25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hi DessHolliday, thank you for your contributions. Just saw your recent edits at the page '':The Life of a Showgirl ↗'', where you have linked some pages stating your reason as further reading. While you are most welcome to make your helpful edits, there is a need to bring your attention to these policies: WP:OVERLINK ↗ and WP:NOPIPE ↗.
- Generally, the words that are very common sense ↗ are not linked for further reading to there pages, until there is something required very specifically. It is also avoided to repeat the linking within the prose of the same article.
- Also, when you wrote <nowiki>melodies ↗, it is an unnecessary linking and piping using the bar symbol |. The plural words can be directly linked like melodies ↗ (again, this needs to be specific and not very common). Otherwise, s can be put after the brackets like bottle ↗s.</nowiki>
Hope this basic summary helps, you can study the policies thoroughly as well. Thank you! '''M.''' Bill'''oo''' 17:07, 21 August 2025 (UTC)
:Hi, @M.Billoo2000! Thanks for the information. Sorry to over-link!
:Quick question - to fix the <nowiki>melodies ↗</nowiki> (using this as an example), would I switch to the source editor? I added that link using the hyperlink symbol in the visual editor. Just wondering if that can be avoided by only highlighting the singular part of the word in the visual editor or if I'd have to go into the source editor for that.
:Thanks again! DessHolliday (talk) 17:42, 21 August 2025 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, I'm Criticize, and welcome to Wikipedia ↗. I appreciate your contributions ↗, but in one of your recent edits to :Novo Nordisk ↗, it appears that you added original research ↗, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources ↗ in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source ↗ for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources ↗. Thank you.<!-- Template:uw-nor1 --> Criticize (talk) 14:57, 9 October 2025 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to :ExtraMile Convenience Stores ↗ when you modified the page, you introduced {{cl|Unknown parameters|unknown parameters}}. Just because you specify {{para|some_param|{{var|some_variable}}}} does not always mean that variable will display. The {{para|some_param}} must be defined in the template. Date formats
Hi there! Thanks for your edits on Mary Fortune ↗. I wanted to let you know that I've unfortunately had to undo your changes, and just wanted to explain why so that you are aware for future. On Wikipedia both "DMY" (e.g. 1 January 2000) and "MDY" (e.g. January 1, 2000) dates are acceptable, with the former being more common in Commonwealth English and the latter being more common in American English. When deciding which variety of English ↗ or which date format ↗ to use in an article, there are two considerations: the format used by the article's first major contributor (WP:DATERET ↗), and the national ties of the subject (WP:DATETIES ↗). In this case the article has a {{t|Use dmy dates}} template and is about an Australian subject, so the Commonwealth date format should be retained rather than switching to the American MDY format.
I hope that makes sense, and do just let me know if you're unclear at all on how to apply that rule. If you're looking for other copyediting or cleanup tasks, WP:TASK ↗ has a whole bunch of maintenance backlogs that you might enjoy helping out with. Happy editing! :But regardless, I was aiming to fix the formatting to the original source/correct formatting per MOS. If there was an accidental issue, please let me know and I'll be aware in the future. Thanks! DessHolliday (talk) 16:58, 26 January 2026 (UTC)

Do you think Draft:Weird Route ↗ should have its own standalone article? (feel free to look at the draft)
Hiya Dess! I was wondering if you potentially think that a WP:PROPSPLIT ↗ for the Deltarune's alternate route article section would be a good idea. Do you theoretically think that the Weird Route can have its own standalone article? The reason why I say this is because my homie @Organhaver originally brought up the idea because there were reliable sources of significant coverage of the Deltarune Weird Route, take a look:
https://www.avclub.com/deltarune-weird-route-game-theory (this one in particular is the strongest and this is recent from December 2025)
https://www.gamespot.com/articles/best-of-2021-how-deltarune-chapter-2-portrays-a-disturbingly-dark-relationship/1100-6499235/
https://www.destructoid.com/deltarune-chapter-2-snowgrave-route/
To be more specific, what I want to do is remove the alternate section of the main Deltarune article and just merge that into the Draft:Weird Route ↗ where it directly is about Deltarune's Weird Route. Several sources discussed the Weird Route and even offered its reception and analysis. Also, I would love to see Weird Route images on the wikipedia page haha (not that I'm a psychopath ofc just bcuz deltarune gang)
Do you want to merge, do you agree with this, do you disagree, etc. Up to ya ofc :)
@Organhaver said I can do WP:PROSPLIT ↗ at the main Deltarune article whenever I want and agrees with it but I wanna hear your input/perspective just to be curious on where you stand hehe KrispyBlueJays (talk) 06:25, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
:Hi @KrispyBlueJays!
