Any chance you can add a URL for the DoB reference you put in the article? Thanks, --BwB (talk) 20:37, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
Sure, but you have to be a member on ancestry.com to be able to read it. DrKilleMoff (talk) 21:15, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
:Please do not use ancestry.com for birth and death dates - per consensus it is not a reliable source ↗ as it contains user-generated content. Note that findadeath is also not a reliable source - I suggest you read what constitutes a reliable source ↗ prior to making any additional changes to personal statistics in articles to ensure misinformation is not unintentionally being added to articles. --<b style="color:Navy;">''Jezebel's''</b><span style="color:Navy;">Ponyo</span>''bons mots'' ↗ 15:11, 27 December 2011 (UTC)
List of The Young and the Restless cast members ↗
Hello. We don't really need a consensus for the "deceased cast members" section on this article. When this cast members page was rebuilt last year, this section and others were deemed unneeded. Should a general reader want to know information about a former cast member that is deceased, they can visit the actor's respective article. The cast members page is supposed to be about current cast members (and List of previous The Young and the Restless cast members ↗ for former cast members). The deceased cast members section is fine where it is on the previous cast members page. It is not just one user's opinion on this. That being said, I would like to ask you kindly to stop placing this section back to avoid an edit war ↗. Thank you. :Right. But I do think that the list of previous cast members should be linked from the current list and vice versa. I had no idea that you had split them DrKilleMoff (talk) 19:02, 10 June 2013 (UTC)

Because the show you keep insisting is a major aspect of her her career....isn't a major aspect of her career. I didn't see ''Tremors'' mentioned in a lot of her obituaries. As well as the fact the show, having been cancelled after one season...10 years ago, wouldn't even be a major aspect of anyone on the show's career. Just because you believe it's notable doesn't mean it is. <i style="font-family:Rockwell; font-size:medium; color:red;">Rusted AutoParts</i> 13:27, 14 November 2014 (UTC)
I haven't said that it's a major part of her career but it's a part of her work and since it's obviosly notable enough to have it's own article and no one else has put a third work to her according to the rule of three I really can't see the harm of putting Tremors there. Perhaps it's not what she is most known for but in the other hand there is nothing in the wp guidelines that says that it's only what they are most known for that can be included as their work. If you say otherwise please show me WHERE in the wp guidelines that stands and I will rest my case.
And if you want examples on where it's mentioned in her obituarys here is one. http://variety.com/2014/tv/news/marcia-strassman-welcome-back-kotter-actress-dies-at-66-1201339759/. Here is two http://www.expressen.se/noje/marcia-strassman-har-gatt-bort---hon-blev-66/. And here is three http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/marcia-strassman-dead-actress-credits-744037. Good enough for you? I would say that Tremors is more notable for her than for example Death becomes her is for Carol Ann Susi whose role there was so small it isn't even mentioned on the first page for the films cast and crew on Imdb. DrKilleMoff (talk) 15:00, 14 November 2014 (UTC)
:Tremors is frequently just mentioned in passing. ''Honey'' and ''Kotter'' aren't. Susi didn't have that much of a career, so we add what we can. There's nothing in the guidelines that says you can't, but I don't advise adding it back. Myself and others have already removed it a few times now, so it's inclusion is disputed. It's just not a show that is a major part of her career. <i style="font-family:Rockwell; font-size:medium; color:red;">Rusted AutoParts</i> 17:36, 14 November 2014 (UTC)

