Speedy deletion ↗ nomination of :Ronald Breaker ↗
48px|left|alt=|link= ↗
{{Quote box|quote=<p>If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article ↗.</p><p>You may want to consider using the Article Wizard ↗ to help you create articles.</p>|width=20%|align=right}}
A tag has been placed on :Ronald Breaker ↗ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because the article appears to be a clear copyright ↗ infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of ''information'', but not as a source of ''sentences''. This part is crucial: ''say it in your own words''. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators '''will be blocked from editing ↗'''.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you ''must'' verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials ↗. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission ↗. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines ↗ for more details, or ask a question here ↗.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the '''the page's talk page directly ↗''' to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for ''speedy'' deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. <!-- Template:Db-copyvio-notice --> <!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> <span style="color:#003300; font-family: cursive;">'''Pesky'''</span> (<span style="color:#336600;">talk</span> …''stalk!'' ↗) 07:41, 2 October 2011 (UTC)
Category:Yale Sterling Professors
Hi, I've sorted out the Category:Yale Sterling Professor category. There was no easy way to do it as we can't move a page that doesn't exist to replace a another one so I created the :Category:Yale Sterling Professors ↗, repopulated it and deleted the old one as being an empty category. I think it's all OK but you might want to just look it over. Kind regards, Malcolmxl5 (talk) 23:08, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

It shouldn't be problem. The original was deleted as a WP:PROD ↗ so can be recreated at any time. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 15:19, 22 September 2012 (UTC)

My apologies - I was under the strong impression that he went straight from the Ph.D. portion of his M.D./Ph.D. program to a faculty position. I will try to find a source on how long his post-doc at the MBL was. Thanks for the note about this! Orangutans (talk)
Proposed deletion ↗ of Gerald Crabtree ↗
left|link=|48px| ↗
The article Gerald Crabtree ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗ because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy ↗, this newly created '''biography of a living person ↗''' will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source ↗ that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners ↗, or ask at the help desk ↗. Once you have provided at least one reliable source ↗, you may remove the {{tl|prod blp}} tag. '''Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced.''' If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can {{#ifexist:Gerald Crabtree|request that it be undeleted|request that it be undeleted ↗}} when you are ready to add one.<!-- Template:ProdwarningBLP --> Gaijin42 (talk) 18:33, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
:Hi Giajin42. The HHMI biography has typically been considered a reliable third party source. I just wanted to confirm my thoughts on that before removing the {{tl|prod blp}} tag.Chrisvanlang (talk) 01:06, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
::I removed the BLPPROD. Per rule, there has to be no references or external links (reliable or unreliable) in order to add a BLPPROD. As the BLPPROD was added against the rules, I deleted it. Bgwhite (talk) 01:24, 30 October 2012 (UTC)

Proposed deletion ↗ of List of investigators of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute ↗
left|link=|48px| ↗
The article List of investigators of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗ because of the following concern:
:'''This article appears to have no noteworthy content, is an orphan, and has no references or sources.'''
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons ↗.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary ↗ or on the article's talk page ↗.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process ↗, but other deletion process ↗es exist. In particular, the speedy deletion ↗ process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion ↗ allows discussion to reach consensus ↗ for deletion.<!-- Template:Proposed deletion notify --> Jame§ ↗ugrono 14:10, 14 May 2013 (UTC)

Advice
Hi. I'm sure you are aware of the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest ↗ policy. I appreciate that you are skilled in certain areas and have kept off the topic of your own employer, but you need to understand that the COI guidance also applies to academic colleagues and anyone you may have a close association with outside Wikipedia.Deb (talk) 14:31, 12 March 2018 (UTC)
:Hi Deb. I took a quick look at my edits over the past couple of years. I don't have any COIs to report and I don't have any personal or business connections with any of the articles that I have created/edited. We should be set. Thanks for the cross-review. --Chrisvanlang (talk) 15:11, 12 March 2018 (UTC)
::Thanks. I try to make sure people are fully aware because so many newer users aren't. No offence taken, I hope. Deb (talk) 15:30, 12 March 2018 (UTC)
