Articles for deletion

Sorry I had to revert you edit on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Total refraction ↗. That article is only for Total reflection ↗.

The delete process is bit arcane. I believe most users who submit "AfD" requests use the tool call "Twinkle". That tool is mentioned in the image on the Articles for deletion ↗ page. The tool will do the work once you figure out the right spot and how to use it. Johnjbarton (talk) 19:39, 8 June 2025 (UTC)

The idea to delete an article about a Star Trek episode

Hello. About the article about the ST: TNG episode titled "Violations": You said that the article doesn't provide sources. That may mean that verifiability hasn't been established in the preferred way, by enabling readers to see why Wikipedia editors made the statements that are made in the article.{{pb}}When there are uncited claims, the claims may still be verifiable, and it's just that Wikipedia fails to help readers verify them. That does not in itself mean that such claims are unverifiable, but it does mean that the policy about helping readers verify information, called "Verifiability ↗" (imagine that it was called "Policy about helping readers verify information in Wikipedia articles while reading the articles without a need to make web searches or go to a library"), is not being followed.{{pb}}This problem is sometimes easy to fix: Editors can find sources about the subject, check the statements made against the sources, and add a supporting citation for statements which are supported. If they cannot find sources themselves, they can ask other editors for help.{{pb}}Ultimately, editors may remove information for which they could not find supporting sources and for which sourcing is unlikely to be found.{{pb}}They may also remove all of the unsourced information right away, list the available sources, and begin writing the article pretty much from scratch.{{pb}}All of that is only tangentially connected to the question of deletion. No TNG episode article should be deleted, because all of those episodes are wp:Notable ↗. Editors already know that sources exist for each individual episode, but some episodes' articles are quite neglected. Please see {{slink|Wikipedia:Notability#Notability is based on the existence of suitable sources, not on the state of sourcing in an article}}.{{pb}}I have listed some sources in the Deletion review discussion. If you would like to edit articles about Star Trek episodes, you may use those sources to improve this article. There's no use in trying to get this deleted, because it's not the right approach. Sincerely—Alalch E. 16:30, 9 June 2025 (UTC)

Proposed deletion ↗ of Seth MacFarlane's unrealized projects ↗

Hello, Dr. Gregory House&#39;s Missing Cane

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Zanahary, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed ↗ an article that you started, Seth MacFarlane's unrealized projects ↗, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria ↗, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article ↗.

If you wish to contest the deletion:

# MacFarlane's unrealized projects}}&action=edit Edit the page ↗
# Remove the text that looks like this: <code><nowiki>{{proposed deletion/dated...}}</nowiki></code>
# Click the {{Clickable button|Publish changes|color=blue|link=no}} button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to '''explain''' why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page ↗ and '''improve''' the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means ↗.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with <code><nowiki>{{Re|</nowiki>Zanahary<nowiki>}}</nowiki></code>. And remember to sign your reply with <code><nowiki>~~~~</nowiki></code>. Thanks!

20th Century Animation template

Coincidentally, a few days before you added a bunch of titles to this template, I posted a query on the talk page https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template_talk:20th_Century_Animation&diff=prev&oldid=1302758506 ↗ asking for an explanation for the listings under "Associated productions", with the intention to remove them all. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I reckon the additions have been made erroneously, perhaps confusing titles produced by the studio with ''all ''animated films released by 20th Century Fox.

I plan to strip out all unrelated titles from the template. If you have any comments, please contribute to the conversation at the talk page. Barry Wom (talk) 14:00, 31 July 2025 (UTC)

I appreciate your contributions ↗, but in one of your recent edits&nbsp;to :Warm Bodies (film) ↗, it appears that you added original research ↗, which is against Wikipedia's policies. :No, you are engaging in what appears to be in an edit war. For one, you keep reverting edits for no reason whatsoever. I fixed an error in the filmography that someone forgot to fix, and there was NO NEED to revert. And two, that photo from 2013 was taken off from the article so I managed to restore it from the article. So no, you had no reason to revert it. You need to stop this immediately. Dr. Gregory House&#39;s Missing Cane (talk) 16:49, 8 March 2026 (UTC)

30px|alt=Stop icon ↗ Your recent editing history at :Dan Povenmire ↗ shows that you are currently engaged in an '''edit war ↗'''. This means that you are repeatedly changing a page's content back to how you believe it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree with your changes. Please ''stop editing the page'' and use the '''talk page ↗''' to work toward creating a version of the page that represents consensus ↗ among the editors involved. Wikipedia provides a page explaining how this is accomplished ↗. If discussions reach an impasse, you can request help at a relevant noticeboard ↗ or seek dispute resolution ↗ such as a third opinion ↗. In some cases, you may wish to request page protection ↗ while a discussion to resolve the dispute is ongoing.

'''If you continue edit warring, you may be blocked from editing ↗ Wikipedia'''&mdash;especially if you violate the three-revert rule ↗, which states that an editor ''must not perform more than three reverts ↗ on a single page within a 24-hour period''. Undoing another editor's work&mdash;whether in whole or in part, or whether it involves the same or different material each time&mdash;counts as a revert. Also, please keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring&mdash;'''even if you do not violate the three-revert rule'''&mdash; if things indicate that you intend to continue reverting content on the page.<!-- Template:uw-3rr --> Magical Golden Whip (talk) 16:54, 8 March 2026 (UTC)
