|style="vertical-align: middle; padding: 3px;" | Thank you for paying attention to my page! I'm a little confused, however, because I used the visual editor, and I thought it automatically formatted elements such as links to Wikipedia pages and citations (unless I manually input information for those, which I did in several cases).
I don't want to reverse your corrections because I'm sure you wouldn't have done them if they weren't needed. But I do want to learn about this issue and how to avoid it. Somebody else had told me to get rid of the external links in my copy, but I couldn't figure out what he meant because I thought my text links were to Wikipedia pages, and my external links appeared in citation footnotes. This is my first serious page contribution and I sweated every detail, so I'm trying to absorb whatever guidance experts like you can provide.
Again, thanks for the look at the page. It appears you are a reviewer ... so what did you think? How can I get this page approved, or what other work do I need to do? I've been tightening the text and cutting the discography (and keep going back to trim more), but I think it reads pretty well, has solid attribution (with external links in the process of being backed up in the archive) and is about a notable person worthy of coverage.
I hope you don't mind me asking so many questions, but I sure appreciate any input you might be inclined to offer.

:Thanks ... thought I saw something about you being a reviewer. In any case, I understood what your corrections were, but the point I was trying to make is that I used visual editing, not source editing, so I didn't do the coding. It was automatic. So I'm not sure whether it makes a difference whether I code it with your instructions or use the coding that visual editor automatically created. I'm not sure why visual editor would exist if it's going to code everything incorrectly; I just know that if it didn't, I'd never have the patience to manually code every single name and italicized title in this thing (which was twice as long when I first submitted it).
:I did find the external references you mentioned in the discography, and frankly, I have no idea why I did them that way. I just turned them into citations. I still need to create archived pages for references in that section, but I still think it's ready to be published; I just wish I could get someone to actually review it and make that happen.
:Thanks so much for the attention and responses. TexasEditor1 (talk) 09:03, 10 August 2022 (UTC)

{{ping|Cmr08}}, Thanks for changing the px and adjusting the other stuff! Greatly Appreciate it!
One question though, how do the px's work? I honestly was just copying another article's format since I've only been here for less than 3 weeks.
:Hi {{u|The Capitalist forever}}, px is short for pixel. It just means how big the image should appear. It was listed as 150 pixels which was pretty small. I just leave images in their default size, which is done by leaving the image_size parameter empty. Cmr08 (talk) 08:25, 12 May 2023 (UTC)

Clarifying some stuff
Hi there @Cmr08,
I wanted to give you a heads up on some of your edits to my pages (eg: Anikv ↗, The Limba ↗, Niletto ↗, etc.). In case you didn't see, those are pages I translated from the Russian Wikipedia, so there was bound to be some errors here and there. I was merely trying to at least start those pages here on the English Wikipedia, so I didn't really do as thorough of a job as I should have. Also keep in mind that I don't bring every single thing over to here (either because I chose not to translate it, the sources there are blacklisted here, or some other reason). That's why there are expansion tags on those pages for editors that might be interested in doing so. That being said, thanks for the edits you made to them. They're very helpful. Losipov (talk) 21:47, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
: Hi {{U|Losipov}}, I think the extent of my edits to those articles was to fix small manual of style edits. I didn't even notice the expansion templates. Cmr08 (talk) 05:34, 20 May 2023 (UTC)
Boukari Laouali
Hello, thank you very much for your contributions on my article (Boukari Laouali). Can you help me introduce links on the page to remove the tag (orphan)? Thanks in advance Wikipedien28 (talk) 11:55, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
:Hi {{u|Wikipedien28}}, I'm sorry for taking so long to reply, I haven't been online for a couple of days. From your question, I think you have misunderstood what an orphan is. Adding links in the Boukari Laouali ↗ article does not make the article no longer an orphan. To remove the orphan tag, we need links in other articles directing to the Boukari Laouali ↗ article. Clicking on "what links here" in the tools menu will show what articles are linking here, and it appears that you have removed the orphan tags from this article and the Polha Andrea ↗ article, when they are both clearly still orphans. Thanks for your contributions to Kelvin May ↗. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because '''it needs more sources to establish notability'''.
I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page ↗.

