote|Jgellatly is a paid editor, as disclosed on their user page, for Medcurity, a HIPAA security risk management company. They have mentioned the COI on article talk pages when appropriate.}}
::::{{blockquote|''The overall pattern is of Jgellatly (supported/directed by Compliance-Expert) adding material for the benefit of Medcurity.''}}
:::::::- {{grey|From the wild evidence you have collected, it seems like this is what's happening.}}
::::{{blockquote|''I have raised a separate ANI report about User:Compliance-Expert.''}}
:::::::- {{grey|As I said before, {{tq|I'd recommend focusing on ''one'' report for Jgellatly, while also providing evidence that they may be connected to this user (Compliance-Expert) and proving they are not independent.}}}}
:::::::|2=Case 2}}
:::::::I don't want to get too involved, so I'll stick to lurking on this case. <span style="font-variant:small-caps;background:rgba(255,255,255,0.05)"><span style="color:dodgerblue">★ Campssitie </span><small>(msg) (in solidarity, #943 ↗)</small> 🧋🏖</span> 02:39, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
::::::::I totally get it.
::::::::Compliance-Expert has not edited since March, and reports on people who aren't active seem ill-received. I think I'll raise an admin alert on AINB about the other guy. I am super irritated by '''30''' identical malformed references added to different articles in 10 minutes. M kuhner (talk) 22:24, 15 June 2026 (UTC)

Dragostea din tei ↗
Hi there. Please read my last edit summary on the article above. Changes that better the flow of the prose are welcome, however not ones that mass remove text. Also, the lead is not too lengthy for the (massive) article, but rather briefly summarizes every key aspect of the article if you go through it. Thank you. Greets; Cartoon network freak (talk) 00:11, 18 June 2026 (UTC)
:Thanks, feel free to add back the paragraphs I removed in the lead. I'll still try and tighten up the prose, just by not mass removing stuff. I do recommend doing a manual revert instead of restoring a revision, because that removed my changes that better the flow of prose. <span style="font-variant:small-caps;background:rgba(255,255,255,0.05)"><span style="color:dodgerblue">★ Campssitie </span><small>(msg) (in solidarity, #943 ↗)</small> 🧋🏖</span> 07:25, 18 June 2026 (UTC)
::Also, {{tq|[...] AI was not used to generate text on its own, but rather to polish already written text [...]}}? I assume that's why there were many signs of LLM ↗, such as WP:AIVOCAB ↗ and WP:AIWEASEL ↗ <small>(there are many more but its too much)</small>. I know this article's old and you probably don't use LLMs anymore, but if you choose to do so in the future, I'd recommend you restrict it to basic copyediting per WP:LLM ↗, that states {{tq|Don't use AI writing tools such as large language models to generate or rewrite article content}}. <span style="font-variant:small-caps;background:rgba(255,255,255,0.05)"><span style="color:dodgerblue">★ Campssitie </span><small>(msg) (in solidarity, #943 ↗)</small> 🧋🏖</span> 07:31, 18 June 2026 (UTC)
:::Hi there again. First of all, I apologize for not having done a manual revert, and thank you for your comments regarding LLM. I did go over the text multiple times and rewrote it after I received the LLM's suggestions on how the better the already existing prose. However, I appreciate your help on making the prose flow better. I have made some more edits myself on the article now since I felt some things didn't do it justice. First, the practice of having several one-line paragraphs is not common, at least not with music articles, especially when the topics discussed do not differ that significantly in order for them to be in need of a para split. Second, some of your edits have removed some important details, for example that a release was specifically in the physical format or that some statements are not official media reports but rather statements from the band members. There are more examples, but these stuck out to me the most. Please take a look at my edit summaries and do contribute with more edits if you feel like they add to a better flow. However, they should not remove slight, but important details of the article. Regards; Cartoon network freak (talk) 21:43, 19 June 2026 (UTC)
::::Don't worry, I accept your apology, and you are very welcome for my comment regarding LLM usage. I didn't know my edits removed details you've added, and that one-line paragraphs are uncommon.
::::I'll take a look at your edits. Best regards. <span style="font-variant:small-caps;background:rgba(255,255,255,0.05)"><span style="color:dodgerblue">★ Campssitie </span><small>(msg) (in solidarity, #943 ↗)</small> 🧋🏖</span> 07:35, 20 June 2026 (UTC)