I've already explained several times. There are two dates figuring around. March 2nd and March 3rd. And I haven't found a reliable source that confirms one or the other. And if you had bothered to check the talk page you would've seen that I've already brought up the subject there several years ago. DrKilleMoff (talk) 04:09, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
Tony Longo? On Y&R? For almost 10 years? Uhmm, no.
Please stop adding unsourced material to wikipedia.
The only source for this edit ↗ is the actor's IMDb page (which can never be used as a source for wikipedia) and this Hollywood Reporter link ↗ which gives no dates. For all we know, he could've been on for one day in a non-speaking role. It doesn't give any dates. Until such time as a valid source can be used to prove this info is valid, it shouldn't be here. Cebr1979 (talk) 23:14, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
It's not unsourced. That it's only based on his IMDB page is your personal assumption just becuase you haven't seen the episodes he appears in. And information based on your own assumption is not allowed on wikipedia. You are correct that the dates are not mentioned on Hollywood Reporter but that's rarely the case on Tv series in an obituary. But just to make you happy. Here is another article from Starpulse where the amount of episodes is mentioned. http://www.starpulse.com/news/index.php/2015/06/23/tony-longo-dies-veteran-angels-in-the- "He also had longer stays on several soap operas- eight episodes as "Carmine" on Days of Our Lives, and 46 eposes as Ray on The Young and the Restless.". Hope this makes you happy. DrKilleMoff (talk) 04:24, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
:You know what's not allowed on wikipedia? Unsourced material. Unsourced material from wiki projects like IMDb. Wiki projects that anyone can edit and make stuff up on. Like IMDb. I'm glad we were able to have this talk so I could correct you on something you have been ever so wrong about. I enjoy helping people become better editors. Thanks for a link that says he was on 46 episodes! Number of episodes is not how we list actors, though. When (if) you ever find a reliable source (which IMDb is NOT ↗) for dates, I would be happy. Ever so much so.Cebr1979 (talk) 09:58, 26 June 2015 (UTC)

Your excuse of "I don't see you demanding source for any of the other actors in deceased cast members section and there is no reason to why the information shouldn't be wrong" is absurd. If it's not sourced properly, there is every reason to believe the information could be wrong.Cebr1979 (talk) 11:59, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
No, it's not absurd. None of the actors in the section are sourced but to make you happy I've given you two sources which are not Imdb that confirms Longo was in Y&R and that it was not just "for one day in a non-speaking role". DrKilleMoff (talk) 12:10, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
:That doesn't make me happy, though, because you're still adding unsourced material (which isn't allowed). You don't know what dates he was on the show nor do you have any proof of the character(s) he played. None of that is in either of the sources you've provided (rendering them useless).Cebr1979 (talk) 12:12, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
If you had bothered to read the Starpulse article you would have seen that at least one of the characters is mentioned there. Specific dates are rareky mentioned in obituarys. But hey, guess what. I've found that for you as well. http://soaps.sheknows.com/latestnews/id/43981/. "He had numerous supporting character roles playing a tough guy in daytime, primetime and films, including on the soap operas "Days of our Lives" (ex-Carmine, 2007 to 2008) and '''"The Young and the Restless" (ex-PI Ray/ex-Fred Caffey, 1999 to 2006''')" DrKilleMoff (talk) 12:20, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
:Then you should go add that source and get rid of that useless Hollywood Reporter one. Then we could be happy. Ever so much so.Cebr1979 (talk) 12:23, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
Since it seems so important for you, why won't you do it yourself? DrKilleMoff (talk) 12:25, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
:I'm not the one that one who needs to source my edit. You added unsourced material. You should fix that.Cebr1979 (talk) 12:27, 26 June 2015 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for May 2
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of previous General Hospital cast members ↗, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tim O'Connor ↗ ([//dispenser.info.tm/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dablinks.py/List_of_previous_General_Hospital_cast_members check to confirm] | [//dispenser.info.tm/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dab_solver.py/List_of_previous_General_Hospital_cast_members?client=notify fix with Dab solver]). Edit to John Adams article
Hello. I acknowledge missing the relevant point in the article that you cited in the John Adams article. However, your citation was still not formatted properly. It is best to use one of the citation templates, in this case Template:Cite news ↗. This ensures that all of the relevant information about the source is present for our readers and helps make the source more accessible in the event that the link goes bad. If you look, you will see that the rest of the article uses that template or another relevant one when linking to articles on the Internet. Additionally, the source should not have been dropped in the middle of the sentence but rather placed at the end alongside the other reference to Adams' death. This way, the text is more organized and the reader is not confused about which source is to what. Please keep this in mind. Thank you. Display name 99 (talk) 12:41, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
Hi. Thank you for your feedback. I have always added sources the way that I did and I have never had any complaints about it before. I thought the main thing was that there were a reliable source and not the way it was formated. I thought it was best to do what I was familiar with since I don't know how to do it the other way and avvoid that it goes wrong. I can try follow the guide the next time but there is a lot of the wiki code that I'm not familiar with. DrKilleMoff (talk) 20:07, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
:Understood. That stuff is good to familiarize yourself with. The Adams article is a featured article, and featured articles have to be held to the highest standard. So if something is formatted improperly or in a manner inconsistent with the other sources, that causes the article to no longer be FA quality. Thank you for your contributions. Display name 99 (talk) 01:37, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
Shawn Batten ↗ edit
I have reverted your addition of an unsourced date of birth to Shawn Batten ↗. In addition to Wikipedia's basic principle of citing sources (Wikipedia:Citing sources ↗), a special need for citations applies with regard to elements of a biography of a living person (WP:BLPPRIVACY ↗). Feel free to add a date of birth when it is accompanied by a citation to a reliable, published, non-primary source. Eddie Blick (talk) 00:41, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
Heidi Lenhart ↗ edit
I have reverted your addition of a date of birth and the accompanying California Birth Index citation to Heidi Lenhart ↗. WP:BLPPRIMARY ↗ prohibits use of public records as sources for content about a living person. Eddie Blick (talk) 21:04, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
Would a birth certificate count as a primary source? DrKilleMoff (talk) 21:20, 7 June 2023 (UTC)
:Yes, a birth certificate is also a primary source. You need a reliable secondary source, such as a book, newspaper, or magazine. Eddie Blick (talk) 01:53, 8 June 2023 (UTC)

