How to respond to having an article edit of yours reverted
Hi, Denninithan. Seeking consensus ↗ with other editors about article content is a key feature of Wikipedia's collaborative editing environment. When an edit you make is reverted by another editor, if you still believe your original edit was correct, you should go to the Talk page of the article to discuss the content disagreement with the other editor, and with any other editors interested in the topic. Simply reinserting your disputed content because you believe your reasoning was correct is contrary to consensus operation, and without the principle of consensus there would be chaos, with editors simply reverting each other endlessly and whipsawing the article back and forth, with no settlement of the underlying issue, and making no progress in developing the article. This type of back-and-forth reversion has a name at Wikipedia, and it's called Edit-warring ↗, and is something to be avoided.
With respect to my removal of your edit ↗ at Judaeo-Romance languages ↗, what you did next was to add the disputed content back into the article again, whereas what you should have done is to go to Talk:Judaeo-Romance languages ↗ and make your case there about why your approach is the correct one. I give you credit for going to my Talk page and raising the issue there, but 1) no one will see it there, and 2) you didn't wait for a response, you just reinserted the disputed content back into the article. This is how edit-warring gets started.
I won't remove your content again for now, to avoid spurring it even more into edit-warring territory. However that doesn't mean you can just ignore the situation, because a content disagreement still remains. I'll repeat here the offer I made to you on my Talk page to move your comment to Talk:Judaeo-Romance languages ↗ where any content disagreement can be discussed, and where other interested editors may find it and join in.
Going forward, if an editor reverts an article edit of yours, please follow dispute resolution guidelines ↗ and start a discussion on the article Talk page, instead of reverting back and insisting on your version. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 23:31, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
: By mutual agreement at my user talk page, that discussion can now be followed here ↗. Mathglot (talk) 00:14, 24 December 2023 (UTC)

Hi, Denninthan. You have been pinged from the talk page of this article about verification issues which mean the article fails to comply with WP:V ↗. Introduction to contentious topics
{{ivmbox | image = Commons-emblem-notice.svg |imagesize=50px | bg = #E5F8FF | text = You have recently edited a page related to '''the Arab–Israeli conflict ↗''', a topic designated as '''''contentious ↗'''''. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and <em>does <strong>not</strong> imply that there are any issues with your editing</em>.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as ''contentious topics''. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee ↗. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators ↗ have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit <strong>carefully and constructively</strong>, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia ↗;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines ↗;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system ↗.
<p>Additionally, you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days ↗, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on any page within this topic.</p><p>Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics ''procedures'', you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard ↗ or you may learn more about this contentious topic here ↗. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{tl|Ctopics/aware}} template. </p>}}<!-- Derived from Template:Contentious topics/alert/first --> signed, '''''Rosguill''''' ''talk'' 16:40, 4 March 2025 (UTC)

Stub categories
25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Greetings! It appears that you have been directly adding stub categories to articles. Stub categories should only be added by templates, as explained at Wikipedia:Stub ↗. These templates automatically add any relevant stub categories. Adding the category directly creates problems if there is a need at some later date to change stub category names or to split stub categories. Using stub templates is also recommended as they add prompting messages to editors reading stub articles. Your work in sorting these stub articles is very useful, but it would be even more useful and greatly appreciated if you could use stub templates to do so! Thank you. <small>(This message is a boilerplate, left here as a courtesy by Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting ↗, and should not be considered personal in nature.)</small><!-- Template:Uw-directcat --> <span style="background-color: #483D8B; color: #E6E6FA">Mox Eden</span> (talk) 12:52, 20 April 2025 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hi Denninithan! I noticed that you've made several edits in order to restore your preferred version of :Ilhan Omar ↗. The impulse to repeatedly undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure that you're aware of Wikipedia's edit warring policy ↗.