:Hello Jay Kenechukwu (talk) 08:13, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
:: Hi {{u|Jay Kenechukwu}}, my only edits to this article were to add a period at the end of a sentence, and to add a couple of categories. I make edits to many articles when doing cleanup, but if I'm editing content, I like to edit articles I'm familiar with, so I don't think I would be much help to you with this article. Also, if you checked my edit contributions before coming back a second time, you would see I hadn't been online since your first message so that's why you didn't get a response until now. George Bain (Academic)
Hi Cmro8, thank you for your recent edits to the George Bain (academic) page. I have inserted some additional references and removed the tag relating to disclosure of payment as I have now added the paid disclosure to my user page and flagged it up in a recent edit summary,
I’m a newbie to Wikipedia. I've been a professional copy editor for many years and George Bain engaged me to edit his autobiography last summer. While doing this I realised ‘his’ previous Wikipedia page contained several factual errors and that there were also significant omissions in relation to his career. In the interests of accuracy, I made several substantial corrections to this page some months ago. Since then, the page had remained relatively untouched until I posted a help query, after which the tags appeared. My help query related to the side bar. I’ve been unable to insert a reference to Bain’s role as Director of the Industrial Relations Research Unit at the University of Warwick, which is a major omission. Is this something you can help with?
As several references have now been added, can the tags referring to citations now be removed? Also, I’m not sure how to address the tag stating that the page reads like a résumé. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks and best wishes. Ashanza5 Ashanza5 (talk) 18:11, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
:Hi {{u|Ashanza5}}, the only edit I made to this article was to put the headers in the correct format, so I don't think I can be of much help with the issues you mentioned. How does Reviewing actually work?
Hello user:Cmr08 ↗ I just wanted to know from your perspective what reviewing a newly created page means? and when does one actually mark an article as reviewed?
just curious as I don't find any answers on Google that explains the reviewing processes simple enough. for Example if more than 2/3 reviewers and autopatrolled users worked on a article when does it actually get marked as reviewed? please don't scold me im just trying to learn more from experienced editors instead. ChadLawrence021 (talk) 09:15, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
:Hi ChadLawrence021 ↗, I'm confused. I'm pretty sure this is the first time I have met you, and wonder what makes you think I would scold you for asking a question on my talk page? I would never scold a new editor or any editor for that matter who asked me a question. As for your question, I'm not a reviewer so I don't know exactly what it involves as I'm not actually allowed to mark a page as reviewed. The edit I made to an article you created was just putting headers in sentence case as that's the format Wikipedia uses. Have you checked out the Teahouse ↗ yet? That's a great place for new editors to ask questions, I'm sure an experinced editor would be able to explain the role of reviewers or the review process much better than I could. Cmr08 (talk) 10:28, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
: No, we don't know each other, I just discovered your edit and was curious to ask you since you're a user that patrolls new pages. And back when I was editing with IP address I would ask a editor a question and they scold at me by saying create an account and read through Wikipedia policies and guidelines which I did and is understandable also as without an account no one would take me serious as an editor, sometimes it's not as easy to understand somethings that's why I ask a more experienced user in that field or doing that type of work but I will further take me questions to the Teahouse ↗. Thank you
Chad.

Your opinion about an addition I'm about to publish for "John Kennedy (Louisiana Politician)"?
Wondering if you would consider this relevant - it's actually probably what he's most known for (hope you don't mind my asking you on here):
Speaking Style
Kennedy is known for his pronounced Southern drawl ↗ and his "folksy" manner of speaking. He is also known for his occasional irreverent rejoinders during congressional hearings. In a 2020 BuzzFeed News ↗ article by Paul McLeod, Kennedy once said in a hearing: "Giving Equifax an IRS contract would be like 'giving Lindsay Lohan the keys to the minibar.' He once told a judicial nominee, “just because you’ve seen My Cousin Vinny ↗ doesn’t qualify you to be a federal judge.” Some colleagues who knew Kennedy during the Louisiana politics days claim he sounds different than the person they remember, prompting a 2023 article in The Guardian ↗ to ask the question: "Is his accent a put-on?", likening it to being somewhere between "that of Mr Haney, the con artist from the former CBS sitcom Green Acres, and Foghorn Leghorn, the cartoon rooster who appears in Looney Tunes." Mass communication professor at Louisiana State University Robert Mann said, “He plays the role of a clever hick who, while unsophisticated, is always quick with a put-down for smug city slickers.”

Request your help
I am a relatively new Wikipedia editor. I was wondering if you could help me, as you already made a few constructive corrections on an article -- Jim Simon (writer) ↗ -- I am now working on. The article has been tagged with the following message " It may require cleanup to comply with Wikipedia's content policies, particularly neutral point of view." I've since made a number of edits to the article trying to achieve this requested "neutral point of view". And I'd appreciate if another editor such as you can review the article and let me know if the tag can be removed. If it can be removed, how would removal be done? Also, how can I get other editors involved on my articles since I am most interest in the area of American comic writers and creators -- I would like to work with editors who know this area.
Hope to hear back from you, and thanks. HarvResearch (talk) 01:01, 14 July 2025 (UTC)

Request to discuss Asmau Ahmed article edits
Hello Cmr08,
I hope this message finds you well. I noticed you reverted my recent edits to the Asmau Ahmed Wikipedia page back to an earlier version. I wanted to reach out to explain the context and see if we can work together on improving the article. I was attempting to update my biographical page with current, well-sourced information. The existing article contained several factual errors (incorrect educational background, wrong employment dates, and outdated career information) that I was trying to correct using reliable sources.
I have come to understand that large-scale edits to biographical articles can trigger anti-vandalism systems and that's valid. Would you be open to discussing the best way to incorporate these factual updates?
Thank you for your time and for helping maintain Wikipedia's quality standards.
Best regards, Ozohu Ozohu (talk) 04:38, 17 April 2026 (UTC)
:Hi {{u|Ozohu}}, the only edit you made from this account was this messege to me, so I could not have reverted an edit you made. If you are talking about the edits to Asmau Ahmed ↗ that were made by a temp account, I was not the editor who reverted those edits. The editor who reverted your edit was {{u|Isaidnoway}}, that's who you should be talking to about this. If you look at the article history, the only edit I made to the article, was to add a "References" section that was missing from article, there was no revert involved. ::Thank you. I’ll reach out to @Isaidnoway. Ozohu (talk) 07:25, 19 April 2026 (UTC)
Image replacement request
Hello @Cmr08,
I am the subject of the article Chandra Kafle ↗ and have a conflict of interest (COI), so I cannot edit it directly.
Currently, there is a low quality WEBP image in the article taken from my website without proper licensing by any other editor.
I have uploaded a better quality licensed photo to Wikimedia Commons:
Could you please:
Remove the current WEBP image and replace it with the Commons image in the infobox
Thank you for your time!

:Hi {{ping|The Chandra Kafle}}, I have not made any edits to that article, so I don't know why you posted this on my talk page. The correct page for making a COI edit request would be the talk page of the article, or you could ask one of the editors who have edited your article. Cmr08 (talk) 03:40, 20 May 2026 (UTC)
thx for fixing my broken text