Hi {{ping|DrKilleMoff}}, the version of Margia Dean ↗'s page you reverted here ↗ used The Hollywood Reporter ↗ as a source. It may be that a reliable source has been added in interim edits. Thanks Jkaharper (talk) 22:37, 6 July 2023 (UTC)
Hi. The Hollywood Reporter source was not used when I reverted it. It was the glamourgirls source or whatever it was called. DrKilleMoff (talk) 22:39, 6 July 2023 (UTC)

It's not on the same place. The Hollywood Reporter source that was in the "Later life and death"-section and not in the lead where the previous one were and which was where I checked. DrKilleMoff (talk) 01:20, 7 July 2023 (UTC)

I suggest restoring the original text as it was fine as is. <span style="color: green;">'''Stefen <span style="white-space: nowrap;">Towers among the rest!</span>'''</span> Gab • Gruntwerk ↗ 18:45, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
Birthday without a year
@DrKilleMoff It's actually not my decision. Several other editors(including some admins) have agreed in the past that just the month and day someone is born is generally not noteworthy and doesn't impart any notable info to a BLP. But I'm not gonna revert your edit as I don't want to get into an edit war. Kcj5062 (talk) 17:27, 30 December 2023 (UTC)

What are you talking about? I had sources for both Heather Tom and Heidi Lenhart. Regarding Andre Khabbazzi he has done several work under the name Andre Kristoff. Google the name you see pictures of Khabbazzi. You can also see it here https://www.locatefamily.com/K/KHA/KHABBAZI-1.html DrKilleMoff (talk) 21:50, 15 February 2024 (UTC)

Does not seem to be a reliable source? According to who? You? In what way is Soapub not a reliable source? Regarding Bo Broman, it does give an exact birth date. You can see a birth day cake where it says "11 maj 1969". And do not try to threat me. You are not an admin and have no authority to block me. DrKilleMoff (talk) 00:23, 16 February 2024 (UTC)