:So, I'm a bit torn on this one, like I was for the Sword Route discussion! Same as I felt before, until we can corroborate the significance of the SR or the WR to the overall plot, it may not meet platform standards for notability for a whole article just yet'''.''' As mega-fans of Deltarune, we can personally tell that it's likely to have a greater impact on the overall story somewhere down the line, but a casual player may not even realize you can go on the WR.
:Is my whole YouTube algorithm Weird Route analyses and Chapter 5 predictions? 100000000% But I think we'd need a tad more notability and source coverage to break it out into it's own article. (Unless those 3 were just examples and you can find more that align with Wiki guidelines! :) ) Maybe we wait to see where the Weird Route and Sword Route go in Chapter 5 and Chapter 6? Maybe Toby will ultimately make it necessary to one extent or another to play the Weird Route in order to entirely beat the game. (Ex, if you need the thorn ring for something later on, even in normal gameplay).
:Maybe then we can justify an entire alternate route article that covers every run you can take? Especially if they win any game awards or anything!
:As far as images go, I noticed a major lack of DR imagery on Commons. I wanted to add Ralsei images to an article and couldn't find any that were of the actual character. To add WR images, we'll either need to purchase licenses for the images or find a fair use/public domain one. Which is where I've been hitting a wall!
:That being said, let me know if you need help with any of this! I'd love to hear how you'd structure the article/what you'd include! I'm totally open to discussing this - maybe I'm off! :) DessHolliday (talk) 17:16, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
::Oh I 100% understand where you're coming from haha. I think honestly, though while yes, the Sword Route is 100% likely to be dead - the difference is that the weird route has 100% more coverage than the SR. I couldn't even find any sources that talk about the Sword Route directly just only guides which probably ain't enough to establish notability haha. So I personally believe that, given there are sources about the Weird Route, it could be a possibility.
::That said, I completely agree that more sources would strengthen the case - and I'm optimistic Chapter 5 might bring exactly that, especially if the route continues.
::As for images: totally fair point about Commons! You can use non-free screenshots under fair use once the Weird Route article is already in mainspace or we can just borrow images from https://deltarune.wiki ↗
::and ALSO yes I would love to see more sources about the Weird Route GAHHHH. Three sources are 100% about the Weird Route and honestly I agree I'm hoping and praying that we get a shit-ton of sources once Chapter 5 drops.
::it would 100% be easier once Chapter 5 of the game is finished, because that could make a case for notability if more sources cover not only the Deltarune characters like Noelle, Susie, and Ralsei, but also the Weird Route, potentially.
::Btw, speaking of the Noelle Holiday draft, it didn't get accepted, unfortunately, because most of the sources discussed Weird Route Noelle, BUT the reviewer said she absolutely 100% has a chance for notability once Chapter 5 gets released, so honestly! The same thing could honestly be said for the Weird Route!
::I'm hoping there's more to discuss or write in the Draft:Weird Route ↗ and the good news is that I included the analysis/reception/reactions of the Weird Route (thanks to the signifant coverage of sources) which is the one thing that has more details than the current Deltarune alternate section of the article. I'm not sure what the first image would be (chapter 2 snowgrave gif haha or just the mechanics of the snowgrave from a screenshot or whatever you can think of you think is best) KrispyBlueJays (talk) 18:25, 1 March 2026 (UTC)

You did this again at :USA Capital ↗ when you modified the page, you once again did this. If you continue your disruptive editing ↗, you may find yourself blocked from editing. Please take the time to review your edits moving forward. <!-- User:Zackmann08/uw/Thumb-Warning --> '''<span style="color:#00d5ff">Zack</span><span style="color:#007F94">mann</span>''' (Talk to me ↗/<span style="color:orange">What I been doing</span> ↗) 00:55, 7 April 2026 (UTC)
:Hi @Zackmann08.