:I am not threatening you. I am simply giving you a templated warning. You have history of making unsourced or improperly sourced edits to biographies. Meters (talk) 00:29, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
You have no authority to give me warnings either. You are a regular user, just like me. If you get consensus that soaphub is not a reliable source so fine, but right now it's only your opinion. Another user thanked me for adding the birth date info with the soaphub source to Heather Tom. DrKilleMoff (talk) 00:32, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
Meters I have updated the source on Heather Tom with one from Chicago Tribune. But to be clear on Soap Hub I have taken it up here as well as Ned Hardy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard#Soap_Hub_and_Ned_Hardy DrKilleMoff (talk) 00:59, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
:The Chicago Tribune is a much better source. Thank you for adding it. As for me not having the authority to give you a warning, well, you are simply wrong. One does not have to be an admin to give warnings. Meters (talk) 01:35, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
Meters But you do not have the authority to block me. Now I wonder what was wrong with the Ned Hardy source for Heidi Lenhart. You can'y just say it's unreliable just because you have never heard about it before DrKilleMoff (talk) 15:00, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
Ethel Kennedy
Hello, could you show me where in the CBS News ↗ article it’s said that she died Wednesday? For me the first paragraph says that "Ethel Kennedy, the widow of Robert F. Kennedy and a fierce human rights advocate, has died after suffering a stroke, a family member confirmed to CBS News.”, and later goes on to quote a Thursday statement from Joe Kennedy III ↗ that says she died "this morning". I’ve tried the article on multiple devices now so I don’t think it’s a cache issue or something.—Sunshineisles2 (talk) 15:58, 10 October 2024 (UTC)Is
It seems they have updated the article since I first read it. Now it does not say Wednesday anymore. But it did before. Anyway, I reverted my own edit since all other sources said Thursday. DrKilleMoff (talk) 16:24, 10 October 2024 (UTC)
:Thanks for the clarification. Sunshineisles2 (talk) 21:17, 10 October 2024 (UTC)

Walter Huston
Hello! I've noticed that you add the 1883 birth date to Walter Huston's entry. However, in the 1980 biography "An open book" written by Walter Huston's son https://archive.org/details/openbook0000hust/page/9/mode/1up?q=1884 ↗, John Huston claims that his father was born in 1884. 2A02:B021:8F03:B6A6:6AA1:CF3A:E928:9456 ↗ (talk) 22:15, 31 March 2025 (UTC)
Hi. That doesn't say anything about the birthday though. Both April 5 and April 6 is floating around. And also there is supposed to be a birth certificate that gives the date as April 5, 1883 (although I haven't been able to find his name yet in the actual document. To much pages to go through). If Walter lied about his age, like many movie stars did back then, he may as well have lied to John too. With that said, John's book weighs heavy, but not so heavy that we can take it as an absolute proof. DrKilleMoff (talk) 07:40, 1 April 2025 (UTC)
:@DrKilleMoff John Huston says that on April 6, 1950 he threw a party at Romanoft's in Los Angeles, for his father's birthday (p. 181 of this book). 2A02:B023:8F05:A498:7CAB:280A:6A68:1E44 ↗ (talk) 22:02, 1 April 2025 (UTC)
I have now found his birth certificate. It states him being born on April 6, 1883. DrKilleMoff (talk) 19:57, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
Gailard Sartain
Deadline did not confer with Sartain's widow. They point to a Facebook post ↗ that doesn't supply an age. THR conferred with his wife where the age was clarified and a stipulated cause of death. I've articulated this constantly so it's frustrating to see the date reverted again. <span style="font-family:Rockwell; color:red"><i>Rusted AutoParts</i></span> 20:42, 20 June 2025 (UTC)
Alright I have reverted it back, although I reverted back to Hee Haw from Fried Green Tomatoes on the Deaths in 2025. It's actually his most notable part even if it was uncredited. DrKilleMoff (talk) 20:58, 20 June 2025 (UTC)