:I am a little disappointed here - I always preview my edits and am unsure of where the issue is - does it lie in the templates I am using for the infoboxes? Maybe I am using the wrong infoboxes or mispopulating them? I just recently started trying out adding infoboxes, so please advise and assume my positive intent, as I obviously want to avoid being blocked. Wiki has become a hobby of mine and I want to support the platform as best I can and continue to enjoy my time here.
:Being that your last messages were under the same header and only moments apart, I thought you had accidentally pasted the warning template twice. I also only saw them recently (this morning), so please do not think I was disregarding or ignoring your messages.
:Please accept my sincerest apologies and understand that I only have good intentions. I am more than happy to chat about this to ensure it does not happen again. As I said before, Wiki has become a safe space and hobby for me, and I am heartbroken to have received this latest message.

::I think I may have been too harsh on you and for that I apologize, though I am glad this time got your attention...
::Let's back up. Please consult this diff ↗... If you preview the previous version (Special:Permalink/1347422372 ↗) you will see an error message showing that {{para|fate_date}} is not a valid parameter.
::I too found comfort and a hobby in editing wikipedia when I started editing 14+ years ago. Still do. '''PLEASE''' do not get discouraged because of one bad interaction, particularly not one from me! Keep trying. Keep making mistakes (and learning from them). We were all new once. Should you need help in the future, don't hesitate to reach out! :::Hi, thanks so much for hearing me out and the clarification. I see what you mean!
:::I really appreciate the conversation here. thank you again!

::::Please stop adding {{para|nationality}} to infoboxes. That is not a valid parameter. '''<span style="color:#00d5ff">Zack</span><span style="color:#007F94">mann</span>''' (<sup>Talk to me ↗</sup>/<sub><span style="color:orange">What I been doing</span> ↗</sub>) 03:39, 10 April 2026 (UTC)
:::::I would recommend you discontinue use of the WP:VISUALEDITOR ↗. It does not properly display error messages and as a result you are breaking dozens of pages. ::::::Oh, I bet you that's the issue. Thanks for catching that! When reviewing my edits, it never has shown me an error message, so I'm guessing that's where the issue is. DessHolliday (talk) 14:41, 12 April 2026 (UTC)
;MOS:INFOBOXUSE ↗
Per MOS:INFOBOXUSE ↗, please do not add infoboxes to existing articles without a WP:CONSENSUS ↗ to do so on the Talk page. -- Ssilvers (talk) 17:05, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
:Hi! Any page I have added an infobox to has been sourced though Category:Biography articles needing infoboxes, where there should be ongoing discussions on each talk page for the articles listed in that category. I will be extra cautious of this moving forward. Thanks! DessHolliday (talk) 17:32, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
:User:Ssilvers Consensus is NOT required to add an Infobox to an existing article. If you so object to the addition of Infobox you are free to revert said addition, but the notion that you must establish consensus before adding an Infobox is preposterous. ::Beginning the draft at Draft:The Roaring Knight ↗. I believe this article is notable enough for Wikipedia, so we'll see Monathephantom (talk) 00:38, 11 June 2026 (UTC)
:::@Monathephantom fantastic! I am logging off to go on vacation (...or holiday, if you'd accept the pun LOL) so i'll take a look when I get back over the weekend or sooner if i have wifi on the flight. thanks!!! :) DessHolliday (talk) 17:20, 11 June 2026 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to :Michael Joo ↗ when you modified the page, you introduced {{cl|Unknown parameters|unknown parameters}}. Just because you specify {{para|some_param|{{var|some_variable}}}} does not always mean that variable will display. The {{para|some_param}} must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview ↗ button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a '''Show preview''' button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history ↗ of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk ↗ for assistance.
Thank you.<!-- User:Zackmann08/uw/Unknown-params-warning --> '''<span style="color:#00d5ff">Zack</span><span style="color:#007F94">mann</span>''' (<sup>Talk to me ↗</sup>/<sub><span style="color:orange">What I been doing</span> ↗</sub>) 02:23, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
:thanks! Just a placeholder from my drafting that snuck through. Won't happen again! DessHolliday (talk) 13:54, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
